We had another amazing stay with excellent hosts. I highly recommend staying here, close to downtown, cute and charming house, and very clean! We have stayed here on multiple occasions and we enjoy it more each time.
Check-in was easy. We found the house had everything we needed and was nice and clean. It was walking distance from the Village of Alexandria Bay. We found plenty to do in the area to keep us busy all week!
Thank you to the owners for letting us stay at your gem of a home. Are time there was short but we will return. We loved the Rock House!!We celebrated our 13yr wedding anniversary during our stay. We visited Boldt Island, what a great addition to our stay!! My wife & I spent hrs exploring the island talking, reminiscing about our life journey together and all the things to come.We enjoyed time walking & exploring town. Highly recommend concerts in the park. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the locals of the area.Great shops, great food, & great peopleUntil next time…….
Incredible Rock wall home provides a spacious oasis for fun and relaxation
Felt right at home the moment we pulled into the driveway. All the necessary amenities and accomodations. The boulder wall of granite made the large 2 level decked patio the place to be, so relaxing and enjoyable.
The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It's great for a couple or a small family. It's in a quiet neighborhood but walking distance to downtown, grocery store, pharmacy etc. We would definitely stay here again. 😊😊😊
We have rented this house before, and knew that it is perfect for us to enjoy Alexandria Bay. Thank goodness for the A/C! Close to all the downtown activities, so we walked most places. Short walk to the river.
We were very happy with the house. It was a good location, quiet area, etc.
The owners were thorough, easy to work with, and left lots of good info.
Thank you, Rich and Carol.
Close to town, just over 3/4's of a mile to downtown ABay. Fantastic deck and backyard space. Watch for failing boards though. We put side tables over troublesome areas.
Short walk to water and Aqua Mania. Would definitely stay there again
Not only A-Bay rocks but so does the Rock House. We come every year for Rockin' the Bay and the Rock House has been our "go to" home away from home. Once in town, we rarely drive anywhere...downtown A-Bay is a short walk away and the marina where we rent our boat is only a few minutes from the house. We hope to be back again next year!
We enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely and the owners were friendly and quick to respond to our questions. The only thing we would say about this property is that it's really not for anyone who has mobility issues. The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep. There is a handrail on one side of the stairs, but, nothing much to grab onto on the other side. This is to be expected in a 130 year old house. Like I said, it's a beautiful place, just not handicapped friendly.
My wife and I were very pleased with the booking. It's located very close to town, but still far enough from the center of town to be quiet.Groceries, gas, and dining are less than 5 minutes away. The property itself was very nice and clean. The setting is very photogenic. We very much enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend the property.
This is our 3rd visit in 3 years to Alexandria Bay and it was the best! We rented a boat from a marina one block away and walked in town each night for dinner so we never really needed our vehicle. The house was very clean, great location and perfect for us!
We were in the area for 10 days and this was a great home for our stay! We were welcomed with a note from Carol and her husband and some local wine! Carol was easy to communicate with. It was close to the things we wanted to do, in a nice quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we needed. We had friends come for part of our stay, and had read previous reviews about the bedrooms. We took an air mattress, and they slept in the family room, which worked out fine. They had their own bathroom on the first floor. We would definitely stay here again!
The house and it's surroundings were beautiful. We were greeted by a welcome note and some wine. They had everything we needed and more. Would stay ahain
This was a perfect place to enjoy the Thousand Islands, and especially the Blues Festival in Alex Bay. So convenient to be able to walk to the venue at the Bay! The house was just right for the two of us. Enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, or on the sun porch. A unique and charming home with nice upgrades. Missed having a TV in the bedroom.

About the host
Hosted by Carol Granato
The Alexandria Bay (1000 Islands Region) gives us a little bit of everything that we enjoy as a couple. We are constantly outdoors, love to hike and enjoy fishing and boating. Our love of history and appreciation of nature is fulfilled by wandering around the 1000 Islands. As avid Jeepers, we love to go for a random drive and find truly unique locations to indulge our "Foodie" nature and sense of adventure.
Why they chose this property
This home and the area in which is stands was a dream of ours to own in. After going to this beautiful place for over 40 years and growing up spending time there with family and friends, we wanted to become a permanent resident part of the community.
What makes this property unique
When we pulled up in front of this home we realized before even going inside that this was going to be ours. We were sold on the truly unique and beautiful rock feature that towers above the back of the house. When entering inside the house we appreciated all of the attention to detail in maintaining the past while make sure all of the modern amenitities were there. It's location gives you the unique ability to participate in all of the towns events but also have the option to get away from it all in a quiet atmosphere.
