You will enjoy this UPSTAIRS charming knotty pine lakefront cottage with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath home on Big Barbee Lake! (Downstairs is storage) We have amenities that you will NOT find elsewhere, such as a fire pit overlooking the lake, a fish cleaning station with running water, a LARGE yard, and plenty of PARKING!

Big Barbee is a sport lake with access to six interconnecting lakes. Whether you enjoy skiing, tubing, fishing…Barbee chain has it all. Fishing is great right from your pier! Primary fish species: Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Blue Gill, Yellow Perch, Muskies, Channel Catfish and much more! Don’t have a boat?! Several area boat companies will deliver boat rentals to the public access ramp on nearby Kuhn Lake. Or bring your boat…we have lots of private pier space!
There is truly something for everyone. Spend your time swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing or relaxing around a lakefront fire pit. Keep calm and lake on at Hollan’s Hideaway!

Big Barbee lakehouse

The property is at a very good location. The new gazebo was very nice. Inside was stocked well in the kitchen and furniture was comfy. Only neg was the condition of the back porch, it needs some love.

Wonderful time with everything we needed!

The owners had everything prepared for us, including a binder with info on all the lakes and local menus. We were also able to use extra items like the water skis, knee board and lily pad. It made it so our stay had different activities. We definitely could have stayed another week!! And the variety of games provided inside were great on nights we didnt want to sit outside. We would definitely stay again without hesitation!!

Fast Get Away

I stayed in this fabulous relaxing lakehouse with my son, my daughter in law, and 2 grandchildren ages 2 and 5 yrs old. The cottage was very clean with excellent amenities. We cooked in the fully stocked kitchen, used the grill for hamburgers, hot dogs, and steaks and had family visiting us through out the week. We ate our meals at night on the upper deck patio which was very comfortable. The paddle boat, kyaks, fire pit, and private pier were a huge hit! We built a fire and roasted marshmallows several times which was a first for my grandbabies! We sat at the patio table by the pier to watch the boats, tubers, jet skiers, etc in the morning or afternoon Swimming off the pier, riding the paddleboat, and playing with all the outdoor games/balls was huge hit for the grandbabies! We played hide and seek at night and watched the fire flies which the little ones had never experienced before. Lots of yard room to run and play. Beds were super comfortable and lounging in the family room in the evenings with that big screen tv was awesome! The view of the lake every morning while sitting at that gorgeous dining room table with the kiddos was wonderful! The property manager was very prompt and responsive whenever I had a question to ask. There were lots of stairs up to the living area, so I got my workout everyday going up and down with my grandchildren which I loved! We loved, loved, loved, this lakehouse! It was perfect for my family and we will definitely rent again!

Truly relaxing

Had the kids for 2 days and it was just the 2 of us for the rest of the time. We got to really relax. Grilled, used the fire pit, went out on kayaks, fished, watched the sun set, played games... it was comfortable and clean. Thank you!

This was our 2nd year. Clean place everything you need. Great dock for pontoon . Fish cleaning place if you fish is very nice. Owner is quick to return any questions. Hope to return next year. There are lots of steps if your not good with them this would be the only draw back. We knew going in so this was ok for us. Hope to return next yr.

Was a great stay. Had one small issue no gas for grill. Called and responded right away. Took care of it first thing next day. Alot of steps but other than that we had everything you could want. Would be nice to have a few hooks in bedroom. Would rent again.

Best week ever. Nothing like waking up to coffee snd the lake. Excellent everything. Pier, paddle boat, kayaks, outdoor furniture and activities, shed, cute decor, WiFi, games, hose, easy parking and fantastic property owners. I wish I were still there.

Great communication to get the place booked. Arrived to a very clean, nicely stocked cottage. Forgot the bug spray, big mistake... spent a lot of time on the deck looking at the lake but mosquitos are ready at sundown. I knew better, won't forget next time. Overall great experience, would definitely book again.

Family friendly with plenty of parking spaces

This place has a lot of thoughtful additions for a comfortable stay. The lake house theme interior is beautiful and we slept really good on the beds and pillows. We had a bunch of kids over for a family get together and they had a blast with the kayaks and paddle boat while the adults had plenty of yard space and shade to sit in. We had awesome weather and beautiful sunsets the last week of August. The water at the property is not very deep, but that made it a lot safer for the kids to swim and play...We took our boat to Lake Sechrist to swim in deep water. We appreciate how helpful and thorough Jackie was before our stay so we could make our plans.

Very nice place , dock and facilities awesome . You have to walk threw the bedroom to get to the bathroom or go outside to the deck and enter from the outside entrance . not good if you have guest staying in the second bedroom. We would stay there again.

Why they chose this property

We previously rented this property and continued to rent in the area for 5 years. We LOVED the large yard and plentiful parking. Both of these can be hard to find with lake property.
