Feeling at ease in a family home

We are a group of female friends meeting once a year for a long weekend. This time it was particularly fun and nice thanks to the cozy family home we rented from Christian and his wife. Christian was the perfect host, always accommodating and helpful with tips. We had a great time and might come back one day with our families.

A lovely home with great facilities close to St Jean Gare and within walking distance to the centre.

We are three couples who really enjoyed our stay. Christian and Valerie were both there to greet us when we arrived. Their home was very stylish and comfortable with everything we needed. There is a lovely enclosed outside area which unfortunately we were not able to use due to the unseasonal weather. We looked forward to getting back to the house each evening after spending time in the city.

Spacious place with nice outdoor space

We were two families with teenage kids. The four bedrooms upstairs were perfect and the downstairs living room and kitchen area was spacious and nice. It was hot when we were there, so we enjoyed the outdoor space. Check-in and communication was easy and friendly. The only thing I had misunderstood was that cleaning was not included and that we were expected to clean. The location is perfect if you travel by train. We walked into the city center, it takes around 20 mins (depending on where you’re headed). There are bus and tram stops close by. I can warmly recommend this place.

Nice outdoor space.

It is close to the transit station, but a bit out of the way for shopping and night life. The house is cozy with a fantastic outdoor space. Without any fans in the summer, the heat was overwhelming. We actually left in the middle of our stay to find an air conditioned hotel. Out of 7 of us, nobody thought the beds were comfortable.

Great home and lovely neighborhood

We walked to the home from the train station and it was really easy to find. Christian was there when we arrived and was wonderful about explaining everything - and his English is great! We did have one member of our party who could speak French too, so that helped even more.We were very comfortable here and had everything we needed. We especially loved the garden where we sat outside with our breakfast (croissants from the local boulangerie!) each morning and other times with wine and cheese. It was so peaceful and comfortable.Rooms were comfortable and bathroom showers nice and powerful.The neighborhood was great. Out of the hustle and bustle but quick to get to the trains/trams and walking to the city was an option too. There's a big market very nearby that was really fun to walk through.This was our first time in Bordeaux and this accommodation helped make the visit fantastic.

So adorable!

This is possibly the cutest VRBO I have ever stayed in. It was so cute! It was actually decorated and not just plain and bare. Plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen, though we didn’t use much besides utensils and mugs. The little courtyard was adorable! Two of the bedrooms upstairs were connected by this little hallway with windows to the courtyard: adorable! It was just adorable everywhere! They do expect you to clean after yourselves when you are done, which is ok because we aren’t crazy messy people, but just don’t be surprised. The stairs and doorknobs are a little noisy. As in, the whole house knows if someone is going up or down the stairs. Aside from most stairs, it was so cute!!! And great location as well. 10 minute walk from the main train station.

Très beau logement

Logement bien situé, propre, calme et fonctionnel. Acceuil au top et procédure de sortie facile. A quelques centaines de mètres de la gare, tous les services (boulangerie, restauration, boucherie, cave,...) accessible à pied. Pas de difficulté pour garer la voiture dans la rue.

Mooi Bordeaux

Prima huis, heerlijk Frans ingericht en alles aanwezig. Goede keuken en sanitair en een buitenterras. Wij waren met zes vriendinnen tussen 72 en 80 jaar. Daarom was het jammer dat de winkels niet direct in de buurt waren. 10 min lopen van het treinstation. Vandaar alles met de tram. Goede en vriendelijke gastheer.

Hôte très disponible et sympathique, arrivée et départs bien gérés. Quartier calme mais proche commodités. Bus à 1 minute à pied qui mène au centre ville historique en 20 minutes ou Tram de la gare a 8 minutes à pied. Bon équipement général.

Séjour agreable dans cette maison de ville

Notre séjour sest tres bien déroulé, grâce a l'accueil de Christian et de sa fille. La maison est agréable pour 6-8 personnes, son emplacement calme. Il y a un peu de marche jusqu'au centre mais par rapport à la gare la maison n'est pas loin.

Gran casa pero descuidada

Muy bien ubicada, casa espaciosa y cómoda . La limpieza mínima, los accesorios para ella nulos o inservibles, las toallas para ducha tamaño secado manos. En la cama no había almadones, solo cogines inservibles ( casi sin relleno, con bolos, duros, etc....) sucios y con mal olor. Los pocos armarios que hay en algunas habitaciones llenos de ropa de cama, edredones, etc... es decir que la ropa la tienes que tener en la maleta.

A retenir pour y revenir !

Hôtes avenants et attentionnés. Charmante propriété, bien tenue, située dans un quartier calme, à proximité de la gare et des transports en commun. C'est l'emplacement idéal pour se déplacer aisément dans la ville y compris à pied.
