Perfect Little Cottage

Holland, Michigan has long been a vacation paradise for tourists and vacationers alike, filled with history and attractions. Lake Michigan for beach and boating.No end of things to do in winter and summer.
'The Little Cottage' has been completely remodeled. and includes all new appliances and furniture.

It is a perfect spot to relax or use as a retreat when you get back from a day at the beach, boating, golf, snow skiing, or snow mobile riding. It is cool in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter.

The wall of windows in the Great Room has a wonderful view of Lake Macatawa. (Lake access just down the road) Front deck for morning coffee or a cool drink at sunset. Side deck with grill and a table for six for outdoor meals.

There are two bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the great room.Washer and dryer. Bikes in the shed for use on the bike trails close by.

We have added a new washer and dryer in 2022
We have a new hot water heater 2022

Great Neighborhood

Nice place for Two People. Was close to the beaches and Use of Bicycles made getting around easy. Full Kitchen and Small Bedroom and Shower was just right for the two of us.Access to the Property was very easy with on site parking.

It was a very cute house and we did enjoy our stay, however I would have liked to know in the listing that there was only two cars allowed on the lot. I didn't find this out until I got the email the week of and iwe had to figure out what to do with our third car while there. I also thought we had 4 twins instead of just two as they listed 2 convertable twin beds, but you dont find out its the two in the second bedroom until you get an email the week of. Then the lake view isn't what I thought it was going to be as it was blocked by the houses across the street, it was a very limited sight and I don't know if I would neccacarily say it was lake view propetrty. I did overall enjoy the propery, just somethings that I wish were listed or listed differently

Quaint cozy cottage

Really enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage with a slight view of Lake Mac! We loved the location near the big lake away from the hustle and bustle.

Weekend getaway

Cute little cottage in a wonderful neighborhood. Close to town, water and all activities. House was clean and decorated nicely. Only issue was the shower was very small. All else was great!

Magical Little Cottage by Holland State Park

We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet little cottage. Had plenty of room and amenities to keep our family of 4 comfortable and relaxed. Just a short drive down to Holland state park. You can see the water from the front porch. Had a grill and outside seating area. Bright sunny front room to relax in.

Cozy Cottage with a View

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cottage located just minutes away from Holland State Park. In addition to its close proximity to the Park, the cottage also boasts an inviting front porch with views of Lake Macatawa. While the cottage is smaller, it has all of the amenities and comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room with views of the lake. The bedrooms are comfortable and overall the home is well- equipped. An added bonus is access to the bicycles in the shed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and you will too!

Not great option for small children.

I think my children are traumatized by the shower here. I've bathed my kids in showers before, not ideal but it's possible. In a 2'x2' shower is less than ideal... But this shower, being so small and the hot wate heater must be on the way out because it will get Ice cold randomly and then take a long time to heat back up... Once it gets warm it's quick to turn to firey hot. When you're trying to wash an infant under the water this is not great. I'm not sure if it's just going out or just how it normally is since the sign in the Bathroom says "if the hot water is Cold wait awhile". Great location/neighborhood. Neighbor across the street offered to let us go to their beachfront whenever. Master bedroom not big enough for a pack n play, had to move the bed which was made difficult by the built in night stands. Mattress soft, pillows terrible, make sure to bring your own.

Nice, cozy house in a great location.

We communicated with Gloria and Marty several times through the website and they were very helpful. The house was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed it very much. The location is great… the bike ride to the beach is 15 minutes. The neighbors were friendly. The neighborhood is quiet and scenic. There are several parks nearby. Holland is a very nice town and there was always something to keep us busy. South Haven and Saugatuck are a short drive to the south. Grand Haven is a bit further to the north. Grand Rapids is east. We were very fortunate that the weather was perfect for 9 of the 10 days. Complaints are minimal… Check in should have been smoother. Upon arrival, we had no instructions, there was no one there to greet us and we had to wait nearly 1/2 hour to get the code for the front door. We wish the television in the living room was larger - it is in fact quite small for the space. (We did not watch much TV, but in the evenings it is nice to relax with a movie.) Other reviewers have complained about the tiny shower but honestly, it is clean and there is plenty of hot water so it is not a deal breaker. Overall, we had a great time, we would recommend this property, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

Loved the bicycles available to be able to take quick trips to the beaches. Location has really nice paths and and the proximity to the beach. Neighbors were great and welcoming allowed access their private lake views.

Super cute little cottage!!!

This should be listed as a two bedroom only cottage. It only has two bedrooms with two smaller beds and one bathroom with just a shower stall. With all of that being said… It was still a lovely little place and it worked great this weekend.
