This accommodation can cater for 6 - 8 guests close to the river and nature reserve, secured parking, barbecue area and dog secure garden, boat hire, wide screen TVs, DVD, bath and 2 en suite shower rooms, bed linen, towels, heating included in price, close to local shops, pubs, bus routes. Ideal two families sharing or short breaks for 2- 8 people in one apartment. Four bedrooms in total two doubles and two twin bedded, Discounts for longer stays and the use of less bedrooms for smaller groups .2 Small/Med dogs welcome. 10 min drive into Bath centre with the famous Roman baths and Royal crescent.
Excellent local facilities and transport links into the centre.

Three of the bedrooms overlook the garden, and are comfortably furnished, fully carpeted with fitted wardrobes and portable TV/Videos in two of the bedrooms.
There are two en suite shower rooms and two other bedrooms that share a large bathroom with bath and shower. The rooms are painted in soothing blues and pale greens. The second and third bedroom has two single divans.
All bedrooms are equipped with hair dryers and a supply of magazines and books.All beds are equipped with goosedown duvets and high quality bedlinen.
The main bathroom has a large corner bath with over head shower and a hand shower on the taps. Most of the floor and wall area is tiled and the work surfaces are marble. The en suite shower rooms are also tiled with marble surrounds, heated towel rails, shaver sockets. All bathrooms are supplied with large bath towels and hand towels for each occupant.

The dining area sits 8 people comfortably and table mats and cloths are provided. Balcony with seating overlooking the garden.

The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and all everyday essentials.

Parking in the secure forecourt with automated entry system, additional parking at the rear off a private driveway.

In house catering can be arranged for larger parties. Beauty treatments and pampering sessions available by arrangement. There is boat trips available nearby.

We were very happy with everything that the house provided, there is a lovely private garden. It is very near a handy bus stop, which we used everyday. We were in the city centre within 20 mins. Sheila was very helpful and I would recommend this very comfortable house to friends.

Great base for attending graduation

A lovely big property with lots of space inside and out for dining and relaxing. Flexible bedroom accommodation made it an ideal base for attending graduation at Bath Abbey given we were not sure who would be able to join us when initially booking.A small issue with getting the oven working was quickly resolved.

Great location

An ideal place for a reunion of old school friends - walks from the property and an easy journey into Bath. A well equipped kitchen, space for sitting out if the weather is warm enough and comfortable bedrooms. A very friendly host, making communication for arrival and departure easy. We had a great weekend!

Lovely weekend Stay

We had a lovely weekend at Shelia's, the property is very homely and spacious, with lots of space upstairs for a group. It was nice to have such good sized bedrooms. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening. The area is of Batheaston is beautiful, close enough to Bath but away from all the hustle of Bath centre. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely return.

This place is amazing. Everything from the welcome gifts, to the house itself was brilliant. My stay was the first week in August, the weather was good and we enjoyed the whole house, breakfasts and games nights at the huge table. Chatting around the patio table as we fired up the barbecue, watching dvds before bed. I hope to be back one day. I co fess to scrumping some plums from the plum tree.

Great stay in Bath!

Wonderful property for a family reunion that was close to multiple bus stops which made it so easy to get in and out of Bath! Ideal for larger groups and off street parking was a bonus!

The house is very large and perfectly situated for exploring Bath and its surroundings. It’s very well equipped and Sheila was a lovely host, who even supplied us with tea scones and wine for our arrival.

Our welcome basket was nice, the house was spacious and beds comfortable. We spoke to our host and there was lots of information about the house.We didn't know how well used the road was or tight it was getting into the parking area. In the end, we parked on the road because it was easier.Recycling instructions were interesting, especially when it came defining a meat container. That could be worded a little better perhaps.Heating was an issue for the older guest and we know it was on but couldn't seem to increase the temperature. But, to be fair that was a personal preference issue.

Lovely accommodation close to Bath

The property was perfect for the 8 of us to stay comfortably, and the big garden was a bonus! It was a quick 10 minutes into the centre of Bath - thanks to Sheila for a wonderful stay.

Lovely property stunning views of the river avon and gardens. Location fab near bath and bradford upon avon.owners very welcoming and property beautifully decorated and equipped with everything needed for few days stay. Will be staying again!

Great holiday accommodation

A very comfortable but extremely well appointed and spacious holiday venue. Ideally placed for Bath, lovely meadow walks, and excellent eating venues within walking distance. Hosts very friendly and informative. Do not miss the opportunity to stay here.

We came for a wedding but had time to chill out in the lovely garden and eat the lovely scones, cream and jam left for us Would of used the jacuzzi if we had time Definitely should of booked for longer, village lovely

Delightful property

Comfortable bedrooms and lounge, large secure garden with table, chairs and large parasol, our dog and a great time racing after a ball as well. Lots of lovely walks and bus stops nearby for the short ride into Bath to see the sights and visit the historical buildings

A few small maintenance issues. Leaking tap and toilet difficult to flush in one en suite. toilet flush in main bathroom was a bit difficult too. Damp smell from basement was strong when it rained. some cobwebs. and the bricks outside the back door made walking a bit tricky for us as we are all over 50. overall enjoyed our stay though as place was roomy even with 7 of us on residence. oh and the batteries need changing in all the remotes.

Highly recommend

First impressions from our group was: "Oh wow this is beautiful and so spacious!" We all agreed it really is a wonderful place to stay, with a home from home feel! The Garden is just as lovely with plenty of seating area and a lovely sun trap too! The welcome hamper was very thoughtful and much appreciated by all! If ever we were to come to Bath again, we wouldn't hesitate to book avondale! We loved it there and felt sad when we left. Thank you Sheila for everything! Thank you Sheila for opening yourus all.

A friends’ reunion in Bath

The size, location and character of this property gave us the opportunity to enjoy our reunion in comfortable surroundings. Bus access to see the sights of Bath is very easy. There is a lovely stroll into town (takes about an hour) along the canal. We found the owner to be very helpful…..she answered our questions and dealt with any concerns immediately. A very pleasant stay!!
