About this property
Private Beautiful brand new self contained garden studio
The garden studio is newly renovated and completely self contained located at the bottom of the host's garden. There is a garden gate so you can come and go as you like. It has all you need for a relaxing visit. There is a double bed. The kitchen is ideal for making tea, coffee, breakfast, heating ready made meals, etc with a micro wave oven, fridge, oven and single ring ceramic hob. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. We supply all the bedding, towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, iron, ironing board, hair drier. We have cable TV for great movies and mini series.
Streatham is about 6 miles from the center of London. It is conveniently reached by 2 train stations; Streatham Hill less than a 10 minute walk and Streatham within a 5 minute walk. Streatham Hill links to the Northern Line underground Station Balham which is 1 stop on the train away. There are also numerous buses on the busy High Street with a stop 3 minutes away. Buses can be caught to Brixton easily which is on the Victoria underground Line.
Being so close to the High Street we have an excellent collection of shops and restaurants. There is a supermarket 2 minutes away as is a good pub for traditional English food. There is also a library, cinema, post office, launderette all less than 5 minutes away. There is Tooting Bec Common (park) on the other end of our road where lots of families go and play and walk their dogs enjoying a little green oasis in London. It contains the largest outdoor public swimming pool in Europe and there are also public tennis courts.
We had the Imperial War Museum a short bus ride away and the vibrant Southbank with the London Eye and the Tate Modern museum a little further on from the war museum.
If you wish to go to Wimbledon Tennis in the summer there is a direct train route from Streatham Station to Wimbledon Train Station.
There is an excellent bus route from the High Street into the Center. The number 159 which goes to the Imperial War Museum, then onto Parliament Square with the House of Parliament and Big Ben located there. It then goes onto Trafalgar Square where Nelsons Column is and which is also very close to Leicester Square. From here it goes to Piccadilly Circus and then down Oxford Street the main shopping Street of the Capital all the way to Marble Arch. So an excellent sightseeing route into London at a bus stop 3 minutes away.
