The village of Aspra offers its visitors a fish market, supermarket, restaurants, bars, shops and the particular "Museum of the Anchovy". The city of Bagheria is located about 2 km from Aspra and is named "City of the Villas" for its famous eighteenth-century villas. In one of these, Villa Cattolica, you can visit "Guttuso Museum", with many works by the artist Renato Guttuso born in Bagheria. Other villas that can be visited in Bagheria are: Palazzo Butera, Villa Cutò and the famous 'Villa dei Mostri', Villa Palagonia.
Palermo is just 10 km away from the Villa and is easily reachable even by a frequent surface subway. From Bagheria railwaystation it takes only 10 minutes to reach the central station of Palermo from where the center of the city is easily reachable on foot.
