Celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary in this paradise was a dream. The small casita is perfect for a couple who is looking to get away in a remote quiet area. We kayaked and paddle boarded every day a few times a day. It truly was a dream to be so remote and have so much space to ourselves. We did however go during one of the hottest months of the year, and the heat can get pretty insane.
It was great having our own beach with fire pit and hot springs. Good location for restaurants. High tide was early morning so worked well for the mangroves and to get off the water before the wind started.
The owner is quick to respond to communication and provided a wealth of information regarding activities in the area. It’s nice to have kayaks and other water toys to use. The private beach was a definite plus and the sunrises were unbelievable. The studio was satisfactory with sufficient space for a couple. There is no separate bedroom and a curtain separated the bathroom from the living space. If you like a hard mattress, you’ll sleep well. What was not disclosed honestly was the hot tub situation. When I filtered properties, I looked only at properties with hot tubs. Because he selected hot tub as an amenity, his property showed up as an option. The property DOES NOT IN FACT, HAVE A HOT TUB. What is available is a tide-reliant natural hot spring at the beach. You have to time your soaking time around high tide or there is no water coming from the spring to mix with the cooler sea water. If you’re lucky, high tide occurs once (maybe twice) during normal waking hours. Many high tides occur in the middle of the night. If you are willing to plan your day/sleep around high tide, and you time it just right, you can enjoy a soak. I find it unfair to reveal the hot spring in the description yet indicate there is a hot tub amenity. Those are definitely two different things. In a four night stay, I soaked up to my calves in warm water, because I never figured it out. There are 77 steps from the beach to the Casita and 86 steps from your parking spot to the Casita. BUYER BEWARE!
Pros: Location, view, and beach access. Cons: Lack of AC (especially during summer heat). The solar power/generator setup is inefficient and has unclear instructions on how it operates. As a guest, you are expected to handle switching between solar and generator power, which was not explained clearly. The first night, we were not met at home by the manager to explain setup and ended up having to figure it out on our own (in weather upwards of 100 degrees Fahrenheit). I would warn other guest to make sure they are aware of this and make sure you ask about the setup and how to deal with switching, how long the generator lasts, and make sure you are informed when the gas will be delivered. Unfortunately, this issue made our experience stressful. We left the home two days early, and the owners worked with us to come to an agreement, which was a plus. Be warned about the high summer temperatures (dessert) and lack of AC, it is difficult to adapt to and enjoy the home even with the beach which had warm water due to hot springs.

This is a great reminder that Baja is hot in the summer and we are very up front about the heat and that the region is off the grid, so no AC, Yes even locals come and think they can handle the heat, and they cant, so please book in the winter Oct -May all other months can be very hot and then we get blamed for the temp. Its sad when a group cant read the details about a facility then wants to blame you for everything because the region to so hot--Welcome to Baja--
We really do have the best views and a private beach and the most free toys any where, but winter is the time to best be here.

We are water NUTS and love everything to do with water. in 2023 we drove all of Baja with a young family looking for the perfect safe area to buy a home on the water. 8 years later we got it Casa De Los Suenos, on the Bay of Conception facing due East with the best view in Mexico. The water sports are unlimited the fishing and game taking is unbelievable. Safe fun locals, great little funky restaurants, off grid.... It is a dream come true that we get you share with you. Enjoy yor stay there are few place like this in the world. The McGuire family
