Wine & History in Montalcino- Stay in an ancient mill
A very particular villa! You will stay in a mill built in 1200 rebuilt and adapted with the intent to create a house with all modern comforts, inserted respecting the structure: you will find the original stone walls with ancient inscriptions, antique furniture in the interior, the stream that once fed the wooden blades and the ancient medieval bridge in the garden. Inside the villa, on two floors with a turret, a beautiful kitchen (equipped with oven and fridge, dryer and dishwasher), 3 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, 3 bathrooms and two living rooms with fireplace. In the beautiful garden, patio with table and chairs and barbecue. You will relive the spaces and the magic of a historic house, protected by the imposing Abbey of Sant'Antimo, an important 12th century Romanesque church, just 500 meters from the mill and which dominates us from above. The structure is immersed in a woodland of about 4 hectares which can be reached via a dirt road, far from noise, traffic and curious glances. It is accessed via a dirt road that can be traveled with normal cars (pay attention)

We spent a relaxing 6 nights here as we explored the area and wineries. We didn't have warm enough weather to enjoy the pool, but it looked really nice. Our hosts were very accessible and responded quickly when needed. You need a vehicle that can drive over the unpaved rough road to get down to the villa. It is in a nice private location.
