Dream location - fabulous views across the sea to mountains and distant Corsica with wonderful sunsets! Direct access to the sea from patio and completely private garden. On headland between two lovely family beaches. Two large bedrooms, each with own built-in wardrobe and shower room/WC + bidet in one bathroom.
Large living room with separate kitchen area; feature wood burning stove; folding doors to large shady terrace, leading out to extensive patio and gardens. Outside barbecue. Additional outdoor shower. Private drive and garage. Set in 3000 square metres of land. Peace, tranquility and complete privacy.

Five minutes' drive to beautiful hill town of Capoliveri, its vibrant restaurants, shops and evening ambiance. 10 minutes drive to charming seaside town of Porto Azzurro, and 20 minutes to Portoferraio and the ferry.

Lots of activities within easy distance - water sports, hill walking, mountain biking, music festivals, Napoleonic and Medici historical sites.

60 € payable for cleaning at end of stay. Laundry available at 15€ per head, also payable during stay.

Hidden Gem!

We had a fantastic holiday in this beautiful house. Especially the view from the terrace was incredible surrounded by blooming hibiscus and oleander. Everthing was very relaxing and so calm!

Time out in Capoliveri

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in der Casa Mackerras. Das Haus liegt spektakulär auf einer Landzunge zwischen zwei Stränden und hat ein großzügiges Außengelände, von dem aus wir sehr schöne Sonnenuntergänge sehen konnten, da wir großes Glück mit dem Wetter hatten.

A simple nice house on a superb location

Direct access to the sea and 180 degrees sea view make this location perfect. Two sandy beaches in 3 minutes walking and our own private rocky beach.

A special place

We had really a great time at the house. The rocks on the sea so close and the sunsets were wonderfull. We will come back next year, hopefully.

Little paradise

The location was absolutely stunning! What a fabulous view, it was really a little paradise! The house is not luxurious but really nice and we enjoyed the garden/terrace with the spectaculair view of the sea (much nicer then on the photos). We also liked the two beaches just some minutes away.

La "location" è veramente bellissima, con una vista incantevole. La casa potrebbe essere ammodernata e il giardino un po' più curato... ma il contesto è comunque molto bello e rilassante. Siamo stati bene.

posto incantevole

Il posto incantevole è la caratteristica più importante di questa casa. Concordo con tutte le recensioni precedenti tranne quella sul giardino, in un ambiente mediterraneo non puoi avere un giardino "all'inglese", specialmente d'estate, quindi per me va benissimo così. C'è tanto spazio comodo all'aperto, intorno alla casa, tranquilla e isolata. Le due spiaggette vicine sono belle, forse un po' affollate di giorno ma verso sera soprattutto Barabarca è molto suggestiva e godibilissima. A pochi minuti di auto da Capoliveri e Porto Azzurro. Ottima vacanza

Il valore aggiunto di questa abitazione è che è stata costruita e abitata per circa 40 anni da un famoso direttore d'orchestra australiano. Anche se si nota il peso degli anni, la casa è in una posizione invidiabile, con garage, giardino e pineta privati. Una ventina di gradini portano al mare, sugli scogli. 2 spiaggie a dx e sin, raggiungibili in 5 minuti. Vista suggestiva sul mare. Privacy e quiete in una natura incontaminata. Speriamo di tornare.

Maison avec vue magnifique

Nous avons séjourné 10 jours dans maison à la vue imprenable. Tout était parfait pour nous et nos 2 enfants et notre chien. Situé proche de beaux villages, et facile pour sillonner l'île. L'accès direct à la plage( rochers) pour la pêche et la lecture super et les 2 places de sables juste à côté à pieds en 2 min Les draps et les serviettes sont fournis et Cathy nous en avait laissé en plus. Juste très humide, difficile de faire sécher les serviettes mais on est au bord de la mer ! Un merveilleux séjour! Merci

Ferien in der Villa Mackerras

Die Lage dieses Hauses ist einmalig und wunderschön. Perfekt zum schnorcheln, ist das Meer über einen privaten Weg schnell erreichbar. Das Haus bietet genug Platz für 5 Personen und ist mit allem ausgestattet was es braucht zum kochen. Die Grillstelle auf dem Sitzplatz ist auch ein Highlight. Wir haben die Ferien sehr genossen, Sascha und Familie im Juli 2019

Von der Küche ins Meer in einer Minute! ! Super Lage und tolles Ambiente! Trotz des Alters ist das Haus in einem guten Zustand. Der Urlaub war ein tolles Erlebnis!

Vista mozzafiato

Vista mare fantastica, assoluta tranquillità, Capoliveri a 5 minuti di auto. Casa ben attrezzata, comoda doccia esterna, forse andrebbe curato un po' di più il giardino esterno, ma nel complesso giudizio positivo.

This house belonged to my parents - I have been going to Elba since my teens. There are always new things to discover on the island although the timeless beauty never changes.

What makes this property unique

The view from the terrace is simply beautiful - as it is west facing, the sunsets are fabulous. Swimming off the rocks is 2 minutes away - near enough for a quick dip several times a day!
