Casa Rodriguez (eastcapevilla*com) offers everything! This beachfront luxury estate was created in 2008 on the Sea of Cortez. We built it because of our love for fishing! The Sea of Cortez is an aquarium, and we have a property on it's most pristine golden sandy beaches!

Casa Rodriguez offers a pristine sandy beach, swimmable clear blue water, infinity pool, Jacuzzi, three large palapas, swim up bar, and extensive outdoor seating and dining areas. The estate features dramatically open living spaces with spectacular views of the living sea. The Casa has abundant activities and private relaxation all combined at one truly beautiful and un-touched location. Located in the heart of the quiet seaside village, El Cardonal, the next "big little" town (Los Barriles) is about a 20 minute drive.

Casa Rodriguez offers an accommodating concierge and English speaking staff.

-Samuel is our english speaking concierge who will meet you upon arrival and welcome you to Casa Rodriguez.
-Vicente is our onsite caretaker and boat captain. He is also a local legend. We love to go fishing or eco-touring with him! Full day is $400 per boat, half day is $300 per boat, per day for a day of fishing.
-Lupita, Vicente's daughter, provides the Casa's daily maid service and daily dish washing.
- Our recommended van service is operated by Homar. He provides van service for up to ten people and baggage to/from the airport for a very competitive rate of $300 round trip. He also can take you on a variety of excursions throughout the East Cape area.
- We have a variety of local authentic catering recommendations. All of them can be arranged through our concierge, Samuel. Authentic Mexican breakfast, lunch and traditional dinners, as well as “lunch boxes” for a day out at sea are available. The cost is approximately $16-18 per person, per meal including the cost of food. We do not allow local chefs to prepare food in our home. All food must be prepared and cooked at restaurant and brought to Casa Rodriguez for serving. Mariachi entertainment can also be arranged upon request.

The Casa provides tons of toys and games for indoor and outdoor adult/children play. We also have paddle boards, kayaks, beach toys/games, masks, snorkels and fins in a variety of sizes. The water is often calm, even safe for children and there is often abundant sea life. Chase whales in the Spring. There is a living reef a short walk down the beach where the snorkeling is excellent. We have kayaked amongst thousands of manta rays.

We loved the nice bedrooms with baths. We used the SUP and kayaks every day. The pool was great but would have liked complementary hot tub! Good selection of pot’s and pans but Left over containers are very worn. If we come back we will come here again!

A VERY Special Place

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Just magnificently appointed, great pool, beach, rooms, kitchen, staff, great places to eat nearby, easy transportation, great fishing.We only had a couple minor issues that got pretty much fixed. The heater went out on the pool, and we lost a couple of days of pool heat. there were a couple cleaning issues, but Samuel took care of that right away.

What a special place

All I can say is “Wow.” We had an absolutely incredible time. Our family of 15 just loved this property. The pool sitting right off the beach was over the top beautiful and serene. Like others have said…the whole place is even better than the pics show. There are SUPs, kayaks and snorkel equipment which were added bonuses. We loved watching the rays jumping in the sea and grilling our pounds of fish each night outside. Vicente was such an awesome boat captain. We fished 2 of our 4 days but will add more days next time because it was epic! Lupita did a great job with the house cleaning. We really enjoyed getting to know them both. We used Homar, who they recommend, to get us to and from the airport and he was very reliable. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. We are already planning our next stay!

Family vacation

We had a fabulous time at casa rodriguez!!! It was my husband’s 60th birthday celebration…we had 4 adult daughters with husbands and 4 grandchildren 7,5,3,1…INCREDIBLE FISHING!!! Vicente is amazing and so is his ceviche! Adriana catered 2 delicious Mexican buffet dinners…we hope to be back next year!

Early Christmas

We had a lovely stay with 14 of us. Family reunion before Christmas! The house is amazing plenty of space and amenities to keep everyone happy. We opted to heat the pool and hot tub and it was fabulous for the young kids as it was very windy the week we stayed, ocean swimming wasn’t an option. The location is remote but worth it for the ability to unplug and just be with your loved ones! We loved Andrea’s she catered In multiple times for us and the pizza place was also a huge hit for a casual night under the stars with games and good food! Thanks for having us!!!

The Best

Our family of 10 (6 adults + 4 children, ages 7-11) celebrated my husband and my 50th wedding anniversary. We loved the house (including Vicente!), the nearby restaurants, the area, and the activities, which for us included swimming, paddle boards, fishing, renting ATVs, and walking to nearby restaurants. Samuel, Vicente, Lupita, and Homar were immensely helpful in making our visit a 10+.

Fantastic family getaway

The property is amazing! Excellent location at edge of a tiny, walkable fishing village. Everyone we met was incredibly kind and helpful. The house is WAY nicer than the pictures suggest and we felt VERY comfortable - plenty of space for 3 teens and 7 adults! The home is situated ideally on a quiet beach with comfortable lounge chairs, shaded and sunny areas. We really enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards. Kitchen setup was terrific for 3 teens and 7 adults, and we got catering brought in a few times (all easy and excellent). Also enjoyed Restaurante El Cheff! There is an extra fridge and freezer in the garage. Supplies are well-stocked. We loved the 4 comparable master suites, plus an ensuite (and another room plus hall bath). Loved the balconies for quiet time. We enjoyed excellent, easy fishing with Vicente, and Lupita kept the house tidy. We would DEFINITELY rent this again and hope to do so, soon!

Truly enjoyed our stay. Pool, Beach and plenty of room for our group of 10. One bedroom went unused! The Casa is more impressive than the pictures on VRBO or the welcome material received after booking. We found the catered meals by Adrian's were timely, Delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately we discovered Dona's restaurant on our last days there and would have loved to more opportunity to utilize her kitchen for catering. Vicente is welcoming, knowledgeable and very helpful. If we choose to return to this area we would defiantly choose Casa Rodriguez!

Great stay at Casa Rodriguez

This was a great spot for three families with young children. The house is great. Really spacious and in wonderful condition. We were happy that there were 4 full en-suite “masters”, which made figuring out how to split bedrooms really easy. The pool and beach situation can’t be beat. Great that the property has kayaks and paddle boards available. Vicente (caretaker and fishing guide) was awesome. We loved eating our fresh catch. Made ceviche and grilled fillets for dinner! Samuel (concierge) was really responsive and helpful.

Most amazing house ever!

This was our second time staying at Casa Rodriguez and we will be going back every year! Everything about the stay and the house and the people were to perfection!! The nearby restaurants were so great too. I would recommend getting the atv to have at the house to drive to the restaurants and grocery store. Very handy. Vicente is AH-MAZ-ING and Samuel is forever on the spot with any question you have. I can’t say enough good things. Thank you Casa Rodriguez for another great stay! See you next year!

Absolutely relaxing...

Very nice and large home. It was cleaned every day including the dishes. Very private, amazing sunrises and sunsets. There are three restaurants close which all have great food. I would recommend fishing as we caught alot and Vicente the caretaker/ fishing captain made us sashimi as soon as we returned, really delicious. We had the rest of the fish cooked at a local restaurant for dinner. The water on calm days is very clear and great for kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkeling which all are provided. Our family had a wonderful time.

Amazing Escape For Our Family

Every year we do a large family vacation. This year we chose Casa Rodriguez and we couldn't of been happier. We all talked about how we would like to return. Food by Adriana was delicious, fishing and laughs by Vicente were memorable, endless days of sun on the beach and by the infinity pool couldn't of been more relaxing. Talk about a place to just get away from it all. The house was also stocked to the gills with anything and everything you could possibly need. Highly recommended. Thanks for the experience!

Perfect R & R

The property is beautiful, exactly as pictured. All the appointments are first class. We used the La Dona team for caring and every meal was a surprise and a delight!We had a slight problem with the Jacuzzi and pool heater but Vincente and Samuel worked religiously to get it repaired. Vincenete is the supreme Captain and fishing guide and we were thrilled with our catches of Yellow and Blue Fin Tuna, Grouper,Red Snapper, Trigger Fish and Needle Fish. We had fresh caught oyster for dinner. Vincent and the girls did a fabulous job with the fresh fish. They were al around pros! Lupita kept the house shining for us every day, even folding our laundry and freshening up our rooms. We had an absolutely amazing time. The location and the beach are simply exquisite. We came to relax and unwind and that exactly what we didIt was fabulous and we look forward to another visit. We saw schools of literally thousands of rays, saw several whales and felt as if we'd been whisked away to paradise.

Hands down the best!

This is our 3rd time staying and it never disappoints! Everything is absolutely perfect! If you have an infant or elderly traveling with you, this is the perfect place! I have never felt more safe in a location or vacation home ever. The staff is perfection and there to help at a drop of a hat! I have nothing but good things to say about Casa Rodriguez and the staff! The town itself is tiny and so welcoming! Everyone is so nice! I will elaborate on how safe this town is too. I have never felt uncomfortable or unsafe, day or night. The local bar and the owner is phenomenal! The local restaurants (all of them) are so efficient, kind, and so tasty! We will for sure be back next year for another wonderful vacation.

From the palapa shaded swim-up bar stretching out to the infinity pool, the azure blue waters seem to touch the open sea only a short distance away. The entire home opens up to wide terraces and private balconies with unending views of Picasso skylines. The onsite staff and daily housekeeping ensure your stay is effortless relaxation.

With a private beach entrance, you can lounge on powdery sands and snorkel directly in front of the house, or to get a little sun and a stretching view of the shoreline, take out one of the sea kayaks for an early morning paddle. For further exploration, you can charter the Casa Rodriguez fishing boat and head out to open waters for some deep swimming and big game fishing.

With so many amazing comforts and amenities on site, you may not wish to leave, but there is much to explore only a short distance away. A quick walk down the beach will lead you to a living reef filled with brightly colored tropical sea life. For tours and entertainment, ask a member of the house to arrange an outing for you or the entire group. You can always play all day and return to soak away the excitement in one of the Jacuzzi tubs.

El Cardonal on the east coast of the Baja is not where you go to have just another Mexican beach vacation. This is where you come when you want perfection. Casa Rodriguez delivers nothing less, sitting directly on flaxen sands overlooking the pristine Sea of Cortez. Everything around you is nature’s optimum in tranquility, and this home was designed with that in mind. Embracing modern amenities and luxury comfort, the property still maintains a harmonious balance with the nature around it. An Infinity pool looks over the clear blue waters of the sea with an adjacent palapa housing a swim up bar, BBQ and providing soft shade.

Casa Rodriguez was crafted to bring the outer beauty in with sliding glass doors that can be pushed aside to open the entire front of the house. Each bedroom also has glass double doors that open up to a large second floor terrace with sweeping views of painted sky touching the mountains in the distance. All details have been considered including four master suite bedrooms and two other bedroom suites to offer families and groups privacy and space to relax.
