Come and explore Suffolk and the coast, and being almost on the border with Norfolk, you can easily explore two counties in one holiday!. All on the Ground Floor:

Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There are 5 steps to the garden.. Situated on the cliffs above Corton beach, Ocean Retreat Lodge is a stunning detached lodge for those looking to escape it all and head to the coast. With floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors opening out onto your private wrap-around veranda, Ocean Retreat Lodge has 180° uninterrupted views of the sea, right on your doorstep.

Inside, the calming décor and open-plan living space is ideal for those looking to recharge and unwind. The owners have also provided a hairdryer, USB charging points and an extension lead for additional convenience and comfort.

Ocean Retreat Lodge can be found in a private development in the village of Corton, near Lowestoft, in Suffolk. It is the most easterly point in the UK and offers award-winning beaches, and breathtaking sunrises and is the perfect location from which to explore all this area has to offer.

Oulton Broad is a short drive away, the southern gateway to the Norfolk Broads National Park. Surrounded by restaurants and pubs, it is an excellent location for nightlife and al fresco dining. With two piers in Lowestoft, classic arcade games and traditional fish and chips, you can enjoy the British seaside experience. Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

We had a wonderful time. Ocean Glade is the most elegant holiday home I've ever stayed in, the decoration is all in muted natural tones which reflects the environment. The views of the sea sunrises through the windows are gorgeous, like looking at pictures and made us very contented. The owner very kindly added extra Christmas touches (as we were there that week), like some decorations and the TV listings mag which was very considerate as well as a terrific welcome hamper. It is properly dog friendly, and you can tell the owner is also someone with dogs in the family! It does this without being shabby or feeling in anyway uncomfortable. The heating works well and the TV is good quality too! Silly thing but with long, dark cold evenings that's actually very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful lodge, in a tranquil setting.

Beautiful lodge, in a tranquil setting. Fantastic views, nearby beach which is brilliant if you have a dog or fancy a stroll listening to the sound of the waves. Ocean retreat lodge sits in woodland which you walk through to access the beach. Complete rest away from the rat race, hope to go back very soon.

Beautiful place, lovely location the lodge was amazing attention to detail but the beds were very uncomfortable mattress toppers curved round to side so kept slipping out of bed and mattress was uncomfortable for both my husband and I and my friend and her husband if they invested in a memory foam topper that fitted that would of been much more comfortable

We had a great 3 days at Ocean Retreat - the lodge is beautiful, well located and tastefully appointed. The process for access on our first day worked well and we were treated to a lovely welcome basket of essential supplies and treats. Being able to sit out at meal times overlooking the sea was lovely. A very restful place. We were fortunate to meet the owners, Tracy and John, who were working on a second lodge at the resort; their hospitality was lovely and very welcome. Their second lodge looks as beautiful and we hope to return someday to try it out.
