About this property

The Terrace at West House is a fabulous first floor apartment styled by Bo Concept with a large sumptuous bedroom and a wonderful open plan kitchen-living area opening on to a roof terrace, perfect for relaxing and enjoying an evening tipple. A super stylish retreat to unwind in after a day's exploring Canterbury and further afield.

Thoughtful touches including a locally sourced welcome hamper, Egyptian cotton towels, luxurious linens, an oversized shower, carefully sourced toiletries and underfloor heating. Well equipped kitchen with Siemens appliances including a combination oven - microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and a Samsung washer dryer.

The living area Free WiFi, Smart TV with integral DVD, Bluetooth speaker. A small section of DVD's, books and games are provided if you simply want to kick back and relax.

The Loft at West House is located in the vibrant St Dunstans area of Canterbury, where you can enjoy one of the nearby eateries, sample local produce in the unique Goods Shed Farmers market, or take a 10 minute stroll in to the city centre following in the pilgrims footsteps through the impressive medieval Westgate Tower.

Each of the four apartments at West House are allocated a parking space, if arriving by train it is a 10 minute stroll from Canterbury West Station.

West House is an ideal location to explore Canterbury and all that Kent has to offer, a short drive or train journey away there are famous coastal towns, beaches, pretty villages, castles, galleries and numerous historic sites.

Little touches

We were very happy with the property, but disappointed that there was no shower gel, which really felt poor and not in keeping with the standard otherwise. The photos showed three dispensers, which suggest the shower gel was taken by a previous tenant. It should have been replaced. We echo other feedback on the inept design of the fridge door. Surely, it can be changed.

Home in Kent.

This quite new accommodation was impressive online and, unusually, even better in reality. It was immaculately and stylishly presented and the amount of space provided was relaxing on its own. Great use of space and very private. The location allowed a leisurely stroll to all that Canterbury has to offer, from the historical sites to short river trips and a range of eating and drinking experiences. Parking excellent. Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxing long week-end and one to remember. Highly recommended.

The Terrace apartment was perfect for our short trip. Its location, the well equipped kitchen, stylish finishes, great shower and comfy bed, all helped make our visit to Canterbury a memorable one. The booking procedure was straightforward and the customer service we received from Emma was excellent.

The property was really excellent. Lovely furnishings, very comfy bed and a great welcome pack to get us going. Special thanks for my birthday chocs. One of those places that when you arrive you weren’t in any way disappointed, everything was as the details said. Thank you!

Escape is a partnership of siblings each with different talents but the same goal to offer holiday apartments that we are immensely proud of and that ultimately we would want to stay in ourselves. We have grown up in Canterbury, left at various points and have return and settled with our families, we love the area and all that it has to offer.

Why they chose this property

Canterbury is a great city to explore by foot, we were really excited when we had the opportunity to buy the apartments as we think they are in a perfect location for a holiday, close enough to the city but far enough away from the crowds and they work as a great base if you want to explore further afield, you can hop on a train to London or take a drive around the Kentish countryside.

What makes this property unique

One of the best bits about West House was that we were able to work with the fabulous designers at Bo Concept Canterbury, we love the contemporary feel of the apartments and the fact that they still feel homely. Choosing the Bo Concept furniture and accessories made us all want to redecorate our homes.
