This Apartment is a luxury home from home with warm mountain ambiance, log fire & WiFi. Self catering basis only . The uninterrupted mountain views take your breath away. ( see photos)
The two bedrooms have super king-size beds , or can have 4 single beds. The log fire in the lounge & dining area, make it lovely & cosy in the winter . For summer holidays the private garden & sun deck add a super place to relax with stunning views
The chalet is located in Meribel-Les Allues , a pretty & traditional village , quiet and uncrowded, with very easy & quick access to Méribel centre and the whole of the vast Les Trois Valées vast ski terrain. This is also a superb summer mountain activity area, or just relax in the majesty of the Alps.
Parking for 2 cars available in the chalet driveway
The village grocery shop is very well stocked and just 5 minutes walk from the chalet.
Chalet Champêtre Garden Apartment has 2 large bedrooms, sleeping up to 4 people The bedrooms give you a choice of single beds or king-size. You have wardrobes and draws, plus solid wood doors, giving quiet undisturbed nights sleep. There is also a solid wood door from the lounge, so keeping noise quietened from the lounge to the bedrooms area.
This large apartment has a warm cosy lounge, with a lovely open log fire, 3 settees & an easy chair. 1 set of double doors lead to the east facing terrace, with uninterrupted views across the mountains . The 2nd set of double doors open to the south facing front garden.
The dining room is double aspect. The table comfortably seats 6.
The full size kitchen is totally equipped for all your needs for elegant dining in . The appliances are high quality Bosch and Siemens . Quality Lagouoile cutlery and glasses for champagne, wine, shots and soft drinks .
Our attention to cleanliness & detail gives consideration for your every comfort , providing you with a home from home, in the beauty and tranquility of the mountains . I am consistently reviewed as 4 or 5 star .
Chalet Champetre is detached standing in its own private gardens and comprises of just 2 properties. The gardens are for the sole use of the Garden Apartment guests . The chalet has excellent insulation and sound proofing, so you are not disturbed.
The Chalet is in The Méribel Valley in the traditional, picturesque village of Les Allues with 4 restaurants & bars. You have easy links, within 10 minutes to the centre of Meribel, and the whole of Les Trois Vallees.

Skiers and boarders:
Les Trois Vallées, 3 Valleys , is the largest linked ski area in the world with over 200 connecting lifts & more than 600kms of groomed pistes, plus many marked off pistes & 4 couloirs. The Meribel Valley is in the centre of this ski terrain giving easy access to this whole vast area
Suitable for all grades of skier & boarder , plus there is a special debutant area for beginners. For intermediates the ski area is huge with many blue & red runs.
For the expert you have a good choice of black runs, off pistes and 4 couloirs. Experts can have ski clinic lessons to perfect your style or hire a guide to take you off the beaten track.
Les Allues & Méribel are in the centre of Les Trois Vallées, which also now has a 4th valley added, Orelle, just the other side of Val Thorens. You can ski back to the village & Chalet from January-March from the top of the Meribel ridge, down a lovely & long red run, through woods, across fields with Mount Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe, gleaming in the distance.
The non skier:
The Méribel Valley offers a great range of activities for the non skier. You can buy a walkers lift pass and dine & sunbathe at a range of mountain top restaurants. Plus there are many activities to choose from:-
Snow shoe walking, husky sled riding, hot air ballooning, ice skating on the world class ice rink where world championship ice hockey also takes place, bowling,indoor swimming overlooking the mountains, or just enjoy the new Spa at the Olympic centre. For walkers there are a good number of pretty marked and prepared paths. You can also hire a guide to take you off the beaten track.
Summer in the Méribel valley:
The huge range of activities, some extreme other more sedate are:-
Extreme sports: white river rafting, canyoning, canoeing, rock climbing, paragliding, mountain biking
More sedate: tennis, horse riding, .swimming in crystal clear lakes or the swimming pool, the beauty spas, bowling, ice skating, walking, trekking, taking a guide to remote overnight refuges, fishing, hot air balloon rides, light aircraft trips towards Mnt Blanc. Plus there is an 18 hole golf course.

A very comfortable stay in Les Allues. We had a car which was useful to get us to the gondola or up to Méribel. Our host was very helpful and responsive .

2015 Ski Trip

We stayed in the Garden Apartment and it was fantastic. The chalet is very spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It was an easy drive to the slopes and an easy walk to the free bus stop and village centre. Mary went out of her way to ensure everything was ok with our holiday. I would highly recommend this property, it is superior to many other chalets we have stayed in.

It had the wow factor on first seeing the property. It also felt very much home from home. We loved the log fire. Property was very clean and tidy with all the little extras. Mary (owner) was very helpful and could be reached at any time, if needed. Yes I would recommend this chalet to a friend or relative. The local restaurants were friendly with very good food. The local bus service, which was free, was very good and always on time to and from the three valleys. We had a wonderful stay and will come back.

Lovely comfortable chalet

The chalet looked good in the pictures and was even better in real life.Good beds, nice spacious bathroom, large cosy living room (we used the fireplace every evening) and well equipped kitchen.We drove to the nearby lift every morning, got there well before 9 and were able to park every day. The lift takes about 15 minutes to get right into the heart of Maribel and the slopes.We found it handy to book a locker at Chaudanne for our ski's and boots (make sure to book well in advance if you go during the hollidays).Communicating with Mary was swift and easy. We (2 adults and a 17 year old) can highly recommend this lovely chalet!

Marvellous!

Absolutely lovely property. If anything, the pictures don't do it justice! Difficult to get my wife and daughter to leave after the week. Liked the feel of a place which feels like a home for the owners, with a superfluity of kitchen paraphenalia, which is always important since we cook in a lot. Also really like Les Allues, and got into a routine as to how best to get to the skiing.

Our trip to Les Allues

Seven of us (2 couples and 3 kids) spent a really fabulous week in the Garden apartment. We were very comfortable - loads of space and the attention to detail was excellent. The apartment was well equipped and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms, kitchens and all facilities were first class. The aprtment is very central toLes Allues village which has a great vibe to it - really relaxed. Intimate restauraunts and friendly too. We will definitley be back as this is one of the best apartments we have stayed in over the years that we have been visiting the three Valleys.

A delightful villa with stunning views.

A most delightful villa in Les Allues With all the home comforts you could ask for. A party of five we found the villa to be roomy with plenty of space to relax without getting under each other's feet. The villa situated less than 10 min walk away for the free bus service taking you to Chaudanne Meribel before a good days skiing. The journey taking about 20 min in total. You also had the alternative choice using the olympique gondola which is also in walking distance from the villa. The accommodation was very warm and cosy and with the log fire roaring away you could watch television with numerous English digital channels to choose from. We would like to thank Mary for a most delightful stay & for all the kind information made available to us before & during our holiday. We as a party would fully recommend the garden apartment for a summer/winter break where I'm sure you will be fully satisfied.

Appart très propre. Literie parfaite. Tres belle terrasse ensoleillé le matin. Tres belle vue. L ete il y a des framboises et groseilles dans le jardin accessible en dessous. Au dessus la maison était louée. Il y a une petite supérette dans le village. Les randos au départ de Meribel sont très agréables , on peut aussi aller marcher dans le secteur.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cosy spacious garden apartment which was a joy to return to after a day skiing! The property was clean, comfortable and very well equipped with stunning views. Mary was very helpful both before & during our stay giving us a lot of information which made our week so enjoyable. A very peaceful location & we did like Les Allues and the restaurants we visited there. Transport to the slopes was good & we personally enjoyed the gondola each day but buses were very efficient too. Thank you again Mary, for a lovely week. We shall certainly recommend it to our friends and would love to return.

Le chalet est spacieux, magnifiquement décoré. La vue est merveilleuse et les petit-déjeuné pris sur la terrasse restent inoubliables. Un vrai havre de paix dans une ambiance cocooning, au coin de la cheminée ou l'on se réchauffe après une belle journée de ski. Seul problème le temps très vite :) ! Chalet Champetre’s Garden Apartment was the perfect base for our skiing holiday in the 3 Valleys: warm, cosy and comfortable with amazing views across the valley every morning as we drew the curtains. The apartment was very well-equipped so catering for ourselves was easy. The beds were large and comfortable. There was a log fire to add to the cosy atmosphere. It was a bit of a trek to the Olympe bubble so we used the car to transport skis and boots, but the quiet, peaceful location of the property more than made up for that. Transport to Méribel from Les Allues is simple, either using the bubble lift or the regular free bus service. There is a ski hire shop and supermarket a short walking distance from the apartment. This was one of the nicest places we have stayed in - we wanted to come back for next Christmas but it was already booked! Understandably so!

Why they chose this property

We love the picturesque and traditional village of Les Allues. It is the best of all worlds: a traditional French village right in the heart of the Méribel Valley, beautiful any season of the year. The chalet and village have a very warm feeling. The Chalet was totally renovated 9 years ago and continues to be maintained to a very high standard with all modern facilities, but with a cosy Alpine ambiance. Just perfect to feel at home in the mountains. I am proud to have been awarded 4 stars by the Méribel tourist board and their coveted LaBelMeribel certificate.

What makes this property unique

The chalet is very spacious with fantastic views. Plus the delight of being in a traditional French village , as opposed to a purpose built seasonal resort.
You get more space & luxury for your money by not being in the centre, but still easy to access the whole area. The village is quieter than the centre of Meribel,especially at night!
