Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns bei ihr wohl. Die Lage des Hauses ist gut, wenn man Land und Leute kennenlernen möchte. Zu Fuß ist man schnell in der Innenstadt und am Hafen. Lediglich die Ausstattung des Hauses ist zum Teil in die Jahre gekommen, Stühle und Sofa nicht sehr bequem. Auch war es nicht so sauber, aber da hat ja jeder ein anderes empfinden.

Delphine is a wonderful host who makes you feel like family. The house is well taken care of, clean, perfectly located and wonderfully decorated. It is a great home and an excellent central location for a Normandy vacation.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille dans ce grand et beau gîte fonctionnel. L’espace de vie au rez de chaussée est vraiment idéal pour se regrouper sans se marcher dessus. We couldn't have been happier with our accommodation in our stay in Carentan. The property was spacious, clean, well equipped and in a perfect location, being within a short walk to the Town Centre. The host Delphine was there to greet us on arrival and was very friendly, giving us all the information we needed. We came as a family of eight on a trip to visit the Normandy beaches, cemeteries and museums - this was a perfect base to do all of the above. With the unseasonably hot weather in mid-October, we even had a bar-be-q in the charming back garden, making use of the ample outdoor seating and facilities. The games room to the front of the house with a pool table and football table saw plenty of use and was a great addition for some evening entertainment. This was a perfect stay for us and I couldn't recommend the property highly enough. Thank you Delphine.

Wir haben die 2 Wochen sehr genossen und sind beeindruckt als auch besinnlich mit der Normandie eins geworden! Besondere Empfehlung hier auszusprechen sind die verschiedenen Museen des WW II, wobei das Museum des dead man corner (D-Day experience) von allen uns an besten gefiel.

Détente en famille

Un super endroit pour des vacances en famille. Le gîte papillon est une maison conviviale, très bien agencée et bien équipée (beau jardin, BBQ, billard, baby-foot, 3 chambres avec sdb et wc privés, et 2 chambres avec 1 sdb commune). Tout est présent dans la maison,y compris le linge de lit et les essuies de bain. Nous recommandons chaudement.
