Fantastic Normandie Base for visiting the Beaches and Museums

Delphine is a wonderful host who makes you feel like family. The house is well taken care of, clean, perfectly located and wonderfully decorated. It is a great home and an excellent central location for a Normandy vacation.

This was perfect for a family holiday. The house is clean, spacious and very well equipped for those who want to cook and eat in-house. The garden is lovely, with lots of space and with different areas to sit out. The gite is about a 10 minute walk from Carentan, or a few minutes in the car. Carentan is about 60 minutes easy driving from Caen. Our host, Mme Haubois, was very welcoming and gave us some good ideas on where to eat and visit, and sorted out a minor issue with the washing machine very quickly. I can highly recommend this gite for a family holiday!.

We were greeted by the warm and friendly host Delphine who took the time to show us around the property explaining how everything worked. The property was exceptional and well described and very reasonably priced The location was close to the town centre and also close to supermarkets all with in walking distance. A pleasant retreat near Normandy Beaches

Delphine is a gracious hostess, and the property allowed our large group to have space when needed, yet the dining area and sunroom could accommodate the whole group. Our visits to Pont du Hoc, the museum in Caen, the American Cemetery and Omaha beach were easily accessed from this property. We also visited Mont St. Michel, which was a longer drive, but worth the drive. If you have a large group, this is a great property!

Perfect lodgings.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in the comfortable and spacious house. Lovely garden and ponds. We had B-B-Q on 2 nights as the weather was spectacular. Nearby marina has a great restaurant. The house is within easy driving distance of beaches, towns and Mon San Michel. Highly recommend the house. Thank you to Madam Delphine for your kindness and hospitality. Merci beaucoup.

Delphine was a wonderful host. Her home is delightful and turned out to be much more than we expected. We had everything we needed and we were able to enjoy it all in a beautiful setting at Blactot in Carentan. There was an abundance of room with bathrooms for everyone allowing for comfort and relaxation after long days of touring beautiful Normandy! We will not hesitate to return and stay at Delphine’s again in the future!!

Great home for relaxing and near the Normandy beaches

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room for the 6 of us (there were beds for 8 and another room coming soon). All of the current bedrooms are located upstairs. Everything you would need was in the kitchen and a boulangerie is only a few blocks away. It was a great base for visiting the Normandy beaches and Mont St Michael. I just wished we had more time to enjoy the house and the town of Carentan. Delphine greeted us when we arrived (later than we planned) and was a gracious hostess.

We couldn't have been happier with our accommodation in our stay in Carentan. The property was spacious, clean, well equipped and in a perfect location, being within a short walk to the Town Centre. The host Delphine was there to greet us on arrival and was very friendly, giving us all the information we needed. We came as a family of eight on a trip to visit the Normandy beaches, cemeteries and museums - this was a perfect base to do all of the above. With the unseasonably hot weather in mid-October, we even had a bar-be-q in the charming back garden, making use of the ample outdoor seating and facilities. The games room to the front of the house with a pool table and football table saw plenty of use and was a great addition for some evening entertainment. This was a perfect stay for us and I couldn't recommend the property highly enough. Thank you Delphine.

Lors de notre arrivée nous avons été un peu surpris de l’environnement mais dès que Delphine nous a ouvert la porte nous avons été séduits par la maison : très grande, très bien agencée et confortable, un magnifique jardin. L’accueil est très sympathique et tout a été fait pour que nous passions un magnifique week-end. Il est très facile d’aller à Carentan à pied.Un grand merci à Delphine pour tout.

Nous sommes venu entre amis pour un week end , et c'était vraiment génial, le logement est très spacieux les chambres très confortables. On se sent vraiment bien dans la maison et le jardin est très reposant. Un petit cocon a 15 minutes des plages et a peine 5 minutes de très bons restaurants ( petit pour le Bella ciao) . Delphine est très gentille très souriante et très accueillante. Je recommande a 100% que ce soit pour un week end entre amis avec ou sans enfants et meme pour des vacances. Merci Delphine pour ce séjour, nous reviendrons
