About this property
Best View in Belfast! Spacious four bedroom family home
We welcome genuine travellers. If you are looking for a party house, please look elsewhere. This is a nice quiet friendly family orientated road and we value our good neighbours.
Situated on the side of the hill, we have a panoramic view across the whole of Belfast, the Lough and the hills beyond. Belfast City Airport is a 15 minute drive away. There is easy access to the road system to all parts of Northern Ireland. There is a secure back garden and plenty of free parking both on the driveway and on the road.
This is a big comfortable four bedroomed property on the outskirts of Belfast. There is plenty of space for a large group to spread themselves out.
We are a non smoking household and ask that guests do not smoke within the property. We are also a pet free house.
I love to cook so the kitchen is well equipped. But please note that I do not have a freezer.
The house is in a peaceful quiet location, a great place to return to and relax after a busy day sightseeing. There are bus stops into and out of Belfast about 5-10 mins walk away and plenty of restaurants in the nearby Ballyhackamore area. If you don't want to cook or go out, there are lots of take away options who deliver. I love to cook so the kitchen is well equipped but please note, I don’t have freezer!
Taxis in Northern Ireland are very cost effective so if you don’t want to walk to the bus stop, you can easily and quickly access everything in Belfast. There are so many things to do you will be spoilt for choice. We find that guests often book two nights but then wish they had another day. There is the world renown Titanic Museum. I have been about 5 times and every time I go, I see something I missed last time round. The Ulster Museum and the Botanic Gardens are another great day out and if you have time, you can take a self guided tour of Queens University Langdon buildings. Many of our guests have enjoyed taxi tours of Belfast or Game of Thrones Tours which will take you further afield. If you like walking, there are also self guided tours of Belfast or why not get up high, up and over The Cave Hill. The walk starts and finishes at Belfast Castle and affords great views right across Belfast.
The Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge and Dunluce Castle are all easy travel time from Belfast (about and hour) and you could always climb Slemish on your way t9 the north coast.
You won’t be disappointed in a trip to Belfast and we can send you more ideas once you have booked.

About the host

Mark and I travel between London and Belfast. We love to travel.
I am originally from Belfast and often come home to see the family. My sister lives in the same street and my mum usually does the meet and greet.
When in Belfast, we hike, play golf, eat nice food and continue to see the sights, despite having seen them all before. It's a rare year when I don't make a trip to The Giants Causeway or walk in The Mournes.

Why they chose this property
We chose this house as my sister lives just down the road and it is a quiet residential area. Nothing in Belfast is very far away and if you don't want to hire a car, then the taxi service is great and very affordable. A trip to the North Coast to see Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede and Dunluce castle are a must but so is a trip south to The Mourne Mountains, Monasterboice and Newgrange. Belfast itself has lots to offer so this makes belfast a great base for your travels around Northern Ireland.
What makes this property unique
For a big group, there is plenty of space to spread out and relax after a day out and about. My kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook or the Ballyhackamore area is close by if you are looking for a place to eat. It is not for nothing that it is now called Ballysnackamore. I can suggest the restaurants Cyprus Avenue and Neil's Hill but there is plenty or other choices.
