About this property

New Western style home on 5 acres in Cave Creek Az

This custom home is on our personal 5 acres as a second home for guests. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath but we prefer to rent it to only 2 adults. However a family we will consider. ( for an additional cost)

This is a horse property! So if you would like to enjoy our western lifestyle then this is the place! 38,000 acres of beautiful desert is right across the street and yet the grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants are 1 mile away! This location is wonderful for golfers, bikers, outdoor enthusiasts and horse lovers! We do not board outside horses but boarding is available next door. We do have our own personal horses on the property and team rope practice in the arena. We are 10 minutes from Dynamite Arena. We are on the cave creek / phoenix border so our location is close to just about everything you need or want to go: 20 min to Phx PGA course and Barrett Jackson show(Scottsdale) 10 min to downtown Cave Creek 25 min to Cardinal Stadium 30 min To Phoenix Sky Harbor International airport 90 minutes to Sedona 20 minutes to Mayo Clinic We also have a sister casita as an option! B-day get away for Hubby!

Perfect weekend get away for my husbands birthday. We enjoyed relaxing, shopping and eating in Cave Creek in addition to making a wonderful steak dinner at the Casita. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and and property is so fun with watching the horses. Will visit again

A wonderful well stocked home with the advantage of seeing horses at all the properties nearby and state access land across the street for an easy desert walk. Check in and check out was super easy and the hosts who also live on the property are very friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Best in the west!

This casita is even more lovely than the photos convey. The western theme is consistent with the design of the casita and its location on horse property. Indeed, the property belongs to a couple who is well-known in the arena of team roping. Mary and Walt are the most gracious hosts and we especially enjoyed our visits with Walt, who is a true gent! Our experience was restful, relaxing and quiet. The linens and mattress were especially comfortable--and we are picky!! The kitchen is well-supplied with all of the utensils we gourmet foodies needed to prepare our meals. Just outside the master bedroom we lounged on a couple of reclining lawn chairs and watched the playful acrobatics of hummingbirds. We made a great choice in selecting this VRBO and were honored to have stayed here as guests.

Best Accomodations in Scottsdale - by far!

We're lucky and we know it. We stay in Four Seasons or Ritz Carltons 2 or 3 times a year. We use VRBO regularly and even rent our own properties out this way. This western themed casita is spectacular. Perfectly appointed in every way. No detail missed, nothing less than 5 star. Private, solidly built, luxuriously homey. Master shower is 10' x 17', all tile with 2 awesome shower heads. A home away from home for sure. Plus, you get to watch one of the world's most famous horse trainer's in action every day.

Perfection

My golfing buddy and I used the home for four days while participating in a local golf tournament. Perfect set up with our own bedrooms and baths. We were both impressed with the cleanliness of the home and how well the exterior landscaping was maintained. The home was well furnished with all the comforts of home, with my buddy stating, "Are we missing anything here?" Perhaps the ultimate compliment was my buddy saying "I need to bring my wife here." Finally compliments to our host, Mary, who was a pleasure to coordinate our stay and was quite kind to me as I pulled the man act and forgot one of my toiletries and she arranged to mail it back to me. We look forward to returning next year. p.s. The evening quiet was amazing.
