Olvera VRBO

We decided to go to Olvera to ride the Via Verde de la Frontera. The ride and the VRBO were great. The owners of the apartment were very congenial and accommodating. We were able to park our rental car in their garage!

First impressions are everything. We were made to feel very welcome by Maria and the house is lovely. Easy to park in the garage and then upstairs to a bright and comfortable apartment. We came to Olvera because we wanted to cycle the Via Verde de la Sierra and this apartment is well located for that. The via verde is an offroad cycleway following an old railway. The highlight is the Penon de Zaframagon, an unforgettable scene from the bridge watching the vultures circling the rock. As for Olvera, it is easy to walk the sightseeing route, taking in the Pueblo Blanco and enjoying the culture and history of the region. Olvera has a great feel, you are in a place that has a friendly spirit. Cafes, bars and restaurants are plentiful and moderately priced throughout the town. The kitchenette in the apartment is equipped to make breakfast and a simple meal - there is a Mercadona supermarket 5 minutes walk away.
