Unit 1-103 is on the ground floor of the highly desirable Building 1 at Kamaole Sands Resort. This condo complex faces the beautiful Kamaole Beach Park 3 which is across the street. This beach is well known for boogie boarding, snorkeling, and watching the sunset. Beach towels and beach chairs are provided for your enjoyment! The condo features a large lanai overlooking a flat and open grassy area, the lush and colorful central garden, and two spectacular lighted fountains. (Condos at Kamaole Sands alternate with large and small lanais and this condo features the large one!) There is also a partial view of the ocean from the lanai where you might spot a whale in season. The lanai is a perfect spot to enjoy all of your meals, relax and read a book, or just rest after a busy day exploring Maui. In addition to the large lanai the condo features a fabulous kitchen, and two upscale bathrooms. The kitchen has rich granite counter tops, coordinating cabinets, plus all stainless steel appliances including the refrigerator, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. The bathrooms were also remodeled with upscale granite counter tops, new vanities, and under mount sinks. The master bathroom has a combination tub and shower, whereas the hall bathroom has a walk-in shower with a glass door.
The master bedroom features an island style king size bed, a quiet overhead fan with 6 speeds, and a window shutter. A separate AC has been installed in the bedroom to keep you cool at night. There is also a combination safe in the bedroom to store your valuables while you are at the beach or pool.
There have been many other upgrades to the condominium for your enjoyment and comfort. Two flat screen TVs are in the living room and bedroom. There is a powerful air conditioner in the living room, which has been moved up on the wall for better circulation of cool air throughout the condo. There is also a separate AC in the bedroom. In addition, there is ceramic floor tile everywhere except the bedroom. Also, a washer and dryer are available. The lanai features sling back chairs for your comfort. The condominium has been tastefully decorated in island style and all the living room and dining room furniture have been reupholstered.
In addition, all of the roofs and all of the pipes were recently replaced in building 1 for added reliability and integrity of the building. Also, the interior of the condo was just painted in 2024 from top to bottom for a fresh new light and bright look. In general, the condo is equipped with all the comforts of home to make your vacation an unforgettable experience.
The condominium is just a short walk across the street to the Kamaole Beach Park 3 where you can swim, snorkel or go boogie boarding. If you are into relaxing you can also just sit and read a book under the trees or watch the sunset in the evening. There are plenty of benches lining the seashore now. You might just spot the whales when they are in season. You can also walk on a path along the shore to other beaches in Kihei and Wailea. Be sure to look for sea turtles on your walk!
Building 1 is situated so that there is no problem with either street noise or pool noise. It also features easy access to the swimming pool, two hot tubs, barbecue grills, two tennis courts plus three pickle ball courts. Rackets and balls are available to rent in the reception area.
Kamaole Sands Resort is a short walk to restaurants and shops in Kihei. Also, there is bus service at the street to other Maui locations for adventures, shopping, and restaurants.

The condo was perfect for us. Location was ideal and the view was great! Everything was as described. Our host was great - communicated and available if necessary. Would have said 5 stars for check in but had a difficult time finding the office - this was on us as we entered through the back gate without knowing it. We can’t wait to return.
Loved the location of this unit in Kamaole Sands. The partial ocean view is delightful. The host responded quickly to our queries and was very accommodating. The unit was very clean. We will book again.
This was a perfect base for our family week-long vacation. It has everything you need - beach necessities, fully stock kitchen, lanai and a beautiful beach just steps away. Would definitely come back.
We stayed a week and the location to all we wanted to see was perfect. Many dining choices within walking distance. The beach just across the street is one of our favorites for snorkeling.

We couldn't have been happier. The location is convenient - we could walk to the beach (across the street!) and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Everything about this stay met or exceded our expectations. A beautiful property inside and out. The only thing to note about this specific unit is the bedroom is very close to the elevators and you may hear other travellers during the night.
Have stayed at Kameole Sands previously and love the location. First time at Sharon's place and would stay here again! Has all the amenities needed for comfortable stay. Sharon was very responsive and very easy to communicate with. Would stay here again!
Loved our stay at Kamaole Sands. We loved the large lanai and this unit is close to the beach , pool and barbecues. Our children and grandchildren also stayed in different units so we had a wonderful family vacation. The grounds are beautiful.
Bldg 1 is a great location to the BBQ, pool and closest to the beach. It was well stocked with beach chairs/toys, lots of towels and one laundry detergent pack. We also had plenty of paper towels and trash bags for the entire stay.
We loved the close proximity to the beach and the beautiful grounds, and pool. The condo was spacious, clean. One minor suggestion would be to add an AC unit in the Master bedroom. Great centralized location. We were able to visit the entire island. Close proximity to the grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed eating outside on the lovely lanai. Thank you Sharon, we had a wonderful vacation.

Some deferred maintenance and needs some interior refreshing to make the unit shine. Love the proximity to Kam 3 and walkable to nearby shops/restaurants.
Overall was what I expected. A few things I was disappointed in was..The shower head of the on suite bathroom was horrible and had be cleaned( by my husband) & the closet on the lanai was a mess with broken chairs. I think a overall cleaning would do the place good.Overall we enjoyed staying there and would go back.
We had a great week long visit to Maui. This condo was a perfect home base for all of our adventures. The grounds of the condo are beautiful and the poolIs a great place to relax in the afternoon when you are done with beach time. You are within walking distance to many restaurants and beaches, with short drives if you don’t want to walk. The condo is clean, with updated appliances, should you want to use the kitchen. Check the outdoor storage before you go buy any beach stuff. Everything you need is there…chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, coolers, etc. We left our brand new gear there for future guests. The owner and property management were responsive to an A/C issue, providing a portable unit when the wall unit failed. The owner also provided a cooler for us when we asked in advance of our trip.
We've stayed in Kihei a number of times over the last handful of years, a couple times a year. The location of 1-103 is great. Nice split distance between going to the pool or the beach. The kitchen is well equipped with newer appliances. No spices, salt/pepper or things like that, so plan accordingly. The furniture was clean and comfortable. Bed was nice too. I had a tough time setting up the bedroom tv, but facilities helped me out with that.
Would have been nice to have a beach umbrella, and I'm sure at some point there was one. It must have gone missing, so we rented one. Sharon is a great communicator and left me no doubt check in/out would be smooth, and it was.
All in all, great condo in Kamaole Sands.

We are both retirees of The Dow Chemical Company where we worked for almost 30 years. Steve specialized in computer systems, where as, Sharon is a chemist and worked in Technical Service and Development related to water treatment. In retirement we both enjoy playing tennis and doing volunteer work. We also enjoy spending time with our two daughters, one son in law, and four grandchildren. Managing our condo in Maui has been a great source of pride and accomplishment in our lives.
Why they chose this property
We had vacationed at this property for several years and really loved it. It is a great family resort in a wonderful location near the beach. You can walk on the beach for miles in either direction and you can snorkel right in front of the condo. You can also walk to dinner and shopping if you are not up for a drive. We also love the fact that we see local Hawaiian's using the beach and park and can feel like we are a part of their culture.
What makes this property unique
The central garden is absolutely beautiful with a variety of colorful flowering plants and trees. There is also a large pool and two hot tubs to enjoy after a busy day on the island. The BBQ areas are a short walk from the lanai of the condo and have been recently renovated. The tennis and pickleball courts are generally available and they are conveniently located. This is a low density condominium complex with plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the grounds.
