Was a great place to stay had a few issues but got right in contact with property owner and walked me thru the problem. Would recommend to other people for sure.
Couldn’t really ask for a better place to stay. Wish they had more hooks to hang towels. The washer and dryer are apartment size so no quick drying of towels. It had everything we needed and most important. It was perfectly clean!!
Lovely cabin in the mountains, complete with large comfy beds, well stocked kitchen necessities, even provided laundry detergent!!! Peace and quiet, with a juvenile black bear strolling by.

Beautiful quaint in the mountains
This a quaint cabin in the mountains. Theowner was great to work with andver accommodating,
Only real issues were the rugs could have been vacuumed better and we whould have been prewarned of very steep driveway.
Beautiful cabin, well supplied. Driveway is steep, and owner informs you of this. Would not suggest large SUV or full size trucks. We manuevered, but it was tight. Still well worth it...
We enjoyed our stay at Ole Smokey cabin. The cabin is very nice and everything that is needed. The road is steep, but it is the mountains, my husband had zero problems driving it. The hot tub was a nice relaxing extra, and my kids loved having foose ball available. FYI there is no pizza delivery there, so grab something before you head in for the evening. The location is perfectly situated in between pigeon forge and gatlinburg. Also, if you like extra blankets bring yourself one! Other than that it was a great stay and the owner communicates nicely.

Lovely cabin, scary road
First of all, this was a lovely, comfortable cabin. I only wish it were on a different road. We have stayed in 7 different cabins in the mountains over the years. This one had, by far, the steepest road. It wasn’t just the driveway, it was the road the cabin was on. We estimate it was a 15-20 degree grade. Our 9-year-old minivan, fully loaded with people and luggage, had a really rough time getting up the hill and turning onto the driveway. Once we got to the base of cabin, we couldn’t drive to the top of the driveway. We carried our luggage up the 3 stories to the cabin entrance.
Here are our other thoughts:
PROS
Comfortable beds & couches
Lots of space
Room for 5 adults to lounge comfortably watching a movie
Good TV w/Roku and plenty of streaming services
Kitchen had lots of cooking utensils & cookware.
Dishes were nice quality.
Chairs for six people on the front porch plus large picnic table on side deck.
Stairs to upstairs bedroom were wide enough to use with luggage comfortably.
Black bear walked right by our window in the back.
CONS
Only one oven pad and no oven mitts that we could find — made it hard to get food out of the oven
Dryer took a LONG time to dry a full load of clothes. Much better after we split apart the load.
Downstairs shower was very small and quite dark. (Upstairs was roomy.)
Only had 1/4 of a roll of paper towels when we arrived. Glad we brought our own.
If it weren’t for the road/driveway, we would probably rent it again.
Great place to stay between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg! The reviews about the somewhat scary drive up the hill to the property were accurate especially if the first time up was in the dark! However, after that each time was easier!
Very clean cottage, well stocked kitchen. Could have used a cutting board and coasters for drinks. No board games for kids or adults. Excellent cutlery, top shelf pots and pans (Wolfgang Puck). Pristine hot tub water. Very comfy king beds. The towels! Very big and plush and many of them! Close to Gatlinburg/Pigeoan Forge and Smokies. Screened porch with grill very private. Quiet neighbors separated by woods. Very steep driveway. Upper two spaces inaccessible with our Toyota Sienna minivan. Would highly recommended AWD or 4Wd to access cabin. Steep narrow approach road and very steep driveway. Enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay very much and found the cabin to be very comfortable. The beds and pillows were very nice and the bathrooms were fine. The downstairs shower is definitely narrow but was fine for us. Also, I really think the description of the property should make it clear that the jetted tub does not work. Also the description should include details about the driveway which is very steep but manageable. Overall, it was a wonderful getaway for us and our kids.
It was a very comfy space with everything you would need provided. All you need to do is brong yourself and your bags. The road & drive way are very steep so make sure you AWD/4WD. Owner was very nice and answers you promptly when you have questions or concerns.
Rick and his home were nothing short of amazing! Very clean and well maintained- equipped with everything you need- super helpful with any questions or recommendations we had asked. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience in the mountains. We can’t wait to book with him again!
Rick's cabin is just as described! It's peaceful and nicely tucked into the woods for a relaxing get away. The screened in porch is perfect for sitting outside in the evenings. Everything you need is provided! The lush bath towels were the best!
The cabin is high on the mountain and some of the hills are steep, but it is worth it! Would absolutely stay here again!
Great property. Only down fall was the bedroom downstairs, the bed is covering the supply so it doesn't get the heat/cool. There is also no light in downstairs shower. Other than that, it is a great place to stay!
The owner was a super great guy!! Let us check in early and was there to clear leaves from driveway and chatted a bit with us. So cool to get the history of the cabin! I would love to buy it! Please call if you want to sell it ;) The cabin needs work that he stated will be done soon. Fireplace was wonderful. Roku tvs a big bonus! The drive up was an adventure in itself. If You want a mountain cabin experience then this is it. I could hear the Dollywood steam train in the distance when it was very quiet. So cool!! The cleaning people could most definitely do a better job. No heat vents in downstairs bedroom caused my mother in law to turn up heat to be warm and it was way to hot upstairs but we made it work. Extra blankets would be a bonus. The dryer took literally all day to dry towels. But all and all It was a nice experience for my husband and I. When he makes the needed repairs to cabin we will definitely be back!!
The cabin itself was OK. The cleanliness of it not so much. The coffee pot had not been cleaned, the microwave was dirty inside, and a few strands of hair was found in the refrigerator. We had no dishcloths or dish towels to do the dishes, so we had to use bath towels. Wet bath towels were left in the washer and in the dryer. Although, we do think that the heating element went out on the dryer prior to our arrival. We did not have any paper towels or toilet tissue until someone delivered it to our cabin on Friday. There was a musty smelly odor every time we entered the cabin.
