This cozy cabin is tucked far enough away to escape the noise and rush of everyday life but still close enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer. Wake up to the sounds of nature, breathe in the fresh air, and take in the beauty that surrounds you. Whether you’re here to unwind, explore, or just enjoy a quiet moment, this is the perfect place to slow down and reconnect with what matters most.

Completely updated and comfortable.

We had a very relaxing time. This cabin has All the amenities you could want. The water pressure is better than our own home. Super Clean. The towels were even folded like you're staying in a High Class Hotel. Owners were easy to communicate with. I think they thought of everything you could possibly need. Love the big deck. QUITE AND PEACEFUL. You are literally In the Mountains. Thank you!!

The pickets and railings on both porches are completely falling off. The amount of rotten wood was a huge concern. As one of us went up the back steps, the entire railing fell over to the side and nearly fell off. We did not use the hot tub because of the instability of the porch. The outside area is very dark because only 2 bulbs lit up the entire space. The toaster caught fire, and the dryer buttons had been ripped nearly off. The dishes in the cupboards were dirty and chipped. There were fingerprints all over the plates. There is no way the place had been dusted before we arrived. Lots of dust on the ceiling fans and the decor on the walls. This place disappointed us greatly.

Lovely secluded cabin

A very clean, lovely cabin, nice layout, and beautiful views from the long front deck. The cabin is very secluded and quiet. The hot tub and fire pit made our stay that much more relaxing. Larry was there when we needed him. He was kind, caring and very accomodating. We loved everything about our stay there. We went to the Titanic museum, rocky mountain coaster, Dolly Parton Stampede dinner 1st night of Christmas show,, and 2 of the national parks and Clingmans Dome. Iating.maaccomodwell

A great stay

This was our first trip without kids and love being up in this area. The cabin is nicely nestled in a secluded area having that privacy made it even more relaxing. I’m always cautious of photos however this one showed just as described, the property was clean inside and out with zero worries. The driveway like all others is a bit of a daring feeling however even with our truck we made it up with no issues. Thank you for a great week away until next year 😊

Pleasant little cabin

I very much enjoyed our stay at “Easy Livin’”. It was a quaint little cabin with lots of room to enjoy and close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. My only complaint would be the very steep driveway but given that the weather was good I had very little trouble getting up and down the hill. I think if there were snow or rain we would have had to walk up and down the driveway. Stacia was very attentive though, after noticing there was no scissors, cutting board or baking sheet she had DoorDashed them to my front door within half an hour! I’d call that phenomenal customer service! Very clean place and the hot tub was wonderful! I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

The listing perfectly shows the home. The setting is beautiful. It’s about 20 minutes from town but we were totally fine with that. We loved the peace and quiet and we especially enjoyed the fire pit. You do have to bring own wood but we knew that. The front porch was also very enjoyable. The beds were comfortable as was all living room furniture. The showers were great with good hot water. There were lots of dishes, glassware, pots & pans but oddly no baking dishes. We were surprised too that there was zero coffee Usually we find at least 1 morning worth when we travel. There also was no salt or pepper or anything like that at all. We couldn’t get the remote to work for the fireplace. It appeared the remote was inoperable. It was pretty beat up. We couldn’t really read the buttons. Lastly there as an odor about the house. One of the bathrooms smelled of cat pee. Overall a very positive stay but could use a few improvements

The driveway was impossible to get up. You have to have AWD and probably a truck to get up to the cabin. My charger was not able to make it up and we slid down from the driveway! Everytime we left or came back to the cabin we had to hike up because of how steep the hill is. Needs to be written in the description, with better pictures!!

Easy, clean, peaceful stay for family of 5

For our 4 adults and one toddler, there was plenty of space, and the cabin was safe for our little boy. Location is nice environmentally. It is a timely drive from popular attractions if it’s crowded, so traffic can be lengthy, as expected. Only downsides are minuscule issues like DVD player not ejecting or outside decorative string lights not working properly, no effect on the overall experience, which was very pleasant. Communication was great. Would definitely recommend this stay.

Hello! We are your hosts, Stacia and Larry Morand, and we warmly welcome you to our family's cabin. In 2018, after an unforgettable anniversary trip to the Smoky Mountains, we were so captivated by the beauty and tranquility that we decided to establish Over the Mountain Cabin Rentals. The breathtaking scenery and serenity of the area inspired us to share this experience with others, and we hope that you will love the area as much as we do!

At Over the Mountain, our mission is to offer all our guests an exceptional and personalized experience. We aim to provide comfortable, inviting cabins that serve as a home away from home amidst the stunning backdrop of the Smoky Mountains. Our goal is to be your family's place to vacation repeatedly, creating enduring memories for generations to come.

Over the Mountain offers a range of cabins, from cozy 1-bedroom retreats to spacious 5-bedroom accommodations, across the Tennessee Smoky Mountains. Our management model is to self-manage all our rentals. So be assured that when you reach out to us, you speak directly with the owners, not a property manager.

At Over the Mountain, we're all about making your stay truly special! From the moment you reach out about our cabins to the day you check out, we're dedicated to making your experience seamless and tailored to you. We're here to assist and support you every step of the way, ensuring your getaway feels just right. Once you're settled in, we respect your privacy – unless you need a helping hand or have something specific in mind. Your comfort and enjoyment are our top priorities

Why they chose this property

We love Easy Livin’ because it’s the perfect mix of peaceful privacy and easy access to all the fun in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This single-level cabin makes everything convenient—no stairs to climb—while still giving you modern comforts like Wi-Fi, DirecTV, and a full kitchen. The two bedrooms on opposite sides of the cabin give everyone space and privacy, making it ideal for couples, small families, or friends traveling together.

Step outside and enjoy the private hot tub surrounded by trees, gather around the fire pit under the stars, or relax on the front porch with a cup of coffee and a mountain view. For us, it’s the perfect Smoky Mountain getaway—quiet, cozy, and close to everything.

What makes this property unique

Easy Livin’ is a rare find in the Smoky Mountains because it’s a true single-level cabin—no stairs, no hassle, just easy comfort. With two bedrooms located on opposite sides of the cabin, it offers great privacy for couples or friends traveling together. The open-concept living room, kitchen, and dining area make it easy to cook, relax, and spend time together.

Outside, the private hot tub on the back deck feels tucked away in the trees, creating a peaceful retreat after a day of adventure. The fire pit is perfect for s’mores and stargazing, and the covered porch makes a cozy spot for morning coffee while looking out toward the foothills.

Another bonus is convenience—you’re within range for local food delivery, which is unusual for cabins in this area, and you’re still only a short drive to The Island in Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg.

For larger groups, our other cabin Permanent Vacation is located just across the street. Renting both homes together is a perfect option for families or friends who want to be close but still have their own space.
