Rose Cottage is a traditional, fisherman’s 2-bedroom cottage which is in the heart of St Ives. It sleeps 4 in a king size bedroom and a twin bedroom. There is large family bathroom with a slipper bath and large separate shower, WC and wash basin.
The living room is cosy and great for couples to relax together or for family to create lovely holiday memories. The kitchen is very well-equipped to very easily and conveniently cater for a family of 4 for a week or two.
This cottage is literally moments from St Ives’ best beaches and all of the restaurants, shops, cafes and eateries are very nearby too. There is an outside shower at the rear access so great for washing off sand before relaxing indoors.
Porthmeor beach is an easy 2 minute walk away and the town centre with all of its restaurants, bars and cafes and the harbour is, as already mentioned, just a couple of minutes on foot.
There is free WiFi throughout the house.
All bed linen, bath towels and utilities are included in the rate.

Steps from a great bakery and the water in both directions. Might be a little tricky for tots and elderly to navigate the stairs, but comfortable overall.
The property was a good standard in a good location. The biggest problem we faced was with the ‘nearby car parking’ quoted on the listing, in reality the car parking was at least 1/2 mile from the cottage which created severe problems when arriving in heavy rain with my wife and I with two grandchildren in tow complete with cases of luggage + food for a week + children’s toys etc. if we had known how far the car parking was away from this cottage we would not have booked it.

Thank you for your lovely review of Rose Cottage itself and we're sorry that you had trouble with parking. From speaking with you on the day of your arrival when assisting you in finding the parking and property, we don't believe you had taken note of our directions, arrival instructions or pre-arrival information.
For future guests we would kindly reassure you that the parking for Rose Cottage is less than half a mile from the property, it is approximately a 6-7 minute walk (0.3m/ 0.482km) as shown on Google Maps. You can find this by searching Rose Lane St Ives to Beach Road St Ives. The property description on VRBO states the distance of the parking and we also provide instructions on where you can temporarily park your car (approximately 2 minutes from the front door) to unload luggage to the house.
Comfortable house in good location. Suited us well, but lots of stairs would make it tricky for toddlers. Well equipped and attractive modern interior.
Rose cottage envelops you in a very warm embrace. It feels like a home from home, we automatically felt at home from when we walked in the front door. The cottage is furnished very well, including a very well equipped kitchen and local art on the walls. The location is great for exploring St Ives with close proximity to the beach, Tate and Barbara Hepworth. Would recommend dropping / loading luggage by the Sloop or Bumble Tea Rooms before parking in the allocated parking spot on Beach road. Sam and her team were extremely diligent and helpful both during the booking process, pre visit comms and during the stay. Thank you to owners Kerstin and Andrew for sharing your lovely home - it’s a little gem🙏🤗
