Fantastic position
We had a great holiday in your cottage, everything we needed was at hand. We especially liked that it was in a quieter part of
St Ives but incredibly near to a nice beach. We also liked that fact that it's near to great restaurants and shops.
We just wanted a beautiful location quiet and lots of little coffee stops sea front and sister time
Lovely cosy homely cottage. Minutes from the sea front. Everything you’d want and more. Lots of games in premises for a rainy day to!

Just lovely
We stayed there (3 adults) for 3 nights and had such lovely time. The house instantly makes you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. It is decorated with so much thought given and love, I really enjoyed it.
Also the welcome pack was such a lovely addition. Best of all is the very central location to the harbour and the main shopping areas, as well as the Tate Gallery. It literally is the perfect location in St. Ives. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

Great location, great little cottage.
We've stayed in the 'downalong' for the last 17 years and 4 St Eia is certainly one of our favourite cottages. It's beautifully appointed and decorated inside and very comfortable and cosy. Like most typical downalong cottages it is compact, but the living areas feel spacious and airy, and the owners are honest and explain in their details that there are 4 flights of stairs, so you know what to expect; it's great exercise, but just don't forget to bring down everything you need from pretty master bedroom in the eaves! The owners are extremely helpful, communication is easy and there is a local housekeeper at hand if you have any problems. Thanks Emma and Andy for a fantastic holiday.

Fishermans Cottage St Aia Street
The cottage is very stylish inside. It is really lovely. The three of us stayed there for a week and we became very fond of it. I hope people realize the front door is a barn door. You can open the top half and let the fresh air of the street come into the kitchen. We had some problems with the washing machine and it was sorted out immediately by Andy and Emma. St Ives is an amazing place and the cottage is right in the middle of it.. A magical experience.

A beautiful cottage with everything you need in a great location
A great cottage finished to a high standard with everything there you could need for cooking etc.
In a great location only a 5 minute walk to all the beaches, shops, restaurants and pubs.
Our children loved porthgwidden beach the most, but porthmeor beach definatley worth a visit for surfing/bodyboarding.
It was a challenge driving around to the cottage in my pickup truck, but once unloaded we parked up at the rugby club which was £35 for a 7 day parking pass, and there is a bus service which takes you back down into the town which is really handy as getting a parking space in the town is not easy.
We loved our stay at this cottage and st Ives and we will be back.

Liked: Location
Underwhelming decor and comfort, dissapointing
Great location as I wanted to swim at Porthgwidden easily but the cottage is a little drab and overall not up to the standard I expected. I contacted the owners with details of particular faults but they never responded.

About the host
Hosted by Emma Giddings
Hi we are a family who have holidayed in St Ives for over 20 years and are now very excited to own our first home here. St Ives is our second home and we look forward to welcoming many guests to share our home with us. We make as many trips as we can each year driving all the way from Essex! Now our children are older we spend many a day on Porthmeor Beach Body Boarding as a family come rain or shine! Porthgwidden Beach is another favourite of ours, both of which are a stones throw from 4 St Eia. Location was key for us! We know St Ives very well, have made many friends and contacts over the years and are happy to try and answer any questions you may have. We hope you enjoy St Ives as much as we do, it really is unique!
Why they chose this property
This cottage is perfect for a beach holiday, there are three beautiful beaches that are within 5mins walk of the house, Porthmeor which is a great surfing beach, Porthgwidden which is perfect for families and the Harbour beach which enjoys the views of the town. The location is ideal for families as it is all on the flat, no big hills to climb whilst carrying surfboards! You can even glimpse the sea from the master bedroom!
What makes this property unique
This cottage really is in a fantastic location it is handy for everything. We are within a five minute walk to the Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth museum. There is the local Norway Stores which is handy for day to day groceries and the odd bottle of wine which is again less than a five minute walk. Again it is a five minute walk to the pier which is perfect for late afternoon crabbing. There are a number of excellent restaurants within the town and you can be down on Fore Street within 5minutes walking at a very leisurely pace! It is possible to do a Tesco home delivery for when you arrive which is something that lots of people do.
