Really lovely traditional fishing cottage in old part of St Ives, very close to harbour, several beaches. Cottage is quaint, but had everything we needed. Comfortable and attractive and most enjoyable.
We all really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well after our days exploring St Ives. The cottage has everything you possibly need and the location perfect.
We found this type of cottage quite small. 3 and 4 flights of stairs for quite small bedrooms. Would be very difficult for a family with infant or anyone with leg or back injuries. Washing machine needs to be replaced, after reading the instructions it wasn’t wort the risk of using it. Everything thing was ok but it wasn’t the type of accommodation we would look for again. The host was excellent to communicate with and location is excellent, close to the centre.
I loved the position of 4 St Eia, so close to the beach for a morning swim and to the School of Painting and yet very peaceful at night. Lovely bedlinen, beautifully clean and I had everything I needed. Not five stars due to one or two niggles during my stay which just needed a bit more maintenance/attention. eg TV, taps and there is a lot of going up and down stairs!
Fantastic property, great location, everything you could want from a relaxing and very special stay in beautiful Saint Ives.
Highly recommend this property, would love to stay again for a third time.
Lovely quaint cottage in a perfect location for the beach, shops and restaurants. Our first visit to St Ives but it wont be our last, it really is stunning
Very good cottage in a perfect location, only slight negative would be that it spans 4 floors so was a bit of a pain going upstairs / downstairs but that’s not really a big issue
Great little property, very comfortable and fantastic location
A great little dog friendly property situated with everything you need on the doorstep - beaches, cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops.
Very comfortable and clean. The slight issue we had with the toilet and shower was sorted very swiftly with excellent communication with the owner.
Will have no hesitation in booking to stay here again - thank you for having us!
Totally loved the house, comfortable, beautifully decorated, spotless , all your needs catered for. Location fantastic, thank you for allowing us to stay at your home, a special thanks for at very short notice changing the dates for our stay as we mixed up our months, we would have been devastated to have missed staying in your home. A perfect holiday , perfect house. We will be back.

The property was quiet , clean, homely yet modern , very well equipped kitchen, extremely handy location within short wa short walking distance to the beaches pubs restaurants and shops. Excellent hosts and a lovely welcome pack waiting for us. Four floors were fine for us but if you struggle with stairs might be difficult.we will definitely be booking this gorgeous fisherman's cottage again!
andshops..Exxellent
Beautiful cottage, well decorated and kitchen well-equipped! There was tea/coffee and milk when we arrived to get us through the first morning. The welcome pack was comprehensive.
Coastal location, with 4 beaches reachable in under 10 min walk in any direction. Would absolutely recommend.
We had the most fantastic time in St Ives. We stayed in Andy & Emma’s lovely house for 10 nights in August with our two boys and it was just perfect. The house is very comfortable and the decoration has been very well thought out. The beds were very comfy and it was great to have two shower rooms. The location was fab for the beaches & the town. A big thank you to Karen the housekeeper who was very helpful during our stay. We will definitely be back next year. 🥰
Good property with everything we needed. Right in the heart of St Ives so handy for shops beach and eating out.
No parking, but that is to be expected in St Ives and we were able to park outside to unload on arrival and reload before leaving.
Steep steps on entry and 3 flights of steep stairs to access all floors. Only minus was not much hanging space for clothes. Ok for us as only 2 and used spare bedroom.
Overall good stay

Underwhelming decor and comfort, dissapointing
Great location as I wanted to swim at Porthgwidden easily but the cottage is a little drab and overall not up to the standard I expected. I contacted the owners with details of particular faults but they never responded.

Stay cut short due to noise through the walls
The property is lovely - well decorated, furnished and very clean. We know & love the area but didn’t realise this cottage was back to back or that noise would travel so much. We were extremely unlucky in that there was a particularly noisy group staying behind us but soon discovered that even normal conversation could be heard - they could obviously hear us too as we heard them discussing it! As our stay was for much needed respite and we got very little peace or sleep - and there was obviously nothing we could do to improve the situation we made the hugely disappointing decision to cut the 4 night stay short and left after just one night. We made the owners aware of the issue & our departure at 1pm and even gave them the opportunity to re-let the cottage. However they didn’t respond to us until 8.30 that night and didn’t/couldn’t really say anything other than they could try talking to the owners of the neighbours. This was obviously no help to us and in all honestly wouldn’t prevent normal level noise being heard. I am extremely surprised that no-one else has raised the soundproofing issue so maybe we are particularly sensitive to noise but I do think it is important to make other potential guests aware as if I had seen a review mentioning it I certainly wouldn’t have chosen this cottage. A real shame!
We had a wonderful time. The cottage is lovely and ideally situated. We were able to potter about to our hearts’ content and St Ives has so much to offer. Our host answered our queries quickly and fully. Check in was easy. Well appointed with everything we needed. Thank you for a lovely place to stay.
Hi we are a family who have holidayed in St Ives for over 20 years and are now very excited to own our first home here. St Ives is our second home and we look forward to welcoming many guests to share our home with us. We make as many trips as we can each year driving all the way from Essex! Now our children are older we spend many a day on Porthmeor Beach Body Boarding as a family come rain or shine! Porthgwidden Beach is another favourite of ours, both of which are a stones throw from 4 St Eia. Location was key for us! We know St Ives very well, have made many friends and contacts over the years and are happy to try and answer any questions you may have. We hope you enjoy St Ives as much as we do, it really is unique!
Why they chose this property
This cottage is perfect for a beach holiday, there are three beautiful beaches that are within 5mins walk of the house, Porthmeor which is a great surfing beach, Porthgwidden which is perfect for families and the Harbour beach which enjoys the views of the town. The location is ideal for families as it is all on the flat, no big hills to climb whilst carrying surfboards! You can even glimpse the sea from the master bedroom!
What makes this property unique
This cottage really is in a fantastic location it is handy for everything. We are within a five minute walk to the Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth museum. There is the local Norway Stores which is handy for day to day groceries and the odd bottle of wine which is again less than a five minute walk. Again it is a five minute walk to the pier which is perfect for late afternoon crabbing. There are a number of excellent restaurants within the town and you can be down on Fore Street within 5minutes walking at a very leisurely pace! It is possible to do a Tesco home delivery for when you arrive which is something that lots of people do.
