More than any other town in Cornwall, St. Ives boasts all of those treasures and more. Within walking distance of Bay View are four beautiful golden beaches looking out onto azure blue water. A long time favourite with artists St. Ives is home to the Tate Gallery and many smaller galleries. The train station at St. Ives links with the mainline at St. Erth but many will make the journey to experience the stunning coastal scenery along the line. In town there is an excellent selection of restaurants and pubs offering superb local cuisine and foods for all tastes and budgets. Stretching out from St. Ives you can walk for miles along the Coastal Path. So if you want to enjoy all that St. Ives has to offer there is no need to move your car. Bay view is located in a quiet residential location just 10 minutes walk from the main town and beaches. If you are feeling lazy you can always take the small town bus which stops just outside. Next door to Bay View is a very well stocked local store for all your provisions. The nearest large supermarket (Tesco) is on the outskirts of town a few minutes drive away. Bay View has been designed as an upside down house (bedrooms downstairs, living accommodation upstairs) to take in the views of the ocean and provide a wonderful open plan social space, incorporating kitchen, lounge, dining and kids corner, a room where everyone can be together and enjoy the ambience of this special space. With vaulted ceiling, exposed beams windows to three sides and 8 remote controlled Velux windows the room is light and inviting. When the sun goes down the Lutro remote control lighting system creates the mood you choose for your evening’s entertainment.
Front drive with parking for two cars (one blocks the other in). Pod Point 3S 7kw car charger with universal Type 2 untethered socket. Please bring your own charging cable (and adaptor if needed).

Absolutely brilliant property! Love the upside down house..plenty of space, clean, tidy and lots of equipment in the kitchen..was such a good 3 days and hosts were prompt at replying to questions..
We would like to thank Michael and Eileen for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home. After the journey from hell to get there it was nice to unwind and chill in a very spacious and well equipped home.
The house is beautiful. It was very clean and exactly as described. Onsite parking is essential in St Ives as car parks get full very quickly, It is a hill down to the beach but you quickly get used to the short walk.
Communication with the hosts was great. Check in etc was very efficient and the welcome folder had lots of useful info, the wifi was good too. We have three teenagers and the extra bathroom was very welcome, as was the overall spaciousness of the whole house. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. The whole space is clean, comfortable and 'everything works'. Even with the dismal weather we had, we were warm and it was easy to spend time in the house. I bet the outside private garden is great in Summer for BBQs and outdoor meals or just a cuppa in thr morning, though the views from upstairs are great too. The Spar is literally next door and the Coop just down the road. It is a steep walk into town, but that's true for all of St Ives (recommend A1 Taxis if you can't face the walk back at the end of the evening). We had such a lovely break for February half term, everywhere we went was busy enough to have atmosphere but nowhere too crowded. We could have spent much longer there.
Warm, light and clean. We really enjoyed the living/dining/kitchen upstairs. Even on a wet day it was bright and cosy. The ensuite bathroom was really clean and had a great shower with good pressure.
This was the second time I have stayed here as it is such a fantastic house in a great location.

Fantastic week in St Ives. House was spotlessly clean, plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 kids. Hosts were friendly, hugely accommodating and responsive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great base in St Ives.

Lovely stay in St Ives with the family August 2023, the property was perfect for us and we did spend 3 nights eating in after full days on the beach which were made very relaxing by the open plan upstairs layout of bayview. Would 100% recommend the property.
We had the best stay at Bay View. The house is lovely and was clean and tidy. It felt like home away from home with everything you need and more. The location is superb. Michael and Eileen are the best hosts and we will definitely stay in Bay View again whenever we go back to St. Ives.

Bay view is an stunning place to stay that we would recommend to everybody visiting st ives, the house is spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped to a very high standard.

BAY VIEW is the place to stay people .
Everything about this VRBO was perfect for our needs. For us, the ability to easily park our rental car was paramount. Views of the Bay, ample space, access to a functional kitchen, whirlpool tub, proximity to a convenience store, short walk to downtown, washer/dryer, hairdryer, and a beautiful selection of local prints all combined to make this our best VRBO experience ever.
The property was excellent. Clean and bright. Brilliant location. Didn’t need to use my car at all as we could easily walk down to st Ives centre and the beaches.
Modern clean and spacious house within walking distance of the town
We were very pleased when we arrived, everything was ready for us, communication from the owners was brilliant, and the house is truly lovely! Bedrooms are downstairs with an open plan living room upstairs which caters for all your needs. One word of warning - the hill down to the town is quite steep, however after walking down we had no problem finding a taxi to take us back which only cos about 5. Would definitely book again if we return to St Ives
