Beautiful location with excellent amenities! The house is only a five-minute walk from hiking/biking trails and the Mountain Park Ranch community center on Thunderhill place (see link below). The community center has tennis courts, beach volleyball, a pool, a hot tub, and a playground for the kids! Also, the property itself has a large backyard with a wonderful fenced in pool area. Additionally, the backyard has a spacious patio with a seating area and a stainless steel bbq along with a fire pit. Moreover, the property is only two minutes from the Monte Vista playground that has open fields, basketball courts, and more. If you're looking for a fun night, the house is only a five-minute drive from the WildHorse Pass Casino. It is also only a five-minute drive to the local movie theater and the highway (I-10). There are several places to eat nearby and the grocery store is only about a two-minute drive.

As for the interior, the house consists of four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The two full baths are extremely spacious and one offers a large jacuzzi tub with jets. There are granite countertops all throughout the house and plenty of storage space (ex. ample closet and cabinet room). The kitchen is fully equipped and has a good view of the backyard so as to have the ability to look after the little ones from kitchen window. There is also complimentary high-speed wifi and the tv in the living room as well as in the master bedroom has the capability for netflix, hulu, AmazonPrime, exc. The garage is a three car gargage with room for two cars, while the third space is utilized as a basic home gym.

Great Experience

We had a great experience at this home! The house was a perfect fit for our family. Everyone in our group kept commenting about how clean the house is! Communicating with Carla was great - she always responded to my questions quickly. We are already planning our next trip to the area, and will definitely be staying here again!

Phoenix Trip

The property was very nice, clean and comfortable for our family but the shower in the Master Bath was very small. The weather did not allow us to use the outdoor space or pool unfortunately as it was a large space and the pool looked nice.The property backs up to a school so early morning was a little noisy with kids and bells.

Beautiful and Comfortable Family Home

My husband, our daughter (2), my mom and I stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. We felt right at home when we checked in. We went to the grocery store right down the road and bought groceries for the week and were able to really relax and enjoy ourselves in this beautiful family home. There is a lot of space so we didnt feel like we were all on top of each other. It was so nice to let our daughter play in the private spacious back yard and not have to worry about her running into the street, and the pool is gated off which was also great. It felt like a home away from home, and we would absolutely stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area.

Great house in a great location

This was our second time staying in this wonderful home. The house has everything you need and a lovely yard. The location is perfect. Carla is a fabulous host. She ensures that anything you might notice, outdoor timer lights not functioning or anything at all is fixed immediately. The house has everything you need to be comfortable, drawer space in bedrooms, hangers, large closets, all the kitchen utensils, everything you need and two living spaces, plus a nice outdoor space. The location is walking distance to the best mountain in Phoenix, South Mountain. We stayed for 6 weeks and were very comfortable. Strongly recommend this property!

Great location, relaxing retreat!

We stayed here for three nights while visiting family. It met all our expectations and beyond. We brought our 8 months old baby and to our surprise there was a stroller that we used to take him on a walk around the neighborhood. High chair was listed but we couldn’t find it. Inquiry to this resulted in quick friendly response; despite that we still couldn’t find it, however we were traveling with portable chair so it wasn’t a big deal. You could tell the owners take good care of the place; things are organized, clean and labeled for your convenience. Backyard with the fenced pool was a treat on a hot day. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Wunderschönes Haus mit Pool am Park

Nahe eines Wüstenparks gelegen befindet sich dieses liebevoll dekorierte Haus in einer Sackgasse einer hübschen Wohngegend. Das Haus hat sehr schöne Räumlichkeiten und einen tollen Garten mit Pool. Auch der Community-Pool war gut erreichbar. Wir waren begeistert vom Flair und den liebevollen Details und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Im Garten nisteten Kolibris, was uns besonders gut gefiel. Im nicht geheizten Pool waren wir trotzdem. Das Klavier ist allerdings verstimmt, für diejenigen, die es vielleicht wirklich nutzen möchten.

Home away from home

The property was perfect and Carla, the host, was very responsive. Also, the location of the house was great! Just a short walk to the South Mountain Preserve which was perfect for our morning walks.

Very Comfortable with a great yard.

The property was extremely clean and ready for my family to enjoy our vacation. The homeowner did a great job having everything ready for us. It was the small details that set this property apart from others we have stayed at. The only thing I would put on a wish list for this property is for the pool to be heated.

Great Stay!

This property deserves nothing but 5 star reviews, starting with the property owner. Carla is extremely attentive. She responds promptly, courteously, and professionally. The home is impeccably maintained. The location is wonderful in a very nice, safe neighborhood only a 5 minute walk from the South Mountain Preserve with a plethora of hiking, walking, and biking trails. If you are looking for paved places to walk, this is a great neighborhood for that as well. The house looks better in person than It does in the pictures. The home is very comfortable and is a true home, with everything you would ever need. The beds are comfy, the sheets 100% cotton, and the towels thick and fluffy. The house was immaculate. We didn’t need to worry about wiping things down due to Covid, everything was so clean. Carla provides everything you need to truly live in the house as your home away from home. She details everything you need to know about the home and the area in the welcome binder, and the kitchen cabinets and drawers are labeled so you know where everything is. The office was perfect for my husband to work in with a good quality desk chair. The outside is also great. One of the largest backyards in the area with plenty of seating. The pool not being heated wasn’t really a problem. You can sit outside and relax in the sun, dipping your feet (or whole self) in the pool if you get hot. If you are a lap swimmer, the heated jr Olympic size pool is only a 2 mile drive away. We truly enjoyed our month-long stay, my husband, 82-years-old mother, myself and our daughter at ASU who stayed with us on weekends. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect Spring Break!

LOVED the location of this home. Close to stores, restaurants AND hiking trails!! The school in the back yard didn't bother us at all- in fact my kids thought it was neat. Carla was always very accessible and responded quickly when we needed something. Although we are from MI and used to cold (72-75 degree) pool water, we ended up using the community pool as the pool at the house was FREEZING! ( I would say high 60s). We knew going into it the home pool wasn't heated, so we can't complain. All in all it was a perfect vacation for our family. It was a pleasure doing business with Carla and will most definitely be visiting again!!! -The Fletchers

Spacious, Comfortable with a great Backyard

We have been staying at VRBO properties for over 15 years. This is very good one. We spent 16 days in February visiting family in the neighborhood. It is spacious, nicely furnished, and comfortable. Both the living room and family room are large and inviting. The back yard was notably well maintained and attractive, although February was too cool to use the pool. Carla is an excellent host, quick to respond to the (few) glitches we found. The kitchen/dining room was good sized and reasonably well equipped although there was some clutter (e.g. outdated condiments in the refrigerator). The cookware was of excellent quality, but because they were stored in various different cupboards they were hard to discover initially. Ahwatukee is a very good area with plenty of grocery stores and shopping centers, although there is also lots of rush hour traffic. We expect to visit our family again and hope to stay at Carla’s place then. Note: this two-story house has separate thermostats and both can be adjusted to keep comfortable.

Would not recommend this VRBO as a place to stay

Would not recommend this place, bedrooms all on the second level, stair rail was extremely loose and unsafe, carpets needed cleaning, upstairs master bath shower was extremely small and the inside of the home was full of clutter. Pool area is next to a school play ground.

Great Place

Really enjoyed the house, the service from Carla the property manager, and the pool. The house has a great layout and the owners have filled it with everything you need on a trip. My wife really loved all the magazines. The pool is fantastic. It is not heated though, but being from Wisconsin, we were swimming no mater what the water temperature was.

Super clean, beautiful, well organized VRBO home.

The owner quickly responded to our questions regarding the home. This is a model how VRBO should be rented. There is a detailed home guide walking you through the workings of the home. The backyard is spacious and well maintained. Biking and running on the Preserve and the city trail system was easily accessible.

Welcoming warm home

We really enjoyed our stay at this very clean welcoming home. We loved the location (hiking, golf, restaurants, shopping, movies all within 10 minutes but tucked away from all that Ahwatukee traffic) and the backyard pool and the home was well-equipped with evertyhing we needed including plenty of pool towels and cooking utensils! There was plenty of space for our family of 5, comfy beds (even the office hide-a-bed with the pilowtop mattress topper), nice linens and a beautiful, lush backyard with palm trees and gorgeous flowering bird of paradise bushes! We didn't use the community pools or tennis courts but they looked nice when we drove by. Carla was very responsive for any question and was easy and pleasant to work with. I would have given this property 5 stars if the patio misters would have been working on those hot August days and if we could have used the gas grill on the patio (the propane tank was empty). Otherwise, it was a great place with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We will definitely go back to this property again if we are visiting the Phoenix area.

I loved the desert so much; After graduating from ASU, I made the Valley my home. I have two girls: far left and right, in the picture above. We rented a place out in the desert when my sister visited us from Virginia! We're always looking for opportunities to hike or mountain bike! Phoenix is a hidden gem!!! My husband and I are now empty nesters and live in Arcadia. We stay at our Ahwatukee home several times as the hiking and mountain biking right out of the front door are priceless!!!

This property has it all! It has been decorated with lots of love to give all who stay a sense of tranquility and convenience! We have a nice collection of books in the cozy yet spacious back patio! Overseeing the beautiful lawn, water fountain feature, and colorful plants! My favorite thing to do! Read a book with a nice cup of tea!
In "literally" 2 minutes from the front door, you can be at one of the many trail-heads that give you access to the vast South Mountain National Trail. Fantastic mountain biking as well as hiking! Beautiful wildlife!
A two-minute drive takes you to the famous Premium Outlet Stores - Lots of great finds in a fun environment!
