– Sleeps 6 in a king and queen size bed, queen can split into 2 singles. Attic room has quality double sofa bed. The king room is ensuite and the queen has the family bathroom adjacent to it. In the top floor attic room, there are doors opening onto a balcony with seating/sofabed where you can watch the sunset and the boats go by. There is a laundry room on the first floor and an additional toilet on the ground floor. This has been adapted as a wet room for sandy toes and muddy paws. The kitchen on the ground floor is fully equipped with utensils, induction hob, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. It is open plan with the dining and living room, which has a wood burner and smart TV with DVD player. Both the dining and garden table have space for up to 6. The garden is to the side of the house along the path up some steps. Uninterrupted views of the Dart, with garden room and outside furniture. Short breaks welcome outside high season, some periods with NHS discount. Parking is nearby in Dart Marina Car Park (RINGGO) a short walk from the property and some street parking may also be available. Guests pay for parking in car park at all times. One small dog is welcome, extra charge. All bed linen included, towels - small extra charge. Kingswear has 2 pubs, shops, wine bar and cafes. From the property, you can catch the ferry just five minutes’ walk away to Dartmouth for restaurants, and both boutique and high-street shops such as Jack Wills, Fat Face and Joules. The ferry accommodates vehicles and passengers. From here you can visit Dartmouth castle, stunning Blackpool Sands and Slapton beach. Salcombe is a 30-40 minute drive, a lovely location with a National Trust property. A boat trip or the steam train will take you to Agatha Christie’s Greenway, Totnes or Paignton. You can also visit the quaint National Trust house Coleton Fishacre and do multiple coastal walks. There is opportunity to hire canoes or stand-up paddle boards & kayaks on the river. Very clean property with lovely views, & adjacent garden. Comfortable beds, efficient heating & hot water, great showers. Parking a brisk 5 min walk to the marina & a stone’s throw from the ferry to cross to Dartmouth. Excellent dining opportunities nearby. Quite steep steps to climb up or down to the house. Wendy, very helpful though out. We were completely spoilt with the weather but irrespective, a great place to stay

A fabulous place to stay!

We were looking for a quality property and Morocco House did not disappoint. The house is beautifully kept, we had everything we needed; we were very comfortable. The views across to Dartmouth and beyond from every window are stunning. The location is perfect, just down the steps to the little ferry and the railway station. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Wonderful house - probably the best we’ve ever stayed in

A beautiful home with quality furnishings - we loved it! Excellent communication from the owner. We had a wonderful time exploring the area - the ferry makes trips back and forth to Dartford so easy. Be sure to visit the Seahorse restaurant and Kents Caverns - and a walk along the coastal path from the house offers some breathtaking views.

We had the most fantastic 3 night stay at Morocco House. The property was absolutely perfect for our needs, was so beautifully appointed and had everything we could possibly need. The property was spotless, the beds were very comfy, the garden was magical and the views from every aspect were glorious! It couldn't have been more convenient for the ferry, too. A beautiful, relaxing stay between Christmas and New Year. The house was decorated just right. We've visited now during three seasons and each has proved wonderful. With crazy weather, it was terrific to have the ferries so close. I love going round the house looking at the pictures, ornaments and soft furnishings. Awesome Holiday

We loved the location, overlooking Dartmouth which is stunning day and night. Take care with any Google directions and just stick to the main road. Avoid coming off the main road via Higher Street, alongside The Ship Inn - as we did! Accommodation is perfect and the ferry just a short walk away takes you straight into Dartmouth.

We had a lovely stay at Morocco House. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely. Everything smelt new and fresh. There was everything available in the kitchen to suit our needs and we loved all of the little sea themed ornaments. A really well planned/thought out holiday home. We would definitely stay again. This house was fantastic for our family holiday. It was very clean and had lovely furnishings and decor. The location was perfect with superb views from every window. We only used the care twice during our stay. We would definitely book this house again. The only consideration is access to the property as there are steps to it but once you get up the steps the views are amazing.

This is a beautiful property in a stunning location. The house is immaculate and beautifully furnished with everything you could need. The location is really convenient for the parking and the ferries across to Dartmouth, although there are quite a few steps involved. Wendy the host was very helpful and the level of information supplied was excellent. Overall we had a lovely stay in this wonderful house and would recommend it whole heartedly.

Wonderful Break

Fantastic property looking across the Dart to Dartmouth. 25 second walk to either passenger ferry or ‘lower’ car ferry. Very clean and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you could wish for. Such good communications and particularly helpful sorting out car parking tickets for us in advance of our arrival. I cannot recommend this enough.

What a gem!!

We've just spent the most wonderful week in Morocco House! Wendy was very helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. The house was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything needed for our stay. The views are amazing, with the added bonus of a little garden with garden room offering great views of the Dart. A Great Stay

A wonderful property with stunning views. Very clean with all the amenities you need. Good communication with Wendy for check in. Easy access to Dartmouth on the ferry 30 seconds from the doorstep. Got to know alot of the local business owners at the coffee shop, post office, cafe, Italian wine bar and The Ship Inn, all very friendly and welcoming. A great walk behind the house through the woods and along the coast. Would definitely hope to return. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place.

Lovely stay at Morocco House, the kitchen/diner had everything you need and is a good space if you wish to prepare and have meals. There are good places to eat out in Dartmouth and Kingswear. It was lovely to return to after a busy day, we loved the views of the river and looking at all the boats, so relaxing. The coast path is a great walk and you can do as little or as much as you like, the Castle at Dartmouth is worth a visit and really all of the South Hams is beautiful with so much to do. We do hope to return soon. Paul

Wonderful property, beautifully decorated with lovely touches making it comfortable and welcoming. Everything you need is provided, comfy beds and modern bathrooms. The views are just amazing from every window and the garden is a great place to relax whilst watching the myriad of boats go by. Kingswear has a lovely village atmosphere and the ferry is close so you can visit Dartmouth for shops, cafes restaurants and by car you can get to the stunning beach at Blackpool sands and many more places such as Bigbury and Bantham. You can take a boat trip to Greenway, Agatha Christie's summer home, and Brixham and Torbay are within easy reach too. There is so much to do we will have to return

Stunning

A perfect retreat. Views to die for and the house is extremely well equipped with everything you might need. Ferry great fun and just down the steps from the house. You will not be disappointed if you book this property, we are already thinking of coming back. Absolutely loved it.

We are Mark, Wendy & Ellie and we live on Dartmoor in Devon with our hens and ducks and a converted barn for holidays. We had owned holiday cottages in a nearby village for 12 years, then took a break to bring up our daughter. We also had the opportunity to purchase property in Rock, Cornwall which are successful as holiday rentals. We have now had the amazing opportunity to purchase Morocco House, with its stunning views and complements our other properties. It has a 'home from home' feel which is important so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. We have added things we have collected over the years to make it feel homely for our guests. If you wish to plan a two centre holiday we aim to provide short breaks at different locations except in high season.
The South Hams is a special place as you will discover. Try Cornwall as another place to visit moortoseacottages

Why they chose this property

Simply stunning location with everything close at hand. It is on the South West coast path for amazing walks, with beaches nearby and many towns and villages to visit. National Trust properties to explore or just sit in the garden and watch the river 'traffic'. Dartmouth across the ferry provides and abundance of shops, restaurants, museums and places of interest. The steam train from Kingswear takes you to Paignton (beach stop along the way) and boat trips on the river to Greenway (Agatha Christie) or to historic Totnes. The highlight of the year is the Dartmouth Regatta, with street markets, river races, fun activities and fireworks, usually last week in August.
