Located directly on a private beach at Clinton Beach (91Shore Road, "Mairzy Doats Cottage").**9 ROOM WATERFRONT COTTAGE, situated on a LARGE PRIVATE BEACH only steps away from Long Island Sound! If you're looking for a summer home with character, cleanliness and enchantment, then this is the one for you! WE HAVE THE COTTAGE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. THE BEACH IS PRIVATE SO SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL NOT BE A PROBLEM! Don't crowd your family and friends into one of those tiny houses on a multi-cottage, shared beach. We have one of the larger sandy beach front properties. Walk out the front door and just a few steps onto your own beach and put your toes in the sand! You can leave your toys and towels and beach umbrella while you return to relax on your very own LARGE SCREENED-IN PORCH. STELLAR VIEWS! Enjoy the ocean vistas day and night with wonderful sunrises. "The summer winds came blowing in, from across the sea." Open Dining/living room area with spectacular ocean views from a huge picture window and sliding glass door to a screened in porch. Fully equipped kitchen for preparing your seaside meals (no dishwasher or washer, dryer). Kitchen has a small eat in area. Also has a walk-in pantry.**6 BEDROOMS located upstairs on 2nd floor, 4 double beds and 2 with twins beds (not handicapped accessible). One and a half bathrooms. Full bath downstairs and half bath upstairs. Flat screen smart TV with cable and DVD player. WIFI ready for your convenience. There are air conditioners in five of the bedrooms (window units). Also, there are fans available when there isn't an ocean breeze. Outside shower (for rinsing off/cold water only). On the beach we provide a gas grill & picnic table with beach umbrella and chairs. Sorry, no pets allowed. Parking for 2 cars with suggestions for additional parking if needed. Minimum of weekly rentals only, Saturday to Saturday. Check in is at 3:00p.m and check out is at 11:00a.m. This cottage is conveniently located near stores and restaurants and nearby attractions! Have fun on the sand, in the ocean, or relaxing on the porch. A perfect place for a memorable vacation at the shore!

Great Beach Cottage!

My family and I loved staying at this cottage. Plenty of rooms and was very clean. My kids appreciated the WIFI and TV! I loved the closed in porch and spent a lot of time there reading, enjoying a glass of wine and watching the boats on the ocean. We had our own private beach and the comforts of home!

Great beach house

Spacious with plenty of bedrooms. It was very clean and had a good kitchen for preparing meals. The hostess Linda was lovely and helpful. Our own beach right outside the large porch area was perfect for us with the current social distancing. Lots of crabbing, swimming, walks on the beach. The kids love it!

Absolutely perfect!

We had an amazing week in this cottage! We were a group of 8 and the house had enough space for everyone to be comfortable. Linda is so sweet and very helpful. We couldn’t be happier. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch just relaxing and listening to the waves. There is a gas grill outside which we utilized quite a few times. The location is perfect. Only a few minutes from grocery store and shops. Many great seafood restaurants in the area. If you love the beach, jump on this rental. You will never want to leave!!

A week in paradise

From the minute you walk through the front door, you are drawn in with the site of the beautiful ocean, through the large bay window next to the large sliding glass doors. Through the doors you enter a full sized back porch all screened in, just steps to the water in this well equiped, clean, rustic beach home. Our week was blessed with beautiful warm weather to enjoy every minute of our vacation. The owners of the house Linda & Tom were available for anything that may be needed and full of information about the area. They are the best Hosts and were very warm and inviting. We had a great time and we're hoping to return in the future.

Don’t even hesitate; book it!

Linda and Tom are such gracious hosts! Everything about this property is top notch. The pictures don’t do it justice. You walk in the house and a huge picture window with the ocean on the other side greets you. The back porch is as good as it gets; breezy, water view, couches, chairs, pillows, and a puzzle/game table with 3 chairs. In the morning, sit with your coffee and watch all the ocean wildlife catch their breakfast. The kitchen does the job for all meals. The bedrooms upstairs are clean and beds are comfortable. We can’t wait to be back next summer!

Right on the water with a very private beach; beautiful

The cottage had a wonderful screened in porch overlooking the private beach. There was a great picnic table with unique bench seating that allowed eight people to slide into their own seat. We used the grill a lot and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The cottage was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The private beach is wonderful, water access is smooth rocks so if you have water shoes that is helpful. Internet access was available and strong. Loved our stay!!

Great vacation great place

There were seven us and it was very important that we were located on the beach, this house is right on the beach. We spent hours on the beach and enjoying the back porch that is screened in. It is very close to restaurants and supermarkets. We hardly left because we were enjoying it so much. The house was roomy and very accommodating. We had no complaints, Tom and Linda were very helpful if we had any questions. We would highly recommend this house! Thanks Tom and Linda for allowing us to stay there.

Had a great time!

Had a great time at this rustic cottage on the shore. The owners were very down to earth and personable. The cottage is reminiscent of grandmas house. Some vintage furnishings and wonky floors made it interesting and fun. The beach is all your own and we enjoyed that as well as a fire out under the stars at night. I would recommend this cottage highly. One note would be that there are a few different levels. ( step- down into a bathroom). An extra step- landing at the bottom of the stairs that may be difficult for some to maneuver. Seven of us had a memorable vacation.

Great Location and house for our group of 8.

The house is exactly what are group was hoping for in a beach cottage. As we didn't want to feel like we were at home but were staying at the beach. Obviously, it sits directly on a Sandy beach. It happens to have a larger plot of sand than the surrounding houses. Inside, is clean and comfortable. It fit 8 adults in the bedrooms comfortably and the dining space was more than ample for inside or outside seating. As it is the CT shoreline, to really enjoy the water I highly recommend water shoes to navigate in low tide. The owner was very accommodating and made sure to check on our comfort as we settled in. Although it states parking for a couple of cars we had four cars park in the lot most of the stay. As long as you don't take multiple trips in and out it should suffice or there is optional parking in the area.

My husband and I are both retired. I retired from teaching. My husband worked in construction and has taught at a training school. We take pride in providing our guests a well maintained clean cottage. We will be available during your stay. We strive to accommodate all of your vacation needs.
For your information, my husband and I stay in a small cottage behind the rental cottage (street side). We are here on and off during the summer. We rarely use the beach when the cottage is rented.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is located on a private sandy beach. It has a large screened in porch with spectacular ocean views. Have fun in the sand and in the ocean or relaxing on the porch. The cottage is located on a flat road which is good for walking, jogging, skateboarding, rollerblading and biking with ocean views. It is close to many fine restaurants (seafood, Italian, Chinese, Mexican). Nearby grocery stores, banks, and library.
Also many interesting attractions are in the area such as outlet shopping, casinos, steam train and river boat ride, fishing boat excursions, winery tours, scenic drives, movie theaters, playground and antiquing. A perfect place for a family vacation at the shore!!
