Stylish house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and one half bathroom, large living room and kitchen. Heated pool 4x10 m in a private walled in garden. House is fully renovated - old charm preserved. Altogether about 200 square meters. All amenities, laundry, dryer, dishwasher etc. Facilities for 8 people. Services in the village include small supermarket, pharmacy, post office, bakery, doctors office, cigarette shop, bar etc. Close to beaches (La Rochelle some 1hr 15 min away by car, Paris 2,5 hours away by fast train). Less than 100 km to Bordeaux.

This house is exceptional. The outside area is particularly lovely, the pool a dream. We had everything we needed, spending evenings cooking in the kitchen room which overlooks the garden and pool area was relaxing and eating outdoors equally pleasant. Communication with the host was probably the best we have experienced after many stays across Europe, she was more than helpful. Nearby we made trips to Angoulême, Saintes, Royan ( a must for the architecture) and Niort. We can thoroughly recommend.

Perfect holiday home

A wonderful holiday home, beautifully modernised and renovated, everything you could ever need is catered for - even down to bluetooth speakers (x3), yoga mats, air conditioning in two rooms (though house very cool in July), and the fridge has ice machine and ice cold water. Plus comfy beds, great pool and stunning courtyard. So much space. Boulangerie 100 metres away. Best holiday house we've ever had in France. And Erika is lovely. (and Colin Debbie who meet you and show you around. Highly recommended.

Merveilleuse Maison

La maison est dans un petit village calme avec une boulangerie, une epicerie et une pharmacie. La cour est fermée et grande. La piscine est immense et magnifique et très ensoleillée. La maison est magnifique, grande, tres bien décorée avec goût, tres pratique avec une grange aménagée parfaite pour les soirées jeux en famille. Tout est pensé pour notre confort avec les lits prêts, les serviettes et les torchons. Nous sommes ravis de notre sejour et nous reviendrons.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au calme, et bien profité de la piscine. Le gîte est très bien rénové et équipé. Relaxing family break

We had a lovely two weeks. The house was so comfortable, well-equipped and tastefully furnished and decorated. We enjoyed the pool and the peace and quiet. First chance we have had to go abroad since the pandemic, and this was just what we needed. The pool and outside area was perfect. Communication was excellent and lovely to meet Debbie and Colin who couldn't have been more helpful. We like to explore different parts of France when we visit, so have never returned to the same place, but I would happily stay in this house again if we are visiting the area. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Wonderful property

A delightful home, impeccably kept. We wanted for nothing. The pool was glorious and perfect for a quiet getaway to recharge. Erica was easy to contact and Colin and Debbie very helpful. We will be back!

Heerlijk genoten!

Grote schone geweldige woning in een rustig dorp. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Veel privacy. Heerlijk verwarmd zwembad. Perfect werkende WIFI voor de tieners. En airco op twee van de vier slaapkamers. Uitgebreide keuken en was gelegenheid. Grote garage erbij waar je wat in kwijt kan. Dorpje zelf is heel stil dus als je komt voor rust en totale ontspanning is dit een perfecte locatie. Wij hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad en wij zijn prettig ontvangen. We zouden zeker weer eens terug gaan. Gezin met twee tieners.

Séjour agréable dans un village charentais

Debbie et Colin, adorables, nous ont accueillies fort gentiment ! Ici, le must, c’est la piscine entourée de cyprès ! La maison, de par sa situation géographique, nous permet d’effectuer de belles visites : Saintes, Cognac, etc… L’équipement de la maison est assez complet. Nous aurions aimé utiliser une cafetière plus adaptée au nombre de locataires, des poëles et une planche à repasser en bon état. Les salles de bain sont tout à fait bien équipées et le linge mis à disposition ne manque pas. Un petit bémol concernant le couchage : certains lits sont très très hauts !!!

Heerlijk huis met zalig zwembad… aanrader !!

Heerlijk verblijf in de mooie Charente streek. Het huis is mooi en met smaak ingericht. Alles wat je nodig hebt is ter beschikking, gewoon geweldig. Het zwembad is fantastisch ! Zeer verzorgd en zalig dat het verwarmd is zodat je ook op minder warme dagen kan zwemmen. Erika is zeer vlot, en makkelijk bereikbaar en als goede gastvrouw in de weer met het welzijn van haar gasten. Ook de contactpersoon ter plaatse is zeer vriendelijk en staat klaar als er een probleem is. Wij hebben heel hard genoten en kom n graag terug !

Stunning house/location

We spent two wonderful weeks in the “Maison des deux sisters”. Ideally located, away from the hustle and bustle of coastal towns, ideal for those who are looking for peacefulness and tranquility, but nevertheless not far from La Rochelle, l'Île de Ré, l'Île d'Oléron and even Bordeaux. It was the vacation of discovery. The discovery of a region very rich in culture and gastronomy, and very relaxing at the same time in an exceptional setting. The house, which has been completely renovated, is modern and functional and tastefully decorated. Absolutely nothing is missing. The private swimming pool is just splendid with its bluish-gray “liner” showing the most beautiful effect and without any vis-à-vis. We all have enjoyed it greatly. The owner is extremely friendly, very helpful, and attentive. We had a very minor issue which was resolved immediately, a lovely person. Colin, the English caretaker, was also great, very available, relaxed, and discreet. All in all a dream vacation, a fabulous house, a beautiful location, we will be rebooking for sure.

Fabulous property in a beautiful part of France. Very well appointed and the pool was perfect. A much higher standard than a lot of rentals. Can’t wait to go back.
