About this property

Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403 | Oceanfront, Pool!

Entering this beachfront condo is like arriving at a birthday party. Stripes, streamers, and bright artwork abound! Glorious sunrises await you on the long balcony, while fun and comfort lie within.

The opposite of the generic "beach house" design, Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403 has been decorated and furnished with a whimsical artist's eye that shows in every pleasing pastel color, every swirl and furbelow in the condo! This fourth-floor oceanfront condo in an elevator building is as individual and beautifully appointed as anyone could wish, and just walking from room to room will lighten your spirits and bring a smile to your lips.

Chances are, the first place you'll want to see in this condo is the balcony, which runs the length of the property and features a bistro table and chairs as well as loungers. You get a panoramic view of the beach and ocean here, not to mention those amazing sky changes. The kidney-shaped swimming pool, available for your use throughout your stay, is also right below -- handy for older kids and teens, who can be watched by their parents from the balcony and then summoned home with a quick yodel!

The balcony at Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403 is so alluring that you will want to bring the view indoors with you . . . and luckily, thanks to an entire wall of sliding glass doors, you can do just that! Visible from the living room, dining area, kitchen, and even the primary bedroom when the curtains are open, this million-dollar vista is ever-changing and always beautiful. It will probably be what you remember most about your Jacksonville adventures!

When it's time to come indoors, the living room is cheery and comfortable, a charming finale to a Florida day. Cabana stripes, a swimmer mural, and interesting artwork make this room a stimulating place to gather. (The multicolored giraffe can be your spirit animal!) The sofa also opens up to a full size bed, perfect for the occasional overnight guest. The kids will love it, and you may find yourself remembering why time at the beach is always more relaxing than other vacations. Something about those balmy breezes, bright colors, and wide-open spaces, perhaps?

There's a big TV in the living room, with cable, and you have free WiFi at Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403. But you may find yourself reaching for more old-fashioned entertainment, from a round of Cranium to good old Go Fish. Get out paper and markers, cards and blocks, and have some silly fun as you sprawl on the big, soft sectional couch. Downtime can be the most fun part of the whole trip!

And while your creative juices are flowing, step into the kitchen and whip up some drinks and snacks. You will find this galley kitchen completely stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, and all those nifty gadgets that make preparing meals more fun. Just bring a bag of groceries and you're good to go -- the spotless appliances and gleaming counters await you. On the run to your next Florida adventure? Turn on the coffeemaker, pop some waffles into the toaster, and be on your way in minutes!

Or, if you choose to dine in, pull out the table between kitchen and living room and enjoy a family meal beneath a cluster of interesting pictures. There's always something new to see at Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403, and our table makes a good place for drawing and journaling as well as setting up the old laptop and getting a little work done.

When it's time for bed, everyone in your party will be delighted with the sleeping arrangements. Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403 has two bedrooms, one with a king and the other a queen size bed. The primary has a big flat-screen right at eye level for late-night viewing, as well as an ensuite bath with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom is a warm ocean-themed space, with merry fish, lemony yellow walls, and a big comfy bed. It shares the second full bathroom with the living areas at Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403 and includes both a shower and tub option.

Beach vacations are all about getting sandy and spilling ice cream, so you'll love the stacked washer and dryer at Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403. All linens and towels are provided too, plus extra pillows and blankets. Pack light and don't worry about a thing. If you forgot it, chances are you'll find it at this condo!

Jacksonville Beachdrifter 403 is in a small complex with convenient off-street parking and a nice boardwalk onto the sand. You are right on the edge of the Atlantic here, with seabirds wheeling past, shorebirds making footprints in the wet sand, and plenty of open beach for sandcastle building, kite flying, and bocce ball playing. You're going to love it here! Reserve your stay now!

Great location Cozy Comfortable
This was perfect for us we enjoyed the sunrise on the porch and evening chats on the couch overlooking the beach. It had everything we needed but we had issues figuring out the internet I sent a message and didn’t hear back. We just used our hot spot on phones to access our computer WiFi to make plans etc. it was simple and yet had all we needed for thanksgiving on the beach. We walked to places around which was nice. There was ample parking. Bed was comfortable and we loved hearing the waves with the screen to porch open all night. We didn’t use the pool it was too cold outside. The fees are expensive more than the cost of the rental. It was quiet colorful and cozy. Well stocked kitchen. I would feel safe here alone if I weren’t with my husband and may return for a solo trip. Normally we stay in a different home on the beach but this will definitely be my back up in the future. It would be my first choice but the fees make it not as affordable.

JAX403
The property was as advertised with so many beautiful decorating touches. The balcony was so close to the ocean and the perfect weather helped make it a wonderful time. The place was very clean and no problems whatsoever. We appreciated the outdoor furniture on the balcony and also the chairs for the beach. The kitchen was well furnished (but you need a new toaster.)

Do Not Stay Here
I have 116 photos of the issues with this rental. The photos on the VRBO website look nothing like the actual rental. The rental was dirty, mold on the walls, filthy carpets, and it smelled bad. We had door lock issues and nobody from VRBO, the owner or the building maintenance ever called us back. My husbands fixed the door himself. We actually left a day early. We couldn't take it anymore. We did NOT enjoy our stay in this unit. Definitely NOT work the money I spent to stay here. I even had to pay a cleaning fee that the place was filthy!! I have many photos of it all if you'd like me to share them. If I don't have a response from this, my family, friends and I will never use VRBO again. Absolutely terrible experience.

Several issues
Pool bathroom padlocked at all times. Had to use our unit bathroom. INCONVENIENT! Construction debris in pool from roofers. Couldn’t use the pool at all. Reserved parking space was taken by construction materials, we had to park a 2nd car down 3 blocks. Beds are absolutely the worst. Throw them out! No hooks to hang wet shower towels in master bath. One roll toilet paper in the entire place For 4 people 4 days? We purchased our own and left several rolls. Incomplete and inaccurate arrival instructions. The worst! These need rewritten. I pity the net guest. Garage sensor never worked we had another guest let us out of the garage after we checked out. Couldn’t find a broom until we were walking out that was hidden behind the washer/dryer. What!?!? Other than the ocean view from the unit and the beach access, that’s the only bonus!

Mayo Clinic visits
Had tests and procedure at Mayo Clinic and decided to stay in a condo on the beach versus a hotel that would be the same or more costs! This condo was nice and in a smaller complex with not so many people. It was our home for the week and we enjoyed it!
