Carlogie House, built in 1854, is an exclusive holiday house that sleeps up to 24 guests in 12 sumptuous en-suite bedrooms, one of which is situated on the ground floor and is fully accessible. Set within 2 acres of private garden grounds, this beautifully refurbished Victorian Mansion House retains all the feel of a rural country house while conveniently located within walking distance of Carnoustie town centre and 5 minutes to the Open Golf Course.

This property has been lavishly refurbished in contemporary country house style to provide the perfect venue for group holidays, family celebrations or weddings. The house is an elegant mix of traditional features and contemporary decoration with a modern Scottish touch.

The lounge with open fire, bar area and kitchen are all open plan to provide a large space that everyone can enjoy together. The kitchen has been specifically designed for large groups with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 fridges and separate wine fridge to add to the luxury. Space is in abundance with further formal dining room, additional butler’s kitchen, games room, conservatory, spa area with steam room, shower and changing area.

There is an enclosed garden area to the rear, accessed off both the lounge and the steam room area, with terrace, 2 hot tubs, patio area, fire pit and seating to enjoy warm summer days or cold winter nights alike.

As an award winning Architect and Construction Company the renovation of Carlogie House has truly been a labour of love. We are a family business and we are all extremely proud of Carlogie House and all the work from the whole team that was put into refurbishing what was already a truly exceptional house.
We went to view this property in July 2018 and immediately fell in love with the building and the surroundings. Now the works are complete we love welcoming guests to this unique property.

Why they chose this property

Carlogie House is a Victorian Mansion House that has been designed with entertaining in mind. Although packed with traditional features its layout of large open plan spaces makes it ideal for social gatherings and different from the cellular nature of a lot of traditional properties. With a new kitchen in the heart of the social area cooking and catering will be a pleasure. If you have more formal entertaining in mind the magnificent dining room, with separate butler's kitchen, seats 24 and can be laid out for more if required or, if you would rather entertain outside, there is BBQ, dining area, fire pit, seating and 2 hot tubs all within enclosed garden area.

Carlogie House has all the original features and romance of a Victorian Country Mansion House with all the facilities and comfort of a fully modernised property, tastefully decorated in contemporary Country House style, the house has been equipped and furnished to ensure it is the ideal location for holidays and celebrations.
All 12 bedrooms are ensuite with the Tummel Bedroom having the second floor all to itself and the luxury bathroom in the Turret.
The layout of the main social space with open plan kitchen, living, dining and bar area has been created to ensure everyone can socialise together. From here you can spill out to the external entertainment space and garden with hot tubs, fire pit, external seating and al fresco dining facilities.
Located within 2 acres of garden ground, it has a distinctly Country House feel, although still within walking distance of shops, restaurants and bars of the famous golfing town of Carnoustie .
Its convenient location makes it easily accessible by road, rail and train and is an ideal touring base for the North East of Scotland.
