This “little boathouse” cottage has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom located on the shore of Lake Huron in Applegate, Michigan.

Come relax and unwind in our community setting along the lake front. Get away from the daily rush and escape to this hidden gem...

Located just 4 miles north of Lexington and 4 miles south of Port Sanilac. Both towns offer excellent restaurants, nightlife, shopping, golfing, marina and much more.

This quaint cottage boasts a beautiful view of Lake Huron - sit on the porch and watch the freighters go by! Full kitchen, sheets and towels, 32'' flat screen TV, cable, and wifi. Dinnerware, cookware, and utensils are also provided for you. A community fire pit out your front door for your enjoyment (byow-bring your own wood).

Clean quiet quaint. The only downside was the few trees obstructed our lake view a bit. Our bathroom hinge was a bit loose, but still was able to close it. We will be definitely back in 2026.

We had a wonderful time. It was the peace and solitude we needed in getting away from city life. We parked our car and it didn’t move until we left to head back home. We cooked our dinner on the grill every night and had the best view on the deck to enjoy our dinner. I spent hours walking on the beach and my husband played his mandolin and read. The other guests were lovely, we talked around the campfire. Communication with the host was great and the cottage was spotless. A couple dish towels to dry dishes would be helpful, but we’ll bring our own next time.

Our stay in Cottage #3 was lovely. It was equipped with everything you could need for a getaway. It's even air conditioned! The view was spectacular for viewing a sunrise over Lake Huron, owner very quick to respond to an inquiry. We've booked another stay for the summer.

This place is a sweet little amazing piece of property with 8 little cottages ranging from a studio all the way to a 2 bedroom.. it was my first time stay here but i definitely wasn't disappointed at all... I will be looking forward to the next time i can cone stay at these cottages

Great Property

Had a great time in our cottage. Even though there were 8 cottages on site, we never felt like we didn't have privacy. The cottage we were in overlooks Lake Huron. Each cottage has private outdoor seating, in addition to the seating on the overlook. The cottage was decorated nicely and had everything we needed, including Wi-Fi. I didn't have phone service (Total Wireless), but never missed it. I realized afterward wifi calling wasn't activated on my phone. On one of the days, the Lake was calm enough for my daughter to swim alone at the lake access. The public beaches at Lexington and Port Sanilac were nearby and worked out well for us the other days. I would definitely stay here again!

This is the cleanest Verbo/Air B n B I have ever stayed at. The listing doesn't do this place justice. It was quiet, the location was perfect, and it was extremely clean. The owners have added touches that make this place externally cozy and they ensure you have everything you could need. I would 100% stay here again and recommend to everyone I know.

Great grown-up getaway

We loved our stay in Cottage #3. No complaints; everything was as described and pictured. This group of 8 cottages is a great place for grownups to get away and enjoy peace and quiet on the lake. There are a couple of things that make this place ideal for grownups. 1.) There is no beach, and the access to the lake is via a very steep but well-built stairway that leads to a second-level deck down the bluff, and from there to a metal stairway to the water. Not the best for kids, but perfect for able-bodied adults who really want to get into the water. Many properties along Lake Huron have lost their beaches due to erosion. It is clear the owners here have put a lot of money and effort into creating the two beautiful decks and improving the seawall. 2. The cottages are situated close to busy M25, and there is no playground or play area for children. Again, absolutely perfect for grownups. There are many other cottages along Lake Huron that have play areas and are situated farther from the busy road - if you have children, look for those. This is a lovely, lovely setting best suited to adults seeking peace and quiet, star-gazing, lake-viewing, cooking out, having a campfire, rainy-day reading, and as a base for day trips to nearby towns. Owners are VERY responsive. If you have questions or need clarifications about anything, just ask! We are looking forward to our stay in cottage #4 next summer!

Great Weekend Getaway!

Karl and Robyn are incredible hosts. They were flexible with a last minute scheduling change and were very responsive to my communication. The property itself is clean and cozy. The view of Lake Huron and the passing freighters was beautiful and very relaxing. The cottage was a great base camp for our weekend adventures.
