About the host
Hosted by Mary Doherty
I am a retired teacher of History living some of my time in UK and the rest in Kerry. This is where I grew up and where my heart is - amongst these beautiful misty mountains and wild windy days. I love people more than anything else so I love hosting and learning a little bit about people from other parts of the world. I enjoy travel so i like to make my guests’ experience as good as possible. My photo is of me in the Sahara on a walking trek for a charity challenge. It was amazing!
Why they chose this property
This house is our family’s bit of heaven and if that house could talk it would have greet stories about so many very happy times there with extended family, long lost family members and friends who all congregate there for the craic at big gathering a- hence why this house is so well stocked for all one’s needs. It is our re treat place and all family members love the spiritual connections to the land there.
What makes this property unique
Very spacious- ( not like most holiday homes we rent which only have the bare minimum number of items - as we cater for big numbers of sudden guests we have lots of well stocked cupboards. We believe in leaving lots of herbs, spices, Oil and sauces for our guests so you don’t have to buy a packet of all those things when you only need a week’s supply! The views are fabulous the privacy is much appreciated and the delightful new sunroom as well as the new patio make it an unforgettable holiday destination. The huge numbers of guests returning speaks for itself
