The house was the perfect place to stay for 2 weeks while going to Wimbledon! Maria was very responsive and helpful and the house had everything we needed. It's in a great location near the train station and shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

Place was ok , but far from shops and tube stations (it's actually located in Kew not Richmond) , it would have been nice to have a bit more storage as the place is packed with stuff- owners are clearly art collectors so I would avoid this property with kids .

The guests caused damage to the brand-new, premium 700 GSM towels provided for their stay, leaving them bleached and unusable. We were obliged to submit a claim for compensation through Vrbo. There were also visible footprints left on the soft furnishings. Furthermore, the guests held a wake at the property without our prior knowledge or consent, in clear breach of our house rules, which explicitly prohibit gatherings. For the avoidance of doubt, the property is located in Richmond, just a 12-minute walk from Richmond station. We take considerable care to ensure our guests enjoy a comfortable and well-appointed stay. Each bedroom is furnished with ample wardrobe space and chests of drawers for guests’ convenience. This is our principal residence, not an impersonal holiday let, and the listing description makes this perfectly clear. The house contains a carefully curated collection of books and artworks, reflecting its character as a private home.

Home away from home!

We've just enjoyed a wonderful stay at Maria's home! A stone's throw from Kew Gardens and short walk into Richmond, the location of this property was great. The house itself was well-proportioned and beautifully and comfortably decorated -- just like the pictures! We were greeted by a full fruit bowl, plenty of coffee pods/tea, and even a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden and evenings curled up in the lounge after putting our kids to sleep. Maria's house in Kew/Richmond really felt like our home away from home and we would highly recommend to others!

The house was charming and beautifully appointed, very clean, and had every amenity we could ever need and is in a quiet locationWe were greeted by a welcoming message from our hosts, wine and shortbreadsThe laundry/dressing room was a bonus Maria contacted us during our stay to make sure we were comfortableThe location close to Kew Gardens and an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and Richmond station was very convenient and the bus stop was very nearThe choice of District Line on the tube or train to Waterloo from the station was handy for trios into LondonWould definitely recommend this home for a very pleasant stayIt wasn’t a drawback for us, but the stairs could be an issue fir anyone with mobility issues, which I believe was mentioned on the website

House cold and the shower broke (twice)

The upstairs shower broke twice (had to contact the owner who didn’t respond until the next day as they were away.). Plumber had to come, twice. Mid level shower was either boiling or cold - barely usable.The house is cold, with the heating on the kitchen was still very cold.

The temperature in the house can be easily regulated by the dial and there is no limit set to how hot it can be. There is an independent radiator on the ground floor which can be used. The guests never mentioned that it was cold during their stay. One of the showers sadly broke down during the guests stay and was fixed the next day, being New Year's Eve. There has never been an issue with the second shower, you just turn the tap to change the temperature. We went out of our away to ammocomdate these guests, with special arrangements for Christmas and did not even get a thank you message in return.

Best VRBO or we ever stayed at!

We rented this beautiful home to be close to Wimbledon Tennis and the location is perfect to either enjoy all the local fare, take in beautiful Kew Gardens or take a quick tube into London proper. The home is even better than described. We arrived to fresh fruit and a bottle of bubbly in the fridge for us. The entire home was spotless. It is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Maria was never more than a text away. Any questions we had were answered within a minute of sending! While the weather didn’t cooperate with us, when the sun did peek out, we thoroughly enjoyed the back garden which felt like a secret garden. I can’t say enough about this property and host. If we come back for Wimbledon next year, we know where we will be staying! Thank you so much, Maria, for making a bucket list trip more than I could have ever imagined!❤️
