This apartment is in the perfect location. 5 minute walk to Lake Merritt and all the shops on Grand and Lakeshore Ave: great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, Trader Joe's, CVS, and a Farmer's Market every Saturday all within a few blocks. "Walker's Paradise" walk score of 97. Very safe neighborhood. Recently upgraded WiFi. Pet friendly with an additional cleaning fee of $125.

The unit was dirty.

The unit we were to have was not ready so we were provided a larger unit that had become unexpectedly available. The location of the unit was great but the unit's windows, floors, walls and appliances needed to be cleaned, walls and shower curtain rods needed to be repaired, fresh linens provided and some areas needed painting. The owner is busy renovating the building which may have accounted for the state of repair of the unit we were in. We stayed and made the best of it but others might not feel so charitable.

Not worth it

Location is great, but: Shower didn't get warmer than room temperature, Bed sags to one side, Apartment has no heat, which was needed. All in all no so pleasant.
