About this property

Rustic 2 Bed Stable in the Heart of the Kent Downs

The North Stable is a unique, recently redecorated stable completed in the lockdown of '21. We're bringing the outside in with natural woods, earthy tranquil colours, cosy textiles, beautiful pottery and art. With its handmade kitchen and top-end appliances and its scrumptious teal green bathroom with walk-in wet-room, freestanding bath and natural reclaimed walls. The North Stable is a real retreat, something different for a country getaway.

Welcome to the North Stable and Crabtree farm - We've furnished the stable with many modern touches, local art, uncovered original wooden beams, mango wood storage. We've made sure it's cosy in the winter months with an entire underfloor heating system in the bathroom.

Our family home - Crabtree Farm is an 18th century Grade II listed farmhouse situated on the outskirts of the rural village of Hastingleigh, an area of outstanding natural beauty high on the Kent Downs. We have two cosy converted stables, the north and south, backing on to 10 acres of beautiful open fields.

We have animals on the farm, including sheep, chickens, cats and a dog, and lots of free-roaming wildlife.

Crabtree Farm is located along a quiet country lane and is surrounded by England's best countryside, with many great walks, drives and attractions (an abundance of heritage sites and fun places to go for families). With a short drive/walk, you're in the Wye national nature reserve - a place to experience spectacular wildlife, hiking trails & sweeping views.

We also have the South Stable for let should you require more space for family or friends.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Stunning location and 5 star holiday let
This is the most gorgeous holiday let beautifully decorated with all mod cons, stunning furnishings and attention to detail. Andrew was so welcoming and helpful and the little extras such as organic teas and coiffee and eco cleaning products showed just how much they care. The location is fantastic just minutes from the iconic Devils Kneading Trough and surrounded by other beauty spots on the North Downs. It is such a relaxing place to stay and hope to be back.

Great stay!
We're just back from a week stay at the North Stable. The property has been renovated beautifully and is very well equipped, everything you need to get away from it all for a while. Andrew was a great host and had some top tips for places to visit. Thanks very much!

Excellent location and friendly hosts.
Beautiful location, friendly hosts and ideal base for exploring Kent. Lovely grounds for dogs to exercise and infant to play. Cottage has everything we needed, including a few extras from the hosts (e.g. milk, bread and pain au chocolat on first morning).

Why they chose this property

Back in September 2019, we moved to Crabtree Farm having spent over 20 years living and working in London. We needed a change from the hustle and bustle of London, and wanted to create something new and exciting for our future. In addition to building upon our current holiday lets, we’re developing an environment in which families can stay together, cook together, and form new memories together with a focus on sustainability.

What makes this property unique

We believe in creating an environment in which families and friends can stay together, cook together, and form new memories together with a focus on sustainability.
