Art Pantheon Townhouse in Plaka • Acropolis area


A remarkable neoclassical townhouse at the famous neighborhood of Plaka, in the heart of Athens. This pristine 19th Century(1830) historical building was renovated in summer 2018 and features comfortable furnishings and brand new hotel-grade facilities. With 7 beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished bedrooms, it is perfect for groups or a family to enjoy life like a local in the oldest part of the city. There is even a courtyard garden to relax in after a days touring.

Art Pantheon Townhouse (400m?/4305ft?) is located in probably the best location in the city, you are minutes walk away from the mighty Acropolis and all major sites and it has 4 independent suites and apartments (see our other listings for each individual accommodation) that when rented together offer a spacious and comfortable solution for groups of up to 21 people. The house itself takes up 2 floors (first and ground), with a street entrance each floor and an inner courtyard which connects both floors. Sleeping arrangements are as follows: There is 1 triple bedroom, 4 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms(one of them can be converted into a double bed as well). There are also 3 sofa beds(double or single) in the living rooms.

The townhouse provides 3 living rooms with dining tables, 6 full bathrooms and 1 WC, 2 fully equipped kitchens and one kitchenette, 3 washer-dryers, numerous flat screen TVs (with Netflix), Coco Mat mattresses and high-speed WiFi connection (100 Mbps network) ideal for working from the house. Complimentary toiletries, kitchenware and essentials, espresso machines and capsules are some of the provided amenities as well. The furniture are brand new with some restored vintage pieces thrown in and hotel-quality. The decor is sophisticated and classy with pride of place the several beautiful large format photo prints on the walls taken by award winning photographer Dimitri Papadimitriou featuring some of his most prominent work.

-We have a great breakfast deal for you - a nearby (less than a minute away) cafe-bakery with a full selection of goodies, offers a 10% discount to all Art Pantheon guests - delivers at the house as well - ask us for details upon arrival.

-On the 5th bedroom the two single beds can also be converted into a double bed with a manual mechanism.

-Kindly note that the 7th bedroom and 6th bathroom have access through the courtyard.

-The Townhouse is available upon request for film and commercial productions, photo shootings and video clips.

We were a group of 13 friends staying in Athens before getting on a cruise. This place was perfect in every way! Location is walking distance to the neighborhood of Plaka & the Acropolis. Andreas responded quickly to all our needs & helped arrange our transfers from airport & then again to the port. I highly recommend if you are staying Athens!

Perfect Place in Plaka!

Traveled to Athens with extended family of all ages and stayed at the Pantheon Townhouse. Our host was so communicative and even offered helpful recommendations for our stay in the city. Andreas was there when we checked in to ensure we had a proper tour of the home and everything we needed for our stay. The location could not have been more perfect, walking distance to the heart of Plaka yet still quiet. The outdoor space was perfect for visiting in between outings. If we ever find ourselves in Athens we would be lucky to stay here again!

Perfect Spot!

Pictures don’t do this place justice not to mention the friendliness and helplessness of our host, Andreas. Quiet street but only 2 minutes walk to the beautiful allies and shops of Plaka. Walking distance to many tours as well. We felt safe here and highly recommend this spot!

Athens from the Art Patheon Townhouse

I would highly recommend the Art Pantheon to anyone/group looking for a place to stay in Athens within walking distance of all the sites. We were an extended family of ten and rented all seven rooms available. Since the townhouse/hotel was once a residence the facility provided a better feel for Athens. The host Andreas was responsible, communicative throughout our visit and helped me feel welcome in a new community. The host, facility and location all exceeded my highest expectations!

Beautiful townhouse

The property is stunning, excellent location. We were only there for 2 nights. Not the easiest getting luggage into the entrance as there are steps at one of the entrances and very narrow sidewalk. Would definitely stay again. Andreas was very helpful.

Great Location and host

Andreas was a wonderful host. The property worked well for our group of 11 (ages 47-12). The AC units are individual for each room. One room did not have a unit and one rooms unit didn't work well but it was good enough. It was very hot while we were there so we were thankful. Andreas set up our airport transfers and met us to store our luggage when we arrived. The location was perfect for our group.

Pre-cruise land tour of Athens

Fifteen family members shared this townhouse. All beds and baths were clean, comfortable and well appointed. Andreas I’d a wonderful property msmyeho will also assist with local tours, airport and port transfers and dining/activity recommendations. Location is absolutely superb. Steps from a vibrant shopping and eating area and a short walk to the Parthenon.

Perfection in Athens!

Perfect place to stay in Athens! Location could not have been better - quiet street but steps away from amazing restaurants, shopping, the Acropolis, and more. The cutest neighborhood ever. The apartments were perfect for our family of 13 and Andreas was amazing providing so many great recommendations for restaurants and organizing car services for our many outings and trips to the airport. He could not have been a better host even greeting us at the apartments upon our arrival to give us a tour despite the late hour. If you are going to Athens, this is the place to stay!

An Athens gem

Just stayed for an incredible weekend in this gorgeous home in the Plaka neighborhood of Athens. The attention to detail, from the gorgeous photographs on the walls, to the crystal chandelier and marble floors, was flawless. We felt very luxurious staying here! Andreas met us (despite our lateness) to walk us through the entire home and make sure we were comfortable and settled. Additionally, he met us at checkout (which he generously allowed us to do late as well) and even helped with our luggage to our transportation. The location near restaurants and shopping was phenomenal! Highly recommend to all and will be back again one day!

Amazing House

There are no words, the house is simply amazing! Roomy, clean, modern, location is in the middle of everything! Owner responds within minutes! Organized everything for us, including all the transportation, and helped when at 5am our bus was late! When we come back to Athens, this is the only place we will stay! Highly recommend, we were a large group of 4 families with kids! PS. Has a beautiful outdoor garden to sip wine at night or during the day!

Fantastic jumping off point to explore Athens!

Athens is beautiful- made so by the amazingly friendly Greeks we met at every turn. Andreas and Roula were no exception - communicating was easy and responsive. Request for information or support were met with a smile and results. The best! The Art Pantheon Townhouse is perfectly situated to step out and enjoy Athens. And after a day of sightseeing or wanting a break from the hustle bustle of the city it was a welcomed refuge. Thick walls blocked the sounds of the city. Tall ceilings, modern decor, generous bedrooms and plenty of gathering spaces made for the perfect setup to enjoy the company of family and friends. Location is fantastic! Can’t say enough about our stay in Athens - perfect in every way!

Fabulous Athens home!

This absolutely lovely and gorgeous property is right in the heart of the Acropolis. Perfectly suited for walking to the Acropolis, restaurants, night life, shopping. Super safe : we let our teens and tween venture out for ice cream and souvenirs whenever they wanted. Our party had two families (4 adults, 5 kids including a toddler) and the property was wonderfully spacious. Enough room for privacy, but super easy to convene and hang out. The delightful courtyard is beautifully appointed and a perfect oasis to rejuvenate...and then head out again to enjoy Athens! The home is lovingly furnished with gorgeous high ceilings and cute details. Even prettier than the pictures! However, the best part of our stay was the property manager, Andreas. He is super friendly, kind, and helpful. Indeed, he reached out to me several times to ensure everything was perfect (it was!) and to arrange transportation. We arrived from our trans-Atlantic flight way before check in, and Andreas personally greeted us, stored our bags, and arranged for us to be able to check in early. We will definitely stay here again the next time we get to visit Athens.
