About this property

Fantastic, sociable home in the beautiful village of Brighstone, with hot tub.

Located between the rolling Downs and beautiful Brighstone Bay lies The Hawthorns! This is our much loved holiday home which we would like to offer to guests to enjoy and unwind in. This bright, modern split level house offers open plan living for the ultimate sociable holiday!
There are four bedrooms in total, two on the ground floor and two upstairs, three of which have flat screen TVs. On the ground floor, bedroom 1 is a kingsize bedroom and has an en suite bathroom offering his and hers sinks along with an illuminated demisting mirror, and a double ended bath. Bedroom 2 is a twin bedroom, and is served by the wet room just across the hall for bathroom facilities. Indeed, the luxurious wet room has a ceiling mounted shower, modern wall hung vanity basin and demisting illuminated mirror, along with laundry facilities. Upstairs, the bedrooms have large warehouse style windows and are flooded with light, and offer peaceful views over the surrounding trees and beyond to Grammar Woods. Bedroom 3, known as the Jack and Jill bedroom, can sleep two guests in either single beds or a zip link super kingsize bed, just let us know how you would like the room made up. This bedroom benefits from a Jack and Jill bathroom (hence the name!) with vanity sink and bath. Bedroom 4 is the stunning master bedroom with a euro kingsize bed and en suite shower room.
The bright and airy open plan lounge/diner has two sets of French doors opening out onto the south west facing rear garden and boasts a 65 inch smart TV with Netflix and full surround sound for those movie nights, along with comfy leather settees and a wood burner for cosy winter nights in. And there is a Hulsta dining table with seating for eight. The spacious open plan kitchen also has a set of French doors opening out onto the large patio and benefits from an induction hob with touch control extractor hood, Bosch double oven/microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, Bosch tassimo drinks machine, toaster, kettle and and is well stocked with plenty of cutlery and crockery. There is an island with integrated wine cooler and four stools, and pull up power sockets.
Outside is a large patio area with outdoor dining for eight and a separate lounge area. This area is perfect should you decide to eat 'al fresco', and there is a Jamie Oliver charcoal barbecue for those occasions. An Urban Cedar Hot Tub accommodates four people and is the ultimate way to end the day relaxing under the stars! (This is available to hire subject to terms and conditions). Indeed, the Isle of Wight is renowned for its beautiful dark night-time sky - enjoy stargazing with our telescope located in the master bedroom! The rear garden is laid to lawn and surrounded by a lovely variety of established shrubs, and is enclosed with a combination of 6 ft wooden fencing and 4 ft dog mesh fencing. Small to medium sized, well behaved dogs are welcome UPON REQUEST, a maximum of two (sorry, no puppies under 18 months old).
Situated on a single track road, to the front of the property there is off road parking for 2 vehicles on the gravel drive, and the front can be fully enclosed when the gates are closed. The charming village centre of Brighstone is just a 5 minute easy walk away and boasts a friendly pub, The Three Bishops, which was awarded Isle of Wight radio 'pub of the year 2026', offering a good selection of well priced pub grub and occasional entertainment. There is also a hairdressers, newsagents, post office, museum and the most amazing village shop which is well worth a visit! The beach is approximately a 20 minute walk away via footpaths and the local park is a 5 minute walk away where there is a children's playground, ample room to play ball games or exercise the dog, and the village tennis club which allows non members to play. There are a multitude of footpaths to explore throughout the area, ideal for dog walkers, ramblers or those simply looking for a relaxing holiday in beautiful, picturesque West Wight.
