Casas de Paquita - El Mirador Montefrío by Ruralidays

Holiday home in Montefrío, province of Granada, Andalucia.

The location of this holiday home provides some spectacular views of the Castle of La Villa, Montefrío’s most famous landmark. All the facilities are located near the house, thus ensuring a lovely stay.

The villa’s ground floor is the only part that is rented out; the first floor is in fact where the owners' parents live. However, you will have exclusive use of the outdoor area, thus including the pool.

The rental’s main room is a spacious dining-living room with a massive fireplace and a fully-equipped galley corner; this room is heated and cooled thanks to the warm/cool air-con located above the fridge. The house is provided with one bathroom with shower, which is shared among the eight guests that’ll stay here, and three bedrooms. Two of them are equipped with one double bed each, and one is furnished with one double bed and two twin beds (1.05 mt each). Please note that the bedrooms will be opened depending on the number of people renting the house.

The outdoor area is divided into a tiled pool area and a grassed part, where the sun loungers and a pergola with a space for “al fresco” dining are located. Here, you can relax under the sun, or delight in tasty meals, which you will have conveniently cooked on the BBQ provided.

The access to the house is fully paved.

Der Eigentümer ist sehr freundlich und bemüht und spricht gut englisch. Wohnt selbst nicht vor Ort, aber organisiert sofort Hilfe, wenn es ein Problem gibt. Sauberkeit war nicht ganz optimal. Der wirklich großartige Blick von der Terrasse auf den Ort, wird sehr getrübt durch den permanenten Lärm und die Abgase, der direkt darunter liegenden Straße, da kann der Eigentümer nichts daran ändern, es sei denn, er erreicht bei der Ortsverwaltung, dass im 20m Abstand hohe Fahrbahnschwellen und Radarkontrollen angebracht werden, die das Gasgeben auf diesem Stück konsequent unterbinden. Generell hört man den Krach der Fahrzeuge bedingt durch die Lage vom ganzen Ort her. Daher nichts für Menschen, die Ruhe und Erholung haben wollen.

La casa en general bastante bien. Había sábanas, toallas, mantas… aunque echamos en falta cosas mínimas, como bolsas de basura o pastillas para usar el lavavajillas (cosas que normalmente no llevas encima aunque te vayas de viaje). Le pedimos al propietario si nos daba un par de horas más para salir más tarde, y nos quería cobrar un plus. También echamos en falta que alguien nos avisara que los propietarios vivían encima. En resumen, bien, pero me parece que pretenden sacar el dinero de más.

Heel vriendelijke eigenaar en familie. Alles in huis was prima en schoon. Montefrio vonden we een toepasselijke naam want het was best koud de eerste nacht, maar nadat het huis was opgewarmd en de temperatuur overdag omhoog ging, waren ook de nachten minder koud.
