The log cabin was even nicer than shown in the listing and the property offers a true relaxing stay with extensive water frontage. We loved the porch facing the water and truly powered down from everything! The owners could not have been nicer, very responsive and we would return here in a heartbeat!Sincerely,Jenny and J.C.
We've been coming here 2 or 3 times every year for 8 years. David and Carmen are the best!! Even when the weather is not so great and the lake is low it it's still so relaxing.
A fabulous stay at the log cabin. The water access was appreciated most by my dog, who loved it. The cabin was so unique, with craftsmanship and creativity throughout. My first experience with an outdoor shower, and now I want one.Great hosts!
This was my 4th of 5th annual stay. As always, the best experience EVER. DO NOT MISS IT. I had 2 folks with me this time that had never been there before and they both absolutely fell in love with it as well. Most unique and wonderful vacation rental I've ever had.
If you are looking for a fun time at the lake mixed with a glimpse of the 18th century way of life, this is it. Spectacular views, nature on the doorstep, fish, swim, kayak, paddle board or just relax on the porch. Comfy beds, clean linens and the cabin is a real slice of history (with heat and AC)We are planning trip #3.
Excellent location for recreation. The host designed the cabin with immense consideration and thoughtfulness. The aspects of central/South American culture was a wonderful addition to all of the handmade furniture, hand wrought hardware, and delightfully comfortable environment. 10/10 would return
Beautiful Cabin, our second visit to this quaint historic cabin. Enjoying your coffee in the morning right on the lake, there is nothing better. David is always a courteous host, eager to please.
Great little getaway. It is as advertised. An old log cabin with all you could need. It's not the Hampton but a quaint, quiet little getaway. Loved it.
The cabin is so cute inside. Pictures don’t do it justice. The beds and sofa were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The grounds were well maintained and the lot was flat. Beautiful lake view. The outdoor shower and kayaks were a hit. We hope to return.
My family and I loved the cabin and property. It was too cold to swim and water was low, but I hope we can come back to enjoy the slide and swings. The house is so cool. As an architect I loved staying in the historic structure and the craftsmanship in the relocated restoration is impeccable. Great spot for a quiet family getaway.
Absolutely loved! The cabin is beautiful!! David and his wife have not skimped on details!!!! Peaceful, beautiful!! Excellent communication!! Highly highly recommend! Cannot wait to come back!!
