Family Chalet with Mountain Views, Sleeps 8

Set above Samoëns with sweeping views across the valley and surrounding mountains, Chalet Nyika is a spacious four-bedroom family chalet for up to eight guests. With an open fireplace, generous living spaces, a large garden and three bathrooms, it works particularly well for families or two households sharing a mountain holiday.

The chalet is in the peaceful hamlet of Vigny, around 10 minutes by car from Samoëns village and the Grand Massif Express.

Chalet Nyika is a four-bedroom chalet in Vigny, in the hills above Samoëns.

The ground-floor living and dining area is arranged around an open fireplace, with doors opening directly onto the terrace and views across the valley. There is plenty of space for eight guests around the dining table, as well as a separate snug/games room. Two high chairs can also be provided.

There are four bedrooms - two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms - together with three bathrooms.

Outside, the chalet has a substantial terraced garden with a small stream running alongside, as well as a barbecue and sunshade for summer stays.

Guests can use the garage for storing skis and equipment in winter or bicycles in summer. Private equipment belonging to the owners should not be used.

There is private parking for two cars. The chalet is approximately 4.5km, or a 10-minute drive, from both Samoëns village and the Grand Massif Express ski lift. There is no ski bus serving the chalet, so a car is essential. During periods of heavy snow, the driveway can become slippery.

Chalet Nyika is offered on a self-catered basis, although we would be happy to recommend local catering options.

One well-behaved, house-trained small or medium-sized dog may be accepted by prior agreement, subject to a €100 supplement. Dogs must not be allowed in bedrooms or on furniture, and owners are responsible for clearing any waste from the garden and surrounding outdoor areas. Puppies are not accepted.

Guest access

Guests have use of the entire chalet, together with the designated guest area of the garage/equipment store.

Some storage areas and equipment are reserved for the owners and clearly marked as private. We ask guests not to use any of the owners’ personal equipment, including bicycles and skis.

Interaction with guests

The property management team will contact you before your arrival with self check-in information and will be available to answer any questions you may have during your stay.

Other details to note

Following confirmation of your booking, we will ask for an email address so that we can provide the booking formalities, useful chalet information and local information for your stay. This does not alter or replace the terms of your VRBO booking.

We also ask for a copy of the lead tenant’s ID, together with the names and ages of the guests staying at the chalet.

If you are travelling with a dog, this must be declared at the time of booking and agreed in advance. One well-behaved, house-trained small or medium-sized dog may be accepted, subject to a €100 supplement. Dogs are not permitted in bedrooms or on furniture, and puppies are not accepted.
