About this property

Palace House "La Casa Empeño" in Historic Center

It is the main house of the old House-Palace of the Virués de Segovia and Inestal, from the 17th century in the old town. 100m2 property restored in 2018 while retaining the Andalusian charm and style of the time. Two balconies in the living room that form the main facade of the building and multiple windows give it a spectacular luminosity. It consists of 2 rooms, one of them in the attic with fireplace included. Stunning views from the terrace, possibly the highest point of the town, from where you can see the Sierra, the Lake and many of the surrounding villages.

Large Comfortable Apartment

Authentic but modern apartment with loads of character right in the middle of the old town. We loved our stay here. We felt right at home. The apartment was spacious and had all the items you would need to make your stay comfortable. We loved the decor. There was a free local bus that took you to the bottom of the town where the big supermarket was. We recommend this apartment

A fascinating historic property.

If you enjoy the experience of exploring interesting locations this is the place for you. La Casa Empeno is in the heart of the community at the top of the hill which gives Arcos its unique character. We spent several days there and loved getting to know a little about life in a White Village. We also came back a little fitter from walking the steep, narrow lanes.

Comfortable apartment in charming, historic town

This is a wonderful property if you want to be in a typical Andalusian town. Arcos is so lovely! So many narrow streets, beautiful churches with a well marked historic walk. This apartment is in a great location and is very comfortable inside. We loved our stay here. The only issue we had was with the directions for parking our car. We worked it out but the streets are very narrow and it is not easy to navigate. The best advice is to park in a lower lot and walk up to the rental. This was one of our favorite places we visited on our trip.

Feeling like a local

Arcos de la Frontera was amazing. The small city streets really add to its charm. The apartment was perfectly located and really felt like a local living there. There were only the 2 of us so really only used the main floor but the upstairs bedroom with its private bath which is accessed via a spiral staircase would be perfect for additional people. The place was huge for its location. For those staying there, hope you like hills because theres a lot of them. Having the available parking space was a huge bonus. It's a seperate garage not too far from the apartment. Make sure if you get it to follow the hosts directions exactly to avoid driving the very narrow streets. We stayed 10 days there and explored many regions outside the area but also the town itself. Definitely recommend.

This property was unreachable by car. The streets were too narrow to get through. When we asked the locals in this town how to get to our destination, they laughed. It was suggested that we leave our vehicle at the base of the town and take a taxi to the destination. There were no taxis available because it was a festival day and all were occupied. Through this, the hosts did not offer much help to get us to his property. He did mention there was parking available but did not provide information on how to get from parking to the property. We had to find another place to stay the night. On day 2 of our supposed stay, we tried to find a way to the property destination without any luck.We were a party of 4 all over 65 and this property is not suitable for a group that needed to walk uphill to reach the destination. Very dissapointing stay in Arcos de la Frontera

Die Wohnung ist wunderschön, im ersten Stock eines alten Palastes, mitten im Zentrum der Stadt, doch sehr ruhig. Alles hat von Anfang an gepasst, die Tage dort werden uns unvergesslich bleiben. Muchas Gracias!

Eine tolle Wohnung in einem wunderschönen Ort

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung hoch oben in Arcos de la Frontera sehr wohlgefühlt und können sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, bietet viel Platz, hat alles was man braucht und ist wirklich besonders. Man spürt, dass man in einem historischen Gebäude ist. Für uns besonders waren auch die Prozessionen während der Karwoche, die wir dank der besonderen Lage im historischen Zentrum des Ortes von unseren Balkonen hautnah mit erleben durften. Das war wirklich beeindruckend! Wer nicht gut zu Fuß ist, sollte sich aber lieber eine andere Unterkunft suchen! Die Wohnung ist nur schwer mit dem Auto zu erreichen, da die steilen Gassen sehr eng und teilweise auch gar nicht zu befahren sind. Aber gerade die langen Anstiege nach einem langen Tag unterwegs werden uns sicher in guter Erinnerung bleiben. Mit unserem Vermieter hatten wir keinen persönlichen Kontakt, aber die Kommunikation lief problemlos über die Nachrichtenfunktion bei fewo.direkt und wir fühlten uns gut betreut bzw. über alles informiert. Wie bereits erwähnt, wir können die Wohnung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Prachtige plek!

Onze huur auto hebben we op gratis parkeerplek parking arcos gezet en voor 8 euro ga je met de taxi naar het dorp. Straatjes zijn echt hè smal om als toerist te rijden zonder schade . Het huis is zelf fantastisch , zeer Sfeervol en een mooie plek met veel Restaurantjes . Je moet wel rekening houden met zeer steile straatjes waardoor even wandelen tijdens de warme zomer maanden niet haalbaar is tenzij je heel Goed getraind bent . Verhuurder is top en is er direct als je hem nodig hebt ook op app. Zeer tevreden ! Playa de arcos kun je heerlijk zwemmen.

Nos ha encantado la casa de Josema, en pleno centro histórico de Arcos. Casa renovada, muy bien decorada. Una terraza con vistas preciosas al pueblo. Recomendamos la estancia al 100%
