Near Center cool and quiet apartment
It is a quiet apartment of 36 sqm with one bedroom with two beds, hallway with a sofa bed, bathroom and kitchen. You need to go down 12 steps to get in (there is no elevator) and it is in a typical old Athenian neighborhood where I was born and raised. I live near this house with my family.
There are standard household equipment such as linen, rugs, towels, shampoo, shower, air conditioning, dehumidifier. But there are also amenities such as iron for ironing, a spreader, basic kitchen equipment for making and serving a light meal, and most of all privacy like your home.
It is about 2 miles from downtown Athens. You can take a 10-minute taxi ride (€ 5), a 15-minute bus ride (€ 1.40) or a 30-minute walk (it's free!). Going straight from Patision Avenue you end up at the Acropolis passing through the historic center of Athens.
This apartment can be a good base to discover not only Athens but also great destinations near or far from Athens such as Sounio, Olympia Mycenae or the islands. Of course you only go to a few islands in a single day.

I have lived more than 50 years in Athens near this neighborhood.
I am working as a chemist also involved in painting and conservation of works of art. The restoration of this small family-owned apartment for the purpose of hosting is a hobby and creative activity in my spare time. I feel that getting to know the people who will be hosted will make me wiser. I like wine making and wine tasting (not drinking much wine!). Finally, I can say that water or beer also are not bad!
