French ‘fix’ satisfied

We had a wonderful week. We were made so welcome by the friendly owner and her family. The property is well equipped, comfortable and provided us with the peaceful environment we were in need of. The pool was very welcome, considering the glorious weather we enjoyed, although we were so busy discovering the surrounding area we didn’t make as much use of it as we would have liked.

Not happy with pool due to insects and flies were just horrible not giving you any rest

The picture is not what you see, the room is below the grandmothers accomodation and so you do not have the place to yourself plus the picture above needs to change to reflect the real picture as you are not staying in that building so you are sharing with others so not so peaceful or idillic
Response from VrboOwner on 28 March 2020
Hello Robert, I'm surprised about this negative feedback and for me unjustified : 1) I did not yet changed the profile picture of the accommodation, as the extension is just finished as at today. However I consider that it is not decreasing the loveliness of this place. 2) The presence of my mother above the accomodation did not caused any disturbance previously, and I'm apologizing about any discomfort. 3) Finally, we are living in a clean (without pollution) and natural environnement, this explains the presence of insects (even thought we are cleaning the pool twice a day). We are really trying to welcome our guest in a great conviviality, and we are sorry that this stay did not pleased you. Sincerely yours Laurence

Comfortable, well-equipped in a beautiful rural setting

I spent six days here with my husband and one year old daughter. The owners were so kind and helpful! They had a baby bed for us to use, and it was great having a washing machine and well stocked kitchen. The place is very clean and comfortable, and the surrounding area is lovely. We enjoyed several hikes, beautiful scenery, small villages, wine tasting, and day trips to Lagrasse, Foix, and Carcassonne. We were a little unprepared for how far away we would be from the nearest grocery stores and restaurants. We arrived on a Saturday evening after driving from Spain and the grocery stores were all closed. It was a 30-40 minute drive often on winding roads to get to Carcassonne or Limous, and it was challenging to find places that weren't closed. Perhaps this was because we were there before the peak summer season. We ended up cooking most of our meals in the cottage, enjoying the delicious bread from the local baker. Once we got settled in, this ended up working out great for us. We were a little caught off guard the day before we left when we were told that we could clean the place ourselves or pay a cleaning fee. I would have preferred to have had the cleaning fee already included in the rental price. All in all, we loved our time here. If you are seeking a beautiful place that is off the beaten path and non-touristy, we highly recommend it!

Heel fijn. Heerlijk.
