This is an awesome house- very comfortable and clean, with lots of beautiful amazing artwork displayed. The hammock and roof patio were very enjoyable after coming back from nearby hikes- we were able to easily walk to our favorite hike - around the twin buttes. We loved the location right near the Chapel of the Cross, a very nice, quiet neighborhood- close to Oak Creek's many amazing restaurants and not too close to the crazy heavy traffic associated with Sedona.
Host was very responsive to any questions, welcoming, made the stay easy. Location was great for hiking and to catch public transportation to town and other trailheads. House was comfortable and clean. Very enjoyable stay, and would stay again.

The house was great and uniquely decorated. The location was perfect for us. A short walk to Chapel of the Holy Cross and many trails. The house is only a couple miles from town and you’re right in the Red Rocks. Highly recommend

Thanks so much Christopher. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in the red rocks. Happy 2026!
What a wonderful property!! We felt so at home in this space. The MCM decor was on-point with our vibe - we felt like we were staying with a friend!! We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the home and its amenities. The house was true to the VRBO description. Plenty of parking onsite. The piece de resistance was the rooftop deck! We often took our coffee there in the morning listening to birdsong and watching the sun move along the rocks (along with the javelina...) and, in the evening, we sipped our wine as the sun set and the moon and stars shone. It was truly magical!! The Professor's house is a hidden gem!
My friend and I had a great experience at this property. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious, and the outdoor space was lovely! Highly recommend!
Location was perfect. Out of town enough to avoid most traffic but close enough to dine or shop in 5 to 10 minutes. Hiking was very close without getting into your car. The home was beautiful and well kept. Upstairs studio perfect for star gazing. Quite neighborhood......just perfect!
We all enjoyed our stay a lot. The beds were comfy, the towels soft, any extras needed were provided, and the reading materials were so interesting!
The location was wonderful, and the house really has a great style, global influences, good vibes, practical luxuries. We stayed at high season, so it was a bit expensive, but well worth the splurge.
We felt so privileged to stay in this lovely home. It was so peaceful and the furnishings are artistic and charming. We really enjoyed our stay. The pictures don't do it justice and the location is perfect.
Beautiful home with lots of personality. Multiple outdoor seating areas. Quick drive to get into town, but finding a parking space in town or at the trail heads can be challenging. Would definitely stay here again.
We had 3 adults staying for 5 nights. The location was quiet yet close to the action. Several outdoor sitting areas and the second story patio is especially wonderful. The house is nicely laid out and it has everything you may need. We cooked several meals and found everything we needed. I would recommend this property to others.
This is a beautiful house in a gorgeous location. Loved being able to walk to red rock hikes. All the outdoor space so beautiful, spent so much time on the roof deck. House has everything you need and is very welcoming and homey. Was the perfect place to spend a month in Sedona.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in the red rocks.
It was wonderful. We enjoyed the warmth and embrace of this beautiful home after long hikes on some of the most beautiful trails we had ever seen. It’s in a really easy to reach, but quiet neighborhood.Everything you need in the kitchen, and to just relax. Thank you!
The home had so much personality and we loved everything about it.
The location was in a quiet neighborhood close to many hiking trails and beautiful red rock landmarks.
We enjoyed the inside of the home as much as the many outdoor spaces. The rooftop opened up to amazing red rock vistas and the star gazing at night was phenomenal!
This was our second stay at this Sedona property, and we chose it for 2023 because we enjoyed it so much in 2022. Overall, this house impresses with its comfortable layout, its bird friendly backyard, and its breathtaking views of the red rock formations.
House was in a great location. Very nice neighborhood. Was able to walk/ run each morning before we went exploring. The espresso machine was an awesome touch. Great communication with the owner. Highly recommend.
This property lived up to all we expected and more! The host was very helpful in getting us oriented. Location is amazing!
Very comfortable home away from home. We spent much time on the roof deck stargazing. Enjoy a walk in the neighborhood or hike in the Red Rocks!
Definitely recommend a trip to Sedona and stay with Frances!

About the host

I'm an anthropologist and rent my home when I am in the field. The house reflects my travels and research, and celebrates the work of both local and global artists and craftspeople. The property is a delight: the upstairs deck (to view Sedona's red rocks and dark skies) and the hammock (to read in the afternoon) are two of my favorite places on the planet.
Why they chose this property
The house is nestled in the red rocks, around the corner from three trail heads.
What makes this property unique
We are close to hiking and biking trails, are set up for dark sky star watching, and offer all the necessities (e.g. board games, a cooking-ready kitchen, outside nooks for reading, thinking, chatting, sketching) for a perfect stay in Sedona.
