About this property
Tigh Grianach - a cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
This spacious former croft cottage offers fabulous views and fantastic accommodation graded 4 star by Visit Scotland which is all on one level, with a large private garden. The patio makes a super spot from which to enjoy the breath taking panoramic views of Loch Etive and Ben Cruachan. There is easy access to the fabulous Glencoe scenery and the stunning west coast, the dramatic Falls of Lorne are also close by.
To the west, the view is of wide open fields where in the early morning deer may be spotted. The property's light airy and sunny lounge has a large patio door, which faces the loch, allowing you to marvel at the view - which is really one of Argyll's treasures, with access to the loch water's edge for walks and picnics. The cottage is an ideal base to explore the local area and beyond.
Connel has two hotels/restaurants and the cottage is only 5 miles from the picturesque and bustling harbour town of Oban with its many splendid shops and restaurants to explore, known as the "Seafood Capital of Scotland" with its fishing boats in the bay to the Calmac ferries leaving for the Western Isles and small boats for island hopping round the Small Isles or trips to the seal colony.
For those looking for winter sport, Ski opportunities are within easy reach with Glencoe a 45 minute drive and Fort William an hour away
