About this property
The Old Byre
With thick stone walls and a wood-burning stove the open plan lounge/kitchen make this the perfect place to stay to explore the West Coast.
Cycling, walking and fishing are right on your doorstep. Loch Creran has dive/fish, kayaking with space in adjoining barns to store equipment. The A85 is less than a mile away and leads south to Oban and north to Fort William, Glencoe and so much more.
The space
This lovely cottage was converted from an old barn/byre which was part of the original Dallachulish Farm. The walls are of thick stone with one or two extra little windows cut in which adds character. The rear door which is the main entry has ample parking and leads in to the hallway with a coat hanging area. Left of this is the shower room wih a WC and wash hand basin and to the right of the hallway is the main living area. This comprises of a spacious open plan lounge with wood burning stove sofa, chairs and TV. There is a dining table for two and a well equipped kitchen with a washing machine and dishwasher fitted. Outdoors in the shared (with Ross) large gravelled parking area, is a rotary washing line and a patio/seating area with table and chairs looking down towards the Loch, this is accessed from a sliding French door which supplies the view from your lounge area.
Cycle or canoe storage is available and there is plenty of private parking to the front of the cottage. This is shared with the owner Ross and his working collie Moss, who live in the house adjacent. To the left of his house is a small ( 5 vans only) immaculately maintained touring caravan site which Ross runs.
Guest access
The entire house is for guests to enjoy. A patio area to the front and a lawned garden.
