IDEAL LOCATION, SITUATED BETWEEN OBAN AND FORT WILLIAM

Sleeps 5 - Two comfortable bedrooms, one kingsize and one single and bunk beds. Ideal for families. Spacious open plan living area includes log burner (logs not included), leather sofas, large TV and DVD player. Wifi available. Dining area which seats 5. High quality, well equipped kitchen includes gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washer dryer and fridge with freezer box. Bathroom with a large shower cubicle and thermostatic mixer shower. Oil-fired central heating and hot water throughout with the bonus of the log burner for extra warmth in the winter months. Logs & kindling are not included, can be purchased from garage in Glencoe.

The Scottish Highlands and West Coast of Scotland is an area of outstanding beauty offering something for everyone. There is a huge range of outdoor activities on offer from forest walks, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf to sea kayaking, diving, skiing, white water rafting and mountain climbing. It also offers great history and mythology. Visit Loch Ness, climb Ben Nevis, walk along unspoilt beaches with crystal clear waters, wonder at Glencoe, eat fish and chips in Oban, sail to remote islands, marvel at outstanding wildlife, ride on the Hogwarts Express or simply relax and take in the amazing atmosphere the mountains and lochs provide.

Duror, Appin. Is the ideal location to explore all the Scottish Highlands has to offer. Fort William and Oban are both approximately 40 mins drive away. 5 minutes drive to family friendly bar/restaurant on the edge of Loch Linnhe. 15 minutes to well stocked supermarket in Ballachulish. There are several coffee and craft shops. Cycling, Fishing, Golf, Watersports, Diving, Horse riding and Skiing are all on offer within a 20 minute drive. 10 minutes walk will take you to the beautiful Cuil Bay.

Spacious cottage with great views

We were surprised how large this cottage when we arrived. Very relaxing place to stay. We used it as a base for hiking in the Highlands. We lucked out and had great weather so really got to enjoy the amazing beauty of this region.

Spacious Cottage in Rural Setting.

We had a wonderful two nights at the cottage. Much bigger than we expected and the cottage was clean and comfortable. During the breaks in the rain, amazing views of the nearby hills from the main bedroom and Kitchen. Great location, only 30 mins from Fort William. Communication with the host was very efficient and she provided us with all the information we required. Great spot to base yourself for any visit to the highlands of Scotland.

Nice cottage with wonderful view

Very nice and modern cottage. Especially the large kitchen and living room were very comfy, and the view from the garden to the mountain just behind was wonderful. The location was ideal for visting Glen Coe. It takes you about 20 min to the three sisters car park. To Oban it takes approx 45min. If you are sensitive to noises please be aware that the cottage is located at the main road to Oban. All in all we really enjoyed our time at Ben View!

Property is located in a heavy traveled road

Property is just as pictured, minus the accuracy of the description. Property is located on a heavily traveled road. Also, property is a duplex with a neighbor. The integrated washer/dryer does not dry clothes. From the property the view from the rear of the property is incredible. The view from the front no so much, the neighbor old boat coupled with the traffic.

Loads pros but unconfortable mattress

Very nice open plan kitchen/living room. Cosy wood burner - shame the ashes were not emptied after previous visitors.Place is nice and warm. A but hard to find, the owner could send what 3 words in the insteuctions which would help a lot.Lovely view feom the kitchen and master bedroom.The master bedroom had some stains on the walls (i dont want to know where that came from!!!) Unfortunately i am giving only 3 stars because the mattress was horrendous, and taking in account we are spending 1/3 of our days in bed this is important for me. This mattress was memory foam and it definietly remembered many many many previous visitors. I felt like sleeping in a hole.However on a positive point its a good location for hiking in Glencoe or Ben Nevis range. Shop in Ballachulish is well stocked.I would definitely book again if the mattress was changed.

Wonderful little cottage.

This is out 4th visit to the cottage over a period of 3 years. It's in an amazing location with fantastic views to the rear of the cottage. While the cottage was spotlessly clean, it is starting to look a little bit tired. Main bed and pillows all need replacing as does the sofas in the main room. Plus the shower door has been dodgy all the years we've been going. The back garden needs some attention, it's starting to block the fantastic views. That said, it's still a wonderful place, don't let this put you off. Also, We use between 6-12 holiday cottages around the country each year, this is the only one so far that doesn't provide a welcome pack. After a 9 hour drive, it would be nice to at least get a brew before having to shop for milk etc. Wonderful place though, dispite it's quirks.

Lovely cottage, ideally located for sightseeing in Glen Coe, Fort William or Oban areas. Easy keysafe check in and out. Beautiful tranquil setting. Well equipped and modern cottage sleeps 5 easily. Cuil bay just down the road was pretty and the view from bedrooms, kitchen and garden is amazing. I particularly enjoyed a glass of rosé , reading in the evening sun in the back garden. Would highly recommend.

Het was een super compleet en comfortabel vakantiehuis met een fantastische ligging om glencoe en ben nevis te ontdekken. Ook wandelingen in de buurt zijn aan te raden en we hebben gezwommen en gegeten in het nabij gelegen Holly tree hotel. Was heerlijk.

Great Cottage in a central location

Great location for a holiday in the Scottish Highlands with easy access to the Islands. Lovely walks from the doorstep including on the shores of Loch Linnhe and the forest and mountains behind the cottage. Be prepared to drive to local amenities and the cottage is located on a busy road which was a bit noisy at times.

Lovely cosy home with views

Perfectly warm and clean, newly refurbished home. Well appointed with amazing views out the back. The only adjustment was being on a main road but we soon noticed we’d habituated to this. Great location otherwise with walking track, beach and amenities nearby.

Perfect Location for Southern Highlands

Cottage ideal for the 2 of us in October but unkept garden would have been a pain in summer if sitting out. Perception of property not fully cared for-lightbulbs missing in bathroom, no spare bin bags,no kitchen towels,diluted washing up liquid and a request for new toaster acknowledged but not actioned. Also fridge not turned on at arrival Easy to resolve and if done would thoroughly recommend as very comfortable and excellent location.

absolut empfehlenswert!

Sehr schönes Haus mit tollem Ausblick nach hinten heraus. Sehr sauber, alles da, was man braucht, schöner (eingezäunter) Garten für Mensch und Hund und das Ganze in wunderschöner Umgebung. Vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeit in der Umgebung, aber auch viel Ruhe zum Entspannen. Bequemer Checking und Check-out dank Schlüsseltresor. Wir haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt und kommen wieder! Danke!

Return visit

Another wonderful stay in a clean, comfortable & well-equipped cottage in an ideal location. Halfway between two parkruns, easy access to the Caledonia Way & a short drive to the Nevis Range. Just what we wanted. Hope to return again soon.
