3- Star small town cutie on the Charente River
PERFECT!
Guests from Paris stayed here for two weeks during August 2022. Madame said " The property was the perfect size for us, with everything plus that you could possibly want. It is furnished as a normal home would be, and we wanted for nothing ".
Tres Mignon (very cute), fun and funky 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 2 WC house sleeping 4 (1 master, 2 single beds).
WELCOME: We always welcome our guests in person and after a short tour of the property and it's quirks, we leave you to get on with the business of vacationing.
HOT/COLD: Fans supplied in all rooms during summer months. Heating /Pellet Fire/electricity included in nightly rates during winter.
MODERN: Kitchen appliance and conveniences throughout.
PROVIDED: Essential groceries provided (milk, butter, salt, pepper, oil, et al). Shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, Dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tabs, Laundry soap et al.

PLUS - we welcome you with some special treats and a couple of bottles of wine!

ACTIVITIES: Superb outdoor activities at your doorstep. Large open spaces beside the river.
Excellent Biking, walking, golf, swimming, fishing, Cognac and Pineau des Charentes tasting...whatever your choice, it is all available here. .
CONVENIENT: 1km from Hwy RN141, taking you to any number of destinations in the Charente and Charente Maritime.
Bike or drive to nearby Jarnac where you can rent kayaks and visit the permanent indoor market or any of the outdoor market days in the town square.

Why they chose this property
What's not to like about a view of the Charente River! This property and its next door neighbour La Maison de Riviere, enjoy a special place in this small Grande Champagne town of Bourg-Charente. You don't really need to go anywhere for fun, it's all here!
We are located very near to the Local bar/restaurant/ depot de pain, 50 paces to the right, and next door to the Michelin Starred restaurant, La Ribaudiere. Treat yourselves!
What makes this property unique
It's all here in Bourg-Charente. You might have to venture to Cognac or Jarnac for your groceries, but you can get your morning croissants and baguette right along the road 50 paces. The river is the focus of course, and you can walk, ride, bike, kayak, swim, all from the doorstep. Golfing? Just across the bridge a short way to Golfe De Cognac. You can sit by the river in the shade of a tree with a good book or do nothing at all. The garden is a wonderful private alternative, with shade structures, picnic tables and some ball game activities to enjoy. You will be soothed by the proximity to the River and cozy inside this cute wee cottage. Just enjoy it all!
