Located on the Royal Mile, this newly renovated high street property is surrounded by lots of life, bustle, vibrancy, and an overall jovial atmosphere. This gives you the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the fantastic Scottish culture. The apartment is located on the 1st floor 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open plan living room and fully-equipped kitchen. Essentials such as linen, towels, TV & WiFi are provided.

The space
Positioned on the High Street, Edinburgh, this newly refurbished 2 bedroom apartment sits next to the famous World’s End pub. Historically being a defensive gateway, one that separated the Old Town from Canongate, the area inside the gateway became known as the “World’s End” because as far as the people of the town were concerned, this was where the world literally ended!

Elements of this rich history still echoes here to this very day, as the base of the port can still be seen outside of the pub, marked by metal plates in the roadway. In addition, the actual foundations of the pub still incorporate part of the Flodden Wall, which was a major part of the towns defenses. Inside the pub you’ll find an eating area and a bar. With its dark panels and stone walls, the pub is overflowing with character, so make sure to visit it!

Offering a stylish living room with an abundance of natural light, pristinely clean bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms, and fully equipped kitchen - our apartment offers an experience that will make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Living and Kitchen Area:
Our open plan, spacious and immaculately decorated kitchen and living room welcomes you to relax in front of the flat screen TV, on cosy plush sofa. The room itself is designed beautifully, providing our guests with a modern aesthetic that is complemented by the classic stone walls that provide style, comfort and warmth to the room, making it not only a hub for unwinding, but also a lovely environment in which to reflect and relax.

Our kitchen and dining area is fully equipped for all your needs and is very functional. There is a toaster, oven, dishwasher, and of course the necessary amount of dishes and cutlery.

Bedrooms:
There are 2 double bedrooms, one of which is an ensuite.

Both bedrooms are beautifully designed, have lots of natural light and come plenty of storage space for all your belongings.

Bathrooms:
As well as the ensuite bathroom there is an additional modern and stylish bathroom with a shower/bath unit and everything you might need for your comfort.

We found communication with Altido very poor. The fact that we had to find an office to pick up keys and then proceed to property is very inconvenient. I have never stayed in a property that didn’t have a lock box. The property said “newly refurbished” but door handles fell off of doors, leaving people stuck in bathroom, window blinds were broken and couldn’t be opened, there were no necessities in the kitchen no paper towels, no dish towels, everything in the kitchen seem to be left by previous guests. And only 1 set of towels provided. We enjoyed Edinburgh, and location was ideal. The property was VERY loud, cars, people below, the pub/music.

Fabulously located property!
Spacious apartment with very good facilities - just don't expect to get back from a long day of seeing the sights to hang your coat and put your feet up!! Not one hook within the property, and the sofa is more of a bench! The ensuite room does get the noise of the live events in the pub below, but this finished at 11pm so not a problem. Recommended, we would definitely stay here again.

Quick Scotland trip
Probably one of the best experiences I have recently. Owner/Manager were extremely responsive and accommodating being that our flight from USA was cancelled and we didn't arrive until 24 hours later. The flat was absolutely perfect in every way. Clean, spacious had everything we needed and the location couldn't have been more perfectly centered. I will definitely book again !!

Good location - poor communication
Of all the VRBOs this was the least favorite. My husband and I were traveling with another couple. No one ever answered any of my emails prior to arrival. Check in was ridiculous. Tired after a long day in the road we had to find their office to pick up a key and then haul our luggage up hills to get to the location. No one in the office was friendly! The beds were smaller than doubles. The sink in the en suite was about 6” x 8”! There is a spiral staircase that you have to navigate to get to the unit. Two nights we came back to find homeless people sleeping in our close - and before 9 pm! On a good note, the unit was clean and recently remodeled. The location was great! The 2 pubs underneath were very good - good food and friendly service. There were none of the personal touches we had in our units throughout Scotland. We had 1 towel each for 4 nights - I called and asked for extra towels and was told that would be an extra charge and would only happen if they could find time - they couldn’t guarantee we would get them but we would be charged anyway. We found a huge bag of dirty towels in a closet. Checkout was just as hard - had to make our way back to the Altido office to turn in the keys.
