Right on the Royal Mile! About a block away from Edinburgh Castle, made our walking easy even in the rain. Lots of touristy shopping right out the door. Fun bar on the corner with live music on Monday night.Would stay here again.
Location is on the Royal Mile. Easy walk from bus station and all areas in center of the city. The flat was a great size for our family of four, including two teenagers. Would definitely stay here again.
We came from Michigan, USA so the temperatures were very similar. Derek was awesome with replies to any question I had prior to leaving home as well as during our stay. Wonderful host. Clean, warm and spacious. We enjoyed being in Old Town and so close to everything.
This apartment on the Royal Mile is in the perfect location to enjoy all that Edinburgh has to offer. The apartment is clean, comfortable and has everything you need.
Derek’s directions to the flat and breasy check in made for an amazing stay at his Old Edinburgh oasis. Easy walk from station and from mound to mound, and close to close. Absolutely, we made the right call on accommodation.
Perfect location right on the Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh. The view out the window was incredible! Our apartment was so comfortable and clean, and Derek was very easy to communicate with. The little hamper upon arrival made us feel so welcome too. Loved it!
You couldn’t ask for a more prime location. With this came noise at night but nothing unusual. It was great how we could step out our door and walk to anything but also retreat to the apartment to grab a bite or clean up.
This flat was great. It was right in heart of all the happenings. We had a great time. The car park is a good 15 minutes away, but totally doable because you do not need your car most of the time in the city. We had two couples and it was just perfect. We had lots of fun people watching, as the windows look out on the royal mile. You will need to climb some stairs. We are so grateful for all the information shared by our hosts.
My family and I enjoyed a short 2 night stay. Apartment was perfect for our family of 4. The location was perfect and was easy to visit many sites in the city.
Enjoyed staying the middle of the action on the Royal Mile. Good space above the street and able to see and hear buskers in the evening as the kids were going to sleep.
Fabulous location for the Castle and Military Tattoo. People watching from the window seats was fun. The Fringe festival caused minor issues with dropping off and collecting the luggage due to road closures.
The apartment was exactly as described, some noise from the street below, from street cleaners and delivery vehicles but overall bearable. Take ear plugs if a light sleeper. Plenty of little extras such as the welcome pack, condiments in the kitchen and foil, plastic wrap etc leftovers from previous visitors. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay in this apartment.
Great location to explore old town. Beds were comfy and rooms were a good size.
Bathroom is a little narrow but fine for a few days.
It right on the mile and a great place to explore Edinburgh.
Property owner was great to deal with .
Location couldn’t be better. Beds were extremely comfortable. Tea and coffee packets were greatly appreciated. Also helpful to have operating manuals available for all household equipment. Small hiccup with checking in communication but Derek was helpful when I reached him by phone. Small annoyance with having to buy toilet paper late at night as we were only left with 1 roll for a family of 4. Otherwise all was as hoped and we would highly recommend.
We could not have asked for a better property in Edinburgh!
The flat was clean, tidy, bright and incredibly welcoming! The location is ideal for exploring the city. Overlooking the Royal Mile, steps away from the castle, gardens, restaurants, the train station and shopping.
Explore the city on foot… no need for a vehicle. Kids spent lots of time watching the Mile from the multiple window benches, watching buskers, and tours.
Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to visitors!
Thanks again for a fabulous stay!
Great place to stay in the middle of the action! Some of the best times here were spent sitting on window seat watching the people below.
Lovely welcome snacks, clean space.
Beds are hard but we've come to realize Americans really live a nerf life, as most the Beds have been hard here.

Great Location!
Had a great 3 night stay in the heart of Edinburgh! The location was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was spacious and low enough climbing the steps wasn’t an issue. We were able to enjoy the energy of the streets below from the cute window seats in each room. Fun snacks were appreciated after a long travel day.
The couple issues we had were the very uncomfortable mattress in the double bed room that also had old bedding that needed to be replaced. The shower could use a deep clean mildew and slow drain. Last, the door to the street didn’t lock which made security an issue. It is VERY busy outside the door. The host never responded while we were there. A phone number was given but our phone service was bad leaving us to email which was how we communicated up to the visit. So that was disappointing.
This flat is located in the heart of the Royal Mile just a short (albeit uphill) walk from Waverly station. From the multiple window nooks you can easily see the beautiful St Giles Cathedral, hear bagpipes playing and watch the throngs of people walking the Royal Mile. You really are in the heart of the city, most of the major attractions are less than half a mile away - a perfect location for exploring Edinburgh. The hop on/off buses stop right outside but we found everything so close by we never used them. Overall a very bright and clean flat with all the amenities in good order (the clothes washer doesn't dry, but there are heated drying racks). Because of the central location it is noisy day and night (people on the streets, 5 am deliveries of kegs to the pub below, etc), but the views and convenience more than make up for it. Highly recommended.

"As a family we have used self catering properties around the world for our own holidays and know how important it is to make sure that when you arrive you are not disappointed with your choice of holiday accommodation. The two main areas of disappointment that we have found are location and standard!
The apartments that we offer are situated in Edinburgh's no 1 historic tourist street being the Royal Mile and Grassmarket areas. Our apartments are maintained and cleaned to a very high standard exactly as we would want to find ourselves when going on holiday.
We look forward to welcoming you to Edinburgh.
